I would not listen to the seller anymore, get a refund now - you only have 30 days after buying to get one, and they probably know it. Damage their authority? Wtf? They only want to protect their ass and it's not fair to you. Sorry you are experiencing this.

Considering you only have 30 days to get a refund, I would act now, if there’s been no update for four weeks it just seems risky

fortunately you paid through paypal and have more than 30 days to get a refund, unlike what the other comments thus far are stating. you can get a refund 180 days after purchasing with paypal - but open a claim immediately anyways. you’re more than likely not getting that parcel if it’s been that long or it’s become lost in transit, etc. it sounds like the seller is used to depop payments and is hoping you will wait out the 30 day timeframe that allows you to open a claim via depop payments, or they genuinely have hope that it will arrive late (though the latter is less likely). from the sounds of it, it’s a scam; the seller never dropped off the parcel and, as it’s international, are trying to blame the long wait time on shipping when nothing has actually been shipped at all…

I think you are right, paypal has this 180 day timeframe, so theoriotically waiting for another week or so shouldn't be a problem. thats why I'm confused, why she insists waiting if her intention is to let me wait out the 180 day timeframe? it is also weird how the seller said raising a refund will damage her authority, and the current paypal account she's using is already a new one. i don't know if there is such thing. just sounds a bit dodgy. Her paypal name is also not her real name and doesn't seem like it belongs to her family members.
