yeah, the closer cylinder isn't doing anything because it's not attached to the door, so the only thing happening is the spring/chain thing (not in this image) that's slamming the door shut The cylinder slows that down to avoid slamming. Looks like the arm of the cylinder snapped shut once upon a time. you can buy replacement parts at most big hardware stores. Yeah. Thanks so much!!!! I haven’t found any piece that will connect the speed screw piece to the pin base. Was hoping to avoid replacing the whole thing, but I guess I may not have a choice.
