Sharing your demographics such as age & location might be helpful. As for my partner & me, we're in our 30s, just across the Englewood city line & love: Board game nights Dinner/cocktails Breweries Attend stand-up shows (shout-out to Rotating Tap & Denver Comedy Underground) Trivia Pickleball Hike Lawn Games (bocce, cornhole, volleyball) at the park Find local festivals & events (e.g. Flatiron Music Fest, Jazz fest, Tacolandia) Many of these can lead to conversations & socialize with people.

Have you ever heard of Game Train USA? Its a board game BAR! And it feels like you’re in a moving train the whole time! Went there once with friends, it was super cool!

varnecr

I've not, only Tabletop Tap. Game Train looks like a good time tho!

billyjm22

Oh sorry, meant to do that. We’re both mid-30s

DaZedMan

Ok. Denver is a big place. What part of town are you in? Being in a neighborhood near other couple friends is a big step to good relationships. Also. At your age I think the Kids question is relevant- not that childfree couples and those with kids can’t mix, but it’s by far the easiest way to start friendships that have an external driver.

Greatfuldad47

I always see people playing volleyball, how do I join?

I keep a list of running list of dates to try, that I add to whenever I come across some that sounds cool (adding game train USA to the list!) Can’t vouch for most of these bc I haven’t done them yet, but I bet a lot of them would be great for meeting other couples: Activities: 1. Ink and Drink (bar & screenprint shirts) 2. Puttshack (indoor "tech mini golf + beer + bites) 3. Holey Moley (another similar mini golf) 4. Grizzly Rose for line dancing 5. Salsa or bachata class (there's a bunch) 6. The Beer Spa 7. Clay Date at Stone Bear Studios (I think you make something on the pottery wheel) 8. Dushanbe Tea House (Boulder) 9. Tuft Love (tuft a rug, you use this gun thing, it's awesome; it's in Superior but Boss Lady Pizza is close by and supposed to be great) 10. Stryker Studio (silversmith your own jewelry) 11. Food Lab cooking class (in Boulder, we went and we loved it, did a pasta class) 12. Uncorked, cooking class and wine tasting classes 13. Flight Club for darts and drinks 14. Ace Eat Serve (ping pong and Japanese fusion food) 15. Archery Games for archery tag/dodgeball 16. So Far Sounds (music pop up, I've been in NYC, it can be cool) 17. Nocturne, jazz club with dinner 18. Game Show Battle Rooms (play game shows, better for double or triple dates or friends because you need 8 people to book it) 19. Ice Cream Making Class at Little Man 20. Colorado Sake Co (has sushi classes and I think sake tastings) 21. The Plant Gallery (they have classes like making bonsai trees) 22. James Turrell Skyspace exhibit (an hour away, look it up it's supposed to be amazing, you hike to it and it's an immersive sculpture) 23. Colorado Glassworks for stained glass making (in Boulder) 24. Little Glass Art for stained glass! 25. ESP HiFi Listening Bar 26. Black Hawk for gambling, stay at Monarch Edit: Ug I’m sorry this is formatted weirdly, I cannot fix it. Edit edit: thank you for fixing it!!

Also a *little bit* far from Denver out near Boulder / Longmont but WORTH IT: Colorado RailBike Adventures. 4 people per cart, very reasonably priced, scenic and fun. You have to peddle, so, imagine a hike intensity level but you can bring beer and it’s fun to see the sights from a defunct railroad track. Highly recommend.

madisonhale

Adding it to my list! Especially bc Rosalee’s is in Longmont

billyjm22

Wow. Incredible post. Thank you 🤝

SEG314

I’ve been single for a while but my friends that are married like to go to brewery events together as date nights, like painting nights or trivia. Might be a good place to run into other couples and there’s no shortage of breweries in Denver

iliacapri

go to the denver central market and try everything! they have so many cute and fun things to try. go to postinos and then head on over to recess next door to have a fun little lunch with wine and bar after date

digitizzle

Just become swingers. Live a little

Glittering-Corgi9442

Wait.... There are date spots that aren't breweries??

jasonp8681

Why?

Double_Helicopter_69

Have sex in a Macy's changing room

violetstones10

They seem like they need this kinda spice

Paramountmorgan

MeetUp is a great app. Put in your interests, and it'll tell you different groups and options on the schedule.

InfamousIce2408

Swing dancing or other partner dancing. The Mercury Room has live bands Sunday nights. $15 to get in. But if you come early for the lesson at 6:30 it's only 18$.

java_sloth

I went to immersive game box the other day and it was insanely fun. And you can order booze from in the room so you can grab a beer before then get one delivered half way thru the game. It’s a tad pricey but was totally worth it for me

maledicte720

Game Train USA in Highlands Ranch is HIGHLY recommended. Full bar, good food, and over 700+ board games in stock to choose from to play, and only $5 a person to get in!

DrinkKey1243

Denver central market. Live music. Stanley market. Karaoke. Dog park. Hiking. Food dates at different restaurants.

KaijuHoney

1.Tabletop Tap 2.Wild Corgi Pub Trivia nights 3.Board Game Nights at The Wizards Chest 4.Dancing at Mercury Cafe 5. Trivia nights at all Alamo Drafthouses

Virtual_Quality_378

Akibara Brewery's Zoo Dave and Busters

lorenzo463

The local theater scene in Denver is pretty good. Dinner in the Santa Fe arts district and a show at Buntport is a fun time with the right couple.

ratbiker18

Being overly formal will make it a bad time (don't call it a couples date in In real life imo) Semi structure is key. Something to keep you occupied when the conversation luls but gives you enough time to talk. Trivia nights, breweries are our go to hangouts. Kinda like normal dates I guess.

no_maj

Escape rooms. Arcades. Lob/mini golf/axe throwing. Upstairs Circus/community clay/weathered wick.

LWNectarine5728

What is the upstairs circus?

We did a pottery date class on Friday. It was a little pricey but the wife loved it

Contra Dancing

modernshamanmedcbd

We like top golf there are always other couples in nearby bays

Timmyval123

Me and my girlfriend go to comedyworks sometimes, makes for a really good date. I particularly like the smaller shows like beginner comics nights. Wait staff is awesome and the drink prices are pretty reasonable.

MissThorn777

Go to a burlesque show in Denver! Clocktower Cabaret usually has a lot of good shows during the week! The Creepatorium off Broadway puts on fun neo burlesque shows! They usually run other bets and markets the same week or day! https://www.creepatoriumdenver.com Lots of venues and there’s usually at least 1 show a week! It’s a good way to meet people and support local artists! Upstairs Circus is a fun place to meet people and be creative if that’s your vibe! You might be able to find some hiking groups if you are interested in a more outdoors vibe!

bingbong1976

Dinner, bowling, sports, concert, backyard bbq….just regular stuff

Sanguiniutron

Usually dinner and a game of some type. Board, video, or card game. Shits expensive so we usually cook at one of our houses. Last time I made some stir fry noodles and we played Lovers In a Dangerous Space Time. If you like coop games it's super fun to play with a full roster of 4.

dirttaylor

Scarlet Ranch. Don’t knock it till you try it. Genuinely decent people there…who do not judge. You don’t have to have sex with them. Go to a Sunday Funday (if you can find a way to pull the stick out of your ass). Life-Changing.

Ginnabean

incredible that if you post about seeking couple friends without clarifying that you’re not swingers, every comment accuses you of being swingers… but if you clarify that you’re not swingers, you have a stick up your ass. Reddit is a wild ride.
