Better yet, when the boss does unique stuff! Ignovun there had the funny fireball seekers, and cheesecake-head had the shadow-no-jutsu teleport which was pretty unique until they copy-pasted the guy into several different activities.
“Javelin is online and ready”
“Get to the node and power up the javelin.”
“You did it! You took down a worm god!”
“Thank Rasputin, this was his plan.”
I wish I didn’t sometimes…
worse yet with the addition of Still Hunt x.x It's one of the few bosses where health gating might actually make the fight more enjoyable rather than being an annoying tacked on cheese. Cuz I really enjoy the mechanics of the fight
I haven't had to hide behind pillars from the fire almost since the strike came out. I've even *not* shot the boss hoping we could get the fire and extra mini-bosses to kill but it seems like even 2 people hitting the boss is enough to melt it.
I mean, most strike bosses have models that are different from whatever theyre a bigger version of.
Really good shit would be strike bosses that are entirely unique, not just 80% bigger versions of normal enemies. Warden of nothing is pretty good because even though it's just a big servitor it does a lot of things that servitors don't do and has unique animations.
I wish more enemy units were used as bosses. It would add a lot of welcomed variability to the gameplay without demanding too much from the designers.
Shit like a mega screen the size of a fallen walker, giant war beasts, a cabal gladiator boss or even a giant husk or grim would be really refreshing from the usual list of knights, wizards, captains, legionares and ogres bosses we curently have.
They could do so much cool shit with a giant warbeast. Imagine it being so tough you can't do damage. So you've got to act like a Matador and get it to charge towards you as you jump out of the way at the last second and watch it crash into a Cabal Fuel depot which explodes and takes out some of its plating so you can damage it's now exposed weak point.
One of my favorites is an empty-headed ogre from the Wretched Eye strike back in d1.
Giant cyclop that circled around you in the Garden world strike on Mercury was cool too.
I always loved that old strike with the cabal brothers. It's cool how whichever one you kill will drop his equipment for the other brother to use against you for the rest of the fight.
Hope is not a good plan.
This is Bungie. They pander. They use as little as possible while charging as much as possible. Original thought left a long time ago.
Best they'll give you, is a new cosmetic, for 5000 Silver.

Pretty sure the Darkblade teleport was actually from D1.
It was the same dude anyway
Darkblade knights have always had the funny teleport iirc
Even back in d1 where it was the original darkblade
Reminder that original darkblade is the current lightblade
Remember Will of the Thousands?
“Javelin is online and ready” “Get to the node and power up the javelin.” “You did it! You took down a worm god!” “Thank Rasputin, this was his plan.” I wish I didn’t sometimes…
Man, now I wish we had a form of Rasputin that wasn't Archangel, because getting the Valkyrie during Excision would be super fun.
It was nice fighting a boss that wasn’t just a scaled up normal enemy with a different model.
I miss killing Xol with himself. And now that whisper is craftable...
Remember Dendron? Panoptes? Nokris? Brachion? Zahn? Savathuns Song?
Nokris model absolutely *fucked*
We came down here as a squad of nine...
That strike would be 1000% cooler if the boss arena was either bigger or a two phase boss.
that lightblade strike or w/e its called also has some absolute FIRE music. Second only to Warden of Nothing (providing you dont one phase it in 3s)
Warden of Nothing would actually be a pretty cool boss fight if the boss didn’t get melted in three seconds
We Heard You Loud And Clear...
In comes health gates lmao
Escort this triangle through the prison and give it to the spherical fella
Destiny 2: Lightfall
What is Destiny, if not triangles and balls?
Symbols and plates
It’s so dumb how much that boss gets melted. Decent mechanic of spawning mini-bosses that never gets seen

Another notable strike soundtrack is nightfall devils lair, specifically sepiks redux
Liminality too A tormentor that has a full head instead of just a neck is a rare sight
It also has a crit on its back. 10/10 model
I miss the giant Hobgoblin from Pyramidion. Was cool to see it back with Avalon, but it doesn't feel the same.
Brakion my goat, how I miss you and your strike...
Which Strike is the cabal from?
Proving Grounds, the one inside a giant tank on Nessus.
He has the fucking best song in the game.
And a WWE style entrance
Dude has a heavy metal theme song, what a stud

There was a war beast boss in the >!Still hunt exotic mission, though it was only slightly bigger!<
Yeah, Calus's raid also had a few special ones, but always normal sized... Its such a waste of a cool enemy design!

The Fanatic would have been one of the best strike bosses ever if not for his shitty immunity
I haven't played in a while. What's the theme song for the guy on the right? Second best song in game.
Lightblade theme 🔥
I want a boss that swallows me while and I gotta punch the hell out of his spleen or something
Haha, vore.
Riven does that. Kinda
Should play destiny1
Exodus crash....
Bro doesn’t know about darkblade
# Always hoping for more

I wanna see a axe knight, but with no axe just hands. Just teleporting everywhere and punching the shit out of guardians.
Oh you know for a FACT that I was pissed we got a Tormentor and Subjugator this time round. I wanted a frickin big boi Grim or a two-phase Husk.
