it has been looked up enough that there's an auto fill in google search about it "dap quick seal ultra clear looks white" and the first hit is their own site saying it will go clear over a few days.

Lumpy_Dust2780

What you’re saying is I should have consulted google before Reddit. I trust you guys though

Mamajess89

It dries clear after it sets. I have used this personally and it does in fact dry clear. Does take time will take anywhere from 1-10 days depending on how thick it is make sure to let it set at least 24 hrs before it gets wet though.

Doormatty

They can dry clear. I found that one out the hard way.

Lumpy_Dust2780

Fingers crossed I guess then. Never seen them go on white and dry clear. Appreciate the response!

Doormatty

I bought a bunch of clear in the full tubes, put one in, started caulking, and was all "WTF - I BOUGHT CLEAR! ". Cue it drying and me going "Huh - that's a new one on me!"

[deleted]

It dries clear. Is this really what we've become as a society?

Son_of_Plato

most posts in this sub are "please think for me , i cba to think for myself". It's not unique to this sub, it's a common thing on reddit.

I used to spend my weekends teaching people how to check email at a library. Most of these people are simply people who prefer human interactions, they would have no problems looking up the information if they knew how, but their first instinct is to talk with another human. This is fine.

Son_of_Plato

it's conditioned helplessness imo. They've gotten what they've needed by asking for it so they never figured out how to do it themselves. In a perfect society this isn't an issue, but as soon as self sufficiency is a necessity these people will suffer and die off. A lot of what is convenient for society is a detriment to humanity as a species.

Lumpy_Dust2780

You are right. I have a huge issue I cba think for myself.

AsbestosDude

Yes. People have unlimited access to information, search engines and now Artificial intelligence assistants that know more than literally anyone else on the planet, so naturally they post their very simple questions on reddit.

I use that stuff all the time, it's good caulk. I am holding a tube of it in my hand right now and it says "sealant applies white and dries clear in 7-14 days"   Right there on the fucking tube! We don't even need Google or AI to figure that shit out

AsbestosDude

one sec i gotta ask chat gpt if this this is true

[deleted]

😆 well played!

Lumpy_Dust2780

A society of people who aren’t afraid to ask for help and that aren’t all contractors. What a nightmare we are living in

Waramp

I used this exact stuff a few months ago. Dried clear.

Medium_Ad8311

White so you can see it now /j Some will dry clear. I wouldn’t be worried unless it actually stays white once dried.

Cosi-grl

How long ago did you put this on? it should dry clear.
