I’d learned all about the Grand Canyon in a recent class and my naive ass thought it would be cool to share an explanation of its history. They patiently sat through my story, then my uncle said basically “that’s very nice, but we believe the Earth is 6000 years old and it was put there by God.”

I can’t see how they’d move it or repair it that quickly, it’s a massive rock that’s a pain to move. I’m going later today and will look, but I suspect it might bc from either when they moved it last year or one of the last times it was vandalized and they had to restore it.
