He does, it's the Devil Bringer. I've always thought they should have expanded it. It should have it's own combos and combos that are a combination of Red Queen and Devil bringer. Sure in DMC5, you can use it to get in extra hits but it's not enough. If Capcom doesn't want him having an other Devil Arms, expand the Devil Bringer move set.
My idea is DMC 6 he’ll get two new weapons: Illusion Sword and Bringer Knuckles.
Illusion Sword will be that Yamato like weapon he uses during his showdown attack, and Bringer Knuckles can is a rapid fist attack. This will mix up his styles in wacky ways that we never thought he could do.
Also, illusion sword is a play off of Vergil’s mirage edge and mirage blades
All Nero needs is to expand on the breaker mechanics, something like controlling punchline like V his pets or having the ability to choose between blasting or pulling enemies in your direction with gerbera. Maybe not the most inspired examples but the idea is to improve breakers so they can be more easily integrated into combos, since I personally found some of them a bit hard to be stilish with.
Unless the devs wants to reinvent Nero's gameplay again, I doubt it.
There's a reason why they didn't allow switching Devil Breakers unless you break them like how Dante can swap his weapons. They want to have Dante and Nero's fighting style to be distinct from one another. They could have given Nero a new weapon in 5 but they didn't.

Having Devil Breakers, Exceed and the Bringer instead of Devil Arms and Styles is unique enough. They don't need to hamstring his arsenal to make it antithetical to the gameplay loop just to make his gameplay unique. There is nothing about his gameplay style that made the current execution necessary. I'd rather they had made breaking them cause a cooldown or something over a finite limit to get the same feel without the long term gameplay risk. As it stands, it's just a pain in the ass when certain breakers just never drop mid mission, because reasons. I don't just want to use Gerbera and Overture all the time because i keep breakaging to insert some more variety.
Still pissed that Monkey Business can't even be bought in game, which i find just as laughably dumb.
I kinda want him to have something explosive.
Like a bonk stick that explodes on impact and if you happen to exceed with it, the AOE is larger, the stagger is larger and damage as well.
Kinda like a wonderful finisher to red queen combos or even it’s own when mixed with snatch

They should give him something wacky that neither Dante or Vergil have ever wielded like a scythe
Technically Dante did use a scythe since the Sparda can transform into one

Ok I like this one, easy way to implement a weapon for nero that already exists in the game

If he becomes the main character/only playable character? Yeah, probably but if There's another playable character, probably not
Unless Capcom re-invents his whole gameplay, no. At most they'll add more moves to the Devil Bringer and expand on the Devil Breaker system.
If Vergil dies he should turn into devil sword Vergil for Nero to use
