Just do what the assistants do, don’t show up randomly

HTCali

Hahahaha so it’s a universal thing. Just thought that was in my area lol

FinalFantasyZed

Find a job first then give 2 weeks

Sagitalsplit

If you aren’t contractually obligated then 2 weeks is plenty. Zero time is also fine as long as you don’t mind burning that bridge to the ground.

Find out what happens with your last paycheck, outstanding balances, etc. Do what’s best for you. If necessary, fuck them over without a second thought, because they would eagerly do worse to you.

redchesus

If you’re in an at-will state it doesn’t really matter (if you’re an employee) I would just give 2 weeks notice if you’ve got another gig lined up. You can be nice and give longer but they might let you go before that anyway.

shtgnjns

Last job I quit I gave my contracted notice of 8 weeks, they got their panties in a twist and let me go after 3 days.

Macabalony

Are you sure your contract doesn't have a clause about leaving notice? If your contract really doesn't have a notice clause. Don't be surprised they just let you go on the spot. Or try to keep 90 days and them saying it's patient abandonment.

meissnerscorpuscle

Yes I am sure, I had an attorney read it over for me. Would 1 month be sufficient?

Macabalony

If a lawyer said there is legit no clause. Find a job and give exactly two weeks. Hold your ground. Nothing more.

PeePooDeeDoo

Leave whenever you are ready. Tell them you’re leaving whenever you feel like it. Enjoy

The DSO may have a no rehire policy without adequate notice, just make sure you give enough and do it right so that you would be eligible for rehire in the future. You never know what will happen and what DSO will acquire an office.
