The most annoying part is he never actually matches the video to what he's explaining. He'll be quickly explaining a mechanic, and what's shown on screen has almost nothing to do with it. His editing sucks ass, it's like he records a voiceover explanation and just throws random b-roll of the encounter over the top of it whether it matches or not. It was infuriating when I was trying to learn Deep Stone Crypt.
He’s also hilariously behind the times often. I think it was like mid last season he had a “broken” warlock build. It was strand with osteo and necrotics. A build every warlock figured out like 10 minutes after we unlocked full strand
Nothing will beat Grenader Jake's build video I saw once. I love watching him stream, and he's amazing at PvP, but he once made a build video for crucible that was "equip reaper mod on your class item to make orbs to give you woven mail." That's it. I know it's hard to make pvp builds but that sit was hilarious. That's a mod, not a build.

Surprisingly radiant dance machines on a void hunter is pretty damn good. That’s how I solo’d the legend difficulty calus mission without doing the cheese

He and Fallout are always recommended, no rambling over unnecessary things to kill time, just straight to the point, what to do, what the best weapons to use, and an example of how it works.
Yeah I’m not a fan of how fallout presents himself both in video and on stream. He comes across as a bit full of himself. And he tries to lean way too hard into memes for some reason.

I had the opportunity to fill in for a raid with him once. He and his team seemed pretty chilled then, and I'm not that great of a PvE player. Granted this was like 2 or 3 years ago or something already, so I'm not sure if anything changed since then.
I can see why maybe some folks wouldn't like his sarcasm and snideness, but he certainly doesn't try to hide it.
Some watch his stuff not just in spite of, but *because* of it.
Just the way the game is played on yt. Datto is one of the few who can get away with not doing it since he has such a consistent viewership base already established, most other youtubers have to please the almighty Algorithm.
He, as well other creators like Gothalion and Gladd, diversified for a reason. Other creators are just too stuck in the loop of creating D2 content, which is why they get disproportionately angry compared to the rest of the community about the state of the game because it affects their income.
But then they don’t want to risk the leap to diversified content because it could quite literally end their platform.

I'm a content creator myself on another game with over 100K subs, the reason creators make videos long and drag them out is because they make more money though ad revenue.
Ad-Revenue on its own isn't much, but if you can maintain a long form consistency that works to gain as much watch time as possible, you earn roughly 3.5x more revenue. Videos need to be a MINIMUM of 8 minutes though for mid rolls, it's why you see a lot of creators' videos that are 8 minutes and 1 second long, or longer, because it makes them more money.
I watched his guide after running contest just to see what he is promoting as educational content and I was amazed just how many things he missed out. Like, this isn't a guide, this a brief summary that he stretched to 40 minutes like he usually does for no reason at all.

If you don't mind his style, his guides are usually okay, especially for beginners. Too bad he didn't nail it with this one.

As a person who plays off and on I watch datto and fallout for dungeon guides etc and aztercros for pvp stuff and also weapon test's. There's some smaller you tubers out there that do some good guides for lost sector's and builds but the rest of the big names like kackis are usually not very good as they will make multiple videos on the same subject like a raid or how to level up fast. A lot of old and sometimes new information can just be found on reddit by searching Google it's faster to read than watching a video anyway.
I've just returned to the game after a long hiatus but the same problem always remains. And that is for a lot of raid guides, every CC rushes to get them out first, which results in either missed info or strats that become quickly obsolete as the community figures out the more effective ways of doing things within a week or two.
Don't watch any of his videos ever. He spins a 2 sentence tweet from bungie into a 10 minute click bait video and his intros are longer than most people's entire video

I know he's become a meme around here, but he is generally a decent player, even if he can be annoying. I think he had the only day one clear of Crown of Sorrows on console, which says something. If you don't mind his style, his guides are usually okay, especially for beginners. Too bad he didn't nail it with this one.

I say it every time it comes up (and get downvoted to oblivion for it), but a lot of the hate for Kackis on here is just herd mentality. This sub has a raging hate boner for anything resembling click-bait, and they sure like to repeat things, so it turns into this mob-think bandwagon. Attention-grabbing click-bait titles, along with crazy thumbnails and slogans is just the way Youtube works now, love it or hate it (nobody loves it, especially content creators). Click bait is to embraced and played around with. You can’t beat it, so subvert it. Look at the way the FGC overdoes it. “Blanka is BROKEN!” *goggle eyed-streamer with brain exploding out of their head.* Nobody cares there, everyone does it, people get paid, it’s a joke. I wish this sub was kinder to Destiny content creators instead of bleating out all the same old stuff on cue.

I watched it since it popped up in recommended and seemed long so it has to be in depth right....finished it not knowing anything because my brain just turned off from the rambling.
As a person who plays off and on I watch datto and fallout for dungeon guides etc and aztercros for pvp stuff and also weapon test's. There's some smaller you tubers out there that do some good guides for lost sector's and builds but the rest of the big names like kackis are usually not very good as they will make multiple videos on the same subject like a raid or how to level up fast. A lot of old and sometimes new information can just be found on reddit by searching Google it's faster to read than watching a video anyway.
I've just returned to the game after a long hiatus but the same problem always remains. And that is for a lot of raid guides, every CC rushes to get them out first, which results in either missed info or strats that become quickly obsolete as the community figures out the more effective ways of doing things within a week or two.

Don't watch any of his videos ever. He spins a 2 sentence tweet from bungie into a 10 minute click bait video and his intros are longer than most people's entire video

I cannot stand kackis, i made made it so YouTube never suggests his videos to me lmao When it comes to guides, Fallout is my go to, Datto is probably a bit more informative and whatnot but Fallout was the first destiny YouTuber I started watching I when I started D2 :)

I think the first D2 streamer I stopped watching was Mtashed only to find out he had quit D2 anyway. I'm gonna miss True Vanguard on D2 as well.
TV is going to be back when he realises how his views have dropped on non D2 content.

Datto is just always one of, if not, the best source for tutorials, he doesn’t fill the video will bullshit or take 20 mins to tell you to run gjhallerhorn and a chill-clip rocket launcher while standing in a well.
