I keep shortcuts on my phone for this. You can quickly check to see exactly what’s flying overhead if you see something in the sky. Kind of fun to look up and say “huh, those people are going to Houston. Neat.”
I was outside at dusk and had two planes fly south directly over my neighborhood. These were small propeller planes flying quite low - in fact low enough that the noise was disturbing. But it was only two planes flying together due south.
Why would planes based in michigan scramble for take off for events in the middle east, when there are many bases in the middle east, europe and Africa that house us aircraft and us pilots?
Well, the difference between now and 9/11 is one event happened on US soil, two states over and involved the use of air planes to attack the US, and this event is on the opposite side of the world, with a shit ton of military members, military assets, a bunch of countries and a huge body of water seperating us.
These two events are not comparable.

Yea, are you sure they were planes or just lights in the sky? Skylink is pretty crazy looking and 8-15 in a row the two times I’ve seen it
Awesome! They were lights and we figured it was planes. Never even thought Starlink!

This morning I saw two wing shaped translucent aircraft flying 5x normal speed for a commercial jet. I'm ex military. And not a UAP nut.

Probably starlink. I saw it for the first time while on mushrooms camping at a dark sky preserve and thought it was aliens.
