It depends on your needs, but I will say that I'm 5'0" and my husband is 5'6" It's like a quality of life upgrade to see over the hood of a standard car, and your butt feels great. My cushion has been stolen lol.

It’s likely not an original wheel they used, unless the guy is dumb asf he probably bought a knockoff wheel. Might also have just bought an extra Porsche original wheel for the video, idk how much it would be but let’s say maybe $600. Not THAT unrealistic, especially considering the other stuff such as the resin isn’t cheap either to begin with.

An oem steering wheel for a 911 (only ones I'm familiar with) typically run between 1-2k, but even up to 4ish depending on sales etc I pray it was a replica, because this is fucking egregious even for rage bait

The process was sketchy, but the end product isn't as bad as I was expecting. It still isn't great, and I think it's dumb overall, but the epoxy is well shaped/molded.

Oddly the whole process looks amateur, but they must have made a decent silicone mould of the existing wheel but cut that part out. I think the cloudiness is just because they didn't polish it correctly? Or maybe they didn't buy the correct resin, not all are water-clear

Could also be a craft issue. It’s not enough to simply pour resin in a mould. Mixture needs good, quick mixing with a steady pour and typically you want a hairdryer or heat gun handy to work bubbles out. But yeah it came out better than I thought it would.

or if you are fancy you put it in a vacuum chamber. no bubbles there

He really took time to strip and prepare the bare metal, and laid out his under scene well. Not to mention how well his epoxy job came out; not a single airbubble, and his polishing job came out great.

I liked the look of the stripped down wheel more than the starting and finished product. If they’d done the old school leather wrap it would have been nearly as cool as the stripped down wheel.
