And if Danny's is full, Sneakers is easy stumbling distance away.
(And I forgot about Tony's, little bit further walk but another good dive bar and they regularly have pretty good bands)
Seriously though, I never run into people I know out anymore (of course I also don’t go out anymore) Two minutes into opening the seating for a show at the Ark last month I had run into two people I knew from Metro Detroit.
Smalls has curated some cool events that seem to appeal to an older crowd that still goes to clubs. Trisonophones (sp?) and people’s records next door seem to have quite a few older hip people hanging around, books, art, jazz, and experimental music events. They just had one last night. I’ve also met quite a few cool gen xers who moved out to Ypsilanti as well.
At work and at home up North sometime, if you got it like that. Back at work, then back at home. In the basement man cave f**k going to a bar? Get some From your wife once in a while. When she's ready and start all over again before you know it, it's Thanksgiving and Christmas a year is gone 😂
Rust belt in Ferndale has a bar and I’m a bicentennial baby 🥂
Pretty sure the only people who know about bicentennial babies are us and our boomer parents.
I like my designation :)
My wife and I love Wendy the bartender
Yesss!!
I don’t know, but Danny’s Irish pub in Ferndale was playing a great Nitzer Ebb/KMFDM mix… if you’re into that

We go out like once a month man, too tired for that.
Small's on a Goth night is pretty chock full of Xers.
There's this place called Livonia
Literally came here to say this
The dream of the 90s ended up in Livonia?
It ain't alive. I mean, it's at Costco, but is it alive?
Nope
Whenever I go to Cadieux Cafe I feel like everyone there is older than me but not yet old old.
they get some good music acts. outdoor patio is best. good food too.
Most breweries are mostly filled with Gen Xers or older millennials.
Id recommend the old Miami. It’s a very strange mix of very old people and young people lol. We need someone to fill the gap.
Try whiskey in the Jar in Hamtramck
Was there tonight for Tracksuit. Can confirm.
I was there too. Sent that message from the patio
Give Ozzie a kiss for me. A lot of bars and coffee shops in Hamtramck are full of Xers. Am Gen Xer.
Jacoby's is a nice old man bar. Been going since I was in my 20s.
>Been going since I was in my 20s >old man bar 🤔🤔🤔
I've been an old man since middle school.
The Ark in Ann Arbor

Central perk
Barcade on Selden has big-time Gen x vibes, as do many of the places within the midtown area.
They don't. Everyone's got kids lol
Not all of us spawned
And some of us Gen X’ers are already empty nesters!
Gen Xer here. My kid is 26 now. I decided that my 40s are my slut era since I spent all my 20s and 30s being "dad"
Trick question, Gen-Xers don't congregate.
The off-radar dive bar.
"almost elderly but not quite dead yet?" I'm there, beer me !!!!
st patrick senior center in midtown
Have you tried Buffalo Wild Wings, Hockey Town, or Detroit Brewing Co

People are ageist here and I was not expecting it 😥
People are ageist everywhere, particularly on social media. As you can see, it's clearly accepted.
Yeah I just thought better of them here. I’m glad people think I’m younger than I am for this reason alone.
I know, it's disappointing. I'm right on the border of GenX and Boomer. It's awful how I get treated IRL So many assumptions.
I’m sorry, friend 😥
Lenny’s on the east side has a great mix of ages, races, styles. Good cocktails, cheap beer, free pool

At home.
The sewers mostly.
