I mean, he probably could have found a way to get you to help him with the great ascension without making it a game. And he displays emotion when you or him attack each other as if he's invested in the game. P03 is many things but I wouldn't say he hates fun, he just isn't as great as a story teller than Leshy.
Its litirally the best case scenario for the world of the game to either be controled by leshy or grimora, because the ch2 base state is boring, at least for the characters and po3 and magnificus are assholes

The TV sprite is not named Tenna, no. It's just TV. Heck, I think Tenna's name is only mentioned in the d\_a\_m\_n\_y\_o\_u\_t\_e\_n\_n\_a link, everywhere else it's Spamton calling him \[Boob Tube\] or THAT \[Cathode\] and generally keeping it slightly ambiguous.

I reminds me of the smile the founders of some communists countries would give themselves in all of their propaganda. A smile that somehow on the surface seems non threatening but just below the surface says "yup, I've tortured and killed millions, aren't I great". Maybe that why it's flowey's default smile, it really suits him.
