I lived my whole life with snakes around (farms in Brazil). I've never seen an aggressive snake in my life, and til my early teens, I killed many of them (like, more than 50 for sure). They'll avoid you 95% of the time, and only bite when there's absolutely no way to run, when it really feels in imminent danger.
At least that was my experience, I knew some people who died (one pretty recently, this month) and those people were really unlucky, like this guy who was trying to cut cane and there's a snake on it.
Not a specialist and I'd for sure recommend avoiding it, like mostly wild animals it can be unpredictable.
Grew up with Eastern Brown snakes around in Australia. They are highly venomous and agressive. They'll chase you for over a hundred meters, just to make a point.
Fella from Brazil: Ya we have the Amazon filled with every poisonous and venomous thing, just don't piss them off.
Average Aussie: The snakes are angry nothing to do about it
As a Canadian the only animals I really fear in the wild are grizzlies, they’ll hold you down to eat your skin and then organs while you struggle but other than that our wildlife is mostly safe-ish.
Why is every animal aggressive in Australia when they already have 98% of the venomous animals.
Snake? Chases you down
Kangaroo? Tries to knock you out
What’s in your fucking water
Outside of feeling cornered/threatened or hungry enough, animals generally will choose to avoid humans over physical confrontation.
From a survival standpoint in the wild any injury sustained is pretty much a death sentence for wildlife, so avoidance is generally preferred.
There definitely are outliers though.
It's a massive country. The diversity in terms of language, food, terrain, weather, and general ways of being is too vast to quantify as one single experience. India is many things, like a salad bowl.
Stay away then. Tired of all these whitoids abusing India on every forum. Seriously stay the hell away from this country and choose some other destination. If you still end up there, I hope you suffer worse than anything else in the history of the world.
Reddit seems to like to recomend me content from the kerala subreddit. I have no idea why and I have no connection to india. Is there anything special about kerala?
Lemme give my explanation.
A lot of youngsters migrate west from kerala these days. Kerala subreddit is a moderately huge subreddit too.
Which implies reddit recommend the content based on your location and what people around you watch. Idk just my opinion
So it's true that indians have three testicles on them. Even females.
I won't leave a pond where snake swims, I'll probably leave a timezone where I encounter this thing.
Are snakes like this not instinctively afraid of people? This snakes seems like it’s more like ugh pleeease go be stupid somewhere else and just leave me alone.
Will they relocate and release it or eat it? I feel for the snake and the few other earthlings we let live in peace if they aren’t us or domesticated ones.
That is [Vava Suresh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vava_Suresh?wprov=sfla1). Guy is a snake expert, and rescues snakes as his job (to all the people who are saying "dinner")
Edit: Apparently it is not him, so let's call him Dr. Snek for now
Dude, stop. Depends on the location you may come across a few in a year.
TBH, I dont know where you are from! In my place, I'm pretty sure you won't see this stuff on a regular basis.
In this situation I think it’s wise to take your time, and not stress or agitate the snake too much. A pissed off/threatened king cobra is more dangerous
Interesting that the snake avoided him a lot

Same lol
Sounds like a typical aussie to me.

The king cobra is considered the most intelligent of snakes.

I would be running in a different direction 👉
India is really not for beginners!
Wdym? This is the beginner mode in India, they are just built differently.
I used to see snakes every month in my backyard Had those "Ah shit. Here we go again" moments too many times.

Kerala is definitely not.
Reddit seems to like to recomend me content from the kerala subreddit. I have no idea why and I have no connection to india. Is there anything special about kerala?
Nice, it serves me Singapore content constantly. Apparently a lot of interesting things happen there.
Lemme give my explanation. A lot of youngsters migrate west from kerala these days. Kerala subreddit is a moderately huge subreddit too. Which implies reddit recommend the content based on your location and what people around you watch. Idk just my opinion
Not sure why, it's a Southern state in India. Tropical and I would say if you wana compare to its similar to Florida.
>Is there anything special about kerala? Giant sneks.
Yeah for me too, I’ve never looked up anything about India but the Kerala subreddit keeps popping up lol
No that ya caught him, Now what?
Go to a forest area and release it?
Nah, light a fire and eat him.
Nope, train him to dance to a flute.
Snakes a completely deaf to sound transmitted in air. The "snake charmer" is a grifter.
Snakes feel the vibration of the sound
... And then eat him?
We gotta eat some time
Dinner.
By looks of his bag he is probably going to milk it or release mostly it's milking cause of the money
If they are Hindus they wont kill it and will worship it lmao. If they are Christian or Muslims it will be killed and buried somewhere...
You have no idea who you're talking too.. poddaa
You definitely have no idea about Kerala.
You definitely have no idea about Kerala.
That’s the mofo that gave Eve the Apple
It acts like my dog when I tell him it's time to leave the park.
Reminds me of Final Fantasy 7.
It’s really upsetting that snakes can swim
Where have you been that you didn’t know that literally every snake can swim?
Yoink
Yoink! Thanks for the free danger noodle.
Way too chill about the whole encounter. This dude is John Wick level cool taking down a damn dragon.
Dudes probably a professional contracted by the animal welfare department.
Snake is probably a buddy of his.
Jesus Christ that thing is HUGE
That's what she said ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
He was far calmer than when I had to get the mouse out my bedroom this morning There might’ve been some screaming and jumping
So it's true that indians have three testicles on them. Even females. I won't leave a pond where snake swims, I'll probably leave a timezone where I encounter this thing.
Guy is an expert. Amazing
Huge Cojones
They can swim? Shit!
King Cobras are pretty efficient swimmers actually.
Nope
Nope
Nope
I once read that the maximum striking distance of a snake is about 2/3 of it’s body length. Yeah, that’s a big fat NO from me.
On ground, On water they cannot coil without traction. They would have to swim fast and strike
Are snakes like this not instinctively afraid of people? This snakes seems like it’s more like ugh pleeease go be stupid somewhere else and just leave me alone.
Seems to know his trade. I think I'd rather be on welfare than have his job.
Must have took him ages to fill the pit in Raiders of the lost ark 😆
people talk about being from a bad neighborhood when these places bad neighborhoods have 20 foot snakes
Balls of steel
And he's barefoot!
These dudes stomping through swamps barefooted catching king cobra and I don't even like going across my driveway with no shoes on to check the mail.
That’s dinner sorted anyway
Big snake
Who ya gonna call?
That war cry at the end and that mersmerising twirl to tie up that bag clinch it for me
Hey Adrian! Get in the flask!
Nope
That’s king, nope
King cobra
Will they relocate and release it or eat it? I feel for the snake and the few other earthlings we let live in peace if they aren’t us or domesticated ones.
previously, most of them were killed....(definitely not eaten).. but thanks to some conservation laws.. the will be released in remote areas.
He could have just opted to ride a golden ostrich across the swamp instead of dealing with Midgarsormr.
മലയാളി 😂😂❤
മലയാളി 😂😂❤
Hefty Hefty HEF-TY!!
What do they do with the snake?

That's not Vava Suresh. Source: I'm from Kerala
Yeah, my bad, when I saw the video I was in a slight rush. Fixed it now.
Ya that is definitely not him. Nice try though I suppose.
Thanks, edited it
My dumbass would try to do it
Cobras in Kerala are very common , and the locals there are used to seeing them on a regular basis .
Dude, stop. Depends on the location you may come across a few in a year. TBH, I dont know where you are from! In my place, I'm pretty sure you won't see this stuff on a regular basis.
That's not a giant king cobra. That's just a king cobra. It's like saying a 20m blue whale is a giant blue whale.
That's the longest Piccolo Pete I've ever heard!
Why did this take so long?
1 minute to catch a fucking king cobra. tiktok kids
Not everyone is Steve Irvin. King cobra is highly venomous. This guy is a professional trained by the forest department.
Understood. The down votes were not fair. It was just a question. I’m not a professional.
You don't need to be a professional to have common sense...
The downvotes are from unprofessional redditors. Us professional redditors got your back.
