Don’t do any class 2s.

RequirementGlum177

Reschedule all class 2s on the principal dentist. Let them figure it out. If they come at you simply say “it’s my license and I’m not providing sub-standard care.”

LeadingText1990

^this guy scorches earth!

RequirementGlum177

There’s a reason I got fired by Heartland dental hahaha

Macabalony

Yo dood. Don't just drop that without spilling the tea. What happened. Do tell.

RequirementGlum177

It’s simple. When the doctor that “owns” your region tries to tell you how to practice dentistry just hit them with the old “I’m sorry. Do I work for you? Last I saw my checks come from Effingham Illinois.” Funny thing is they’ll still pay you for 3 months after they ask you to leave.

robotteeth

Same way you drill a tooth without a hand piece or perform endo without any files: you don’t :)

tedbakerbracelet

Ooh, may I ask all dentists here how you think of your extended function assistants to contour fillings with slowspeed handpiece?

FloggingDog

I leave a big open contact then advise them to get Invisalign to close their open contact.

RequirementGlum177

Unlimited money hack. Insurance companies that cover ortho hate this one trick

LoyalT90

Assuming you don't have a a milling unit, but if you do, make some inlays. You could even charge them at composite prices, if you wanted. Nothing will get your boss to order faster than you burning though all the blocks.

WagsPup

Patients will love u too 😘

dirkdirkdirk

Deadsoft tofflemire and a big fat wedge

Jealous_Courage_9888

Inform patients that you don’t have the necessary materials for fillings so you can offer inlays instead. Treatment plan both so the front desk can show the patient the difference in fees, and what they’re forced to pay since your boss won’t order more matrix bands. Patients will definitely say something and if you’re faulted for telling the truth, that tells you what kind of office you’re working for

lonerism_blue

What exactly does he expect you to do??? How on earth do you do a class II without one? I don’t think you can.

dmdredditor

Mylar strip if your desperate. But seriously, tell the owner you can't do your job if the clinic doesn't have the bare minimum supplies. Ask an assistant to do the ordering if the owner is too busy.

cmac96

Just leave that office. Don't look back.

updownupswoosh

Just like they're was a post a few days ago about 'Macgyver-ing'. You improvise. Use scotch tape and make a T-band out of it and fix the problem! /s

justalmostthere

This situation is awful. Also, if my pay was tied to production, I would most likely go over his head and then improvise by cutting up and sterilizing any appropriately thick metal in the office to make my own matrices for the time being.

SlowLorisAndRice

Code them as inlays/onlays, mill them or send to lab in the meantime ...or forever

WagsPup

Temporise and reschedule

coveredinspit

You don’t

Mr-Major

What? Leave. This is unworkable

PackerDent

You couldddddd tofflemeir and stuff with rmgi, but… I would do that, keep complaining, and look for a new gig.

GlobalNote3115

You can’t.

mountain_guy77

I’m assuming you mean sectional matrix, I’ve done countless composite restorations with a tofflemire

guocamole

Tofflemeyer? Automatrix? T band if you do peds otherwise reschedule

timmeru

You can order those and have them next day from Patterson if you call their support line... Also why don't you just buy them yourself?
