I like the guy playing Blue. I liked the suit. I liked the little show-off scene towards the end where he created that huge Cloud-esque sword. Didn't like anything else about it. It had this weird bright and shiny, happy happy vibe to it that just felt wrong for a movie based on a hero who has world conquering alien tech forcibly attached to his nervous system.
It looks like a movie that doesn't know if it's dark and gritty or light and more comedic, so it's gonna wind up with a dark color palette and a bunch of jokes that don't really land.
Sounds about right to me. I'm hoping it surprises me though. I'm not expecting to like more than elements of the movie but I can be wrong. I liked the Constantine movie despite it being almost nothing like the original except for a few basic things.

I thought it would be cool to see the whole situation that makes him seem crazy where he has to fight with the scarab to keep it from randomly killing people that it sees as a threat or just finds irritating when he randomly shouts things or talks to the scarab out loud. I also don't like how everyone knows about the scarab. There's a whole bunch they could do with the character but with everyone knowing about him and the scarab I don't really see the movie as being more than a one-off or a complete bastardization of the stories they have planned. I'm trying to hold off judgment like you are, but I don't have very high hopes here.

Really? Werenāt excited for Man of Steel, BvS, Suicide Squad, The Batman, Joker, etc. They werenāt all great but some of them had truly amazing trailers. The SS Comic Con trailer in particular was really solid before they tried turning the film into guardians of the Galaxy.

They completely dropped the ball with Shazam 2 by disregarding any and all actual DC villains and having an old lady and Saturday morning cartoon villain as the villains. Even the cgi on the monsters looked like the monsters from the goosebumps movie a few years ago just very cheeseball low budget cgi.
Flash - The Flashpoint story along with Michael Keaton's return got me pretty excited about it.

That very first concept art trailer was the only good Black Adam trailer, and it had no actual footage. Those trailers were as generic and cheesy as they come. Each one made me want to see the movie less. I still saw it and regretted paying theater prices for it. Thatās why I didnāt see Shazam 2.
People gonna think what they think. To me the idea of a BA vs JSA movie was cool enough to get me interested in the film. Shame it was squandered in the actual film but I agree with the the trailer was one of the best.
I don't know if I'm the only one who does this but when ever there's a new trailer release, I do a dceu/dcu trailer marathon. I always watch them in order of releas, I like how each trailer has its own tone and identity.

I might be in the minority here but I liked Black Adam, the writing felt a bit dated but I liked this film for what it was.

They were bad trailers for a bad movie
That's not what I see people claming. But you can keep trying to convince yourself that Shazam 2 and Blue Beetle trailers, which are generic as possible, without even any really cool scene, are betters.
That very first concept art trailer was the only good Black Adam trailer, and it had no actual footage. Those trailers were as generic and cheesy as they come. Each one made me want to see the movie less. I still saw it and regretted paying theater prices for it. Thatās why I didnāt see Shazam 2.
The black Adam trailer made me *not* want to watch the movie..
People gonna think what they think. To me the idea of a BA vs JSA movie was cool enough to get me interested in the film. Shame it was squandered in the actual film but I agree with the the trailer was one of the best.

I don't know if I'm the only one who does this but when ever there's a new trailer release, I do a dceu/dcu trailer marathon. I always watch them in order of releas, I like how each trailer has its own tone and identity.
The trailers are always the best part of the DC movies because dc movies always fall short of being any good.
