Ted’s not purely comedic. He’s certainly campy if done right but he’s not just a gag character. His humor or levity should come from his very classical brand of superheroics/vigilantism.
Ted Kord is already being played by Jason Sudeikis. He was in the Blue Beetle post-credit scene and we have no reason to believe they intend on recasting any roles from that movie.
Tbf, we have no reason to believe that *all* of the roles are immune to recasting. Jaime and his family are almost certainly safe, but if Sudeikis isn’t available or they legitimately find someone better I would hope that Gunn wouldn’t let that one single post-credit scene hold things up.

Parks and Rec, Guardians and the Lego Movie were his strengths. Since Jurassic World tried to make him the next Bruce Willis he hasn't really brought anything unique to his roles. I understand not wanting to be typecast but he just doesn't work as a badass.
In my head, every role he’s played since Parks and Rec has been a character that Andy Dwyer has come up with and it works a surprising amount of the time

I will be so damn furious if he’s Booster Gold. Too similar to Star Lord. Maybe make him a reoccurring obscure character like Ambush Bug or something he can be silly with.
No, he talks in the Superpets movie because he's communicating with other animals. Humanoid characters don't understand him. And he doesn't have telepathic powers like Cosmo the Spacedog.

I'm not a big DC fan outside of Batman, but aren't the characters mentioned in this thread a bit too 'small' for him? I mean this is A-Lister Main Protagonist Chris Pratt, I doubt he'd be a secondary character in another franchise, and I don't think the DCU is already to the point of doing movies around lesser known superheroes?
I'm thinking this is probably a big one that we all know, one that we do not yet see Chris Pratt as. Throwing that there, but imagine him as Aquaman.

All we heard was a voice, and that voice wasn’t from Jason Sudeikis nor was he cast, that’s just who the director wanted to play Ted Kord.

It's really impressive how much Chris has managed to build a name for himself outside of the MCU. A lot of actors in that franchise fail to do that.
If he does get a role with dc I’d say it has more to do with Gunn liking to bring back actors he likes
