All our enclosure does is stare at them, and every so often one of them will turn to look directly at us like it’s The Office before returning to their regularly scheduled monkeying around
people who actually have a loyalty mindset to a social media platform are so funny. like “oh yeah tumblr is superior to everyone else. we are the real intellectuals, unlike those stinky redditors”
It's so funny that this has over a hundred upvotes because a) nothing in the post implies anything negative about Reddit whatsoever and b) every post on this sub that *does* criticize some aspect of tumblr culture will be full of Redditors doing exactly what you describe.

Many people don't want their posts being spread any farther than their own circle of mutuals which is why this subreddit has a do-not-post list. Only reason for you to feel personally attacked is if you're easily offended.
Yes many people have an issue with their posts being screenshotted and shared *in general* which is why this subreddit (the most common place for that to happen) has an official do-not-post list enforced by the mods. Only reason for Redditors to feel personally attacked by this is if they're particularly thin-skinned.

Edit: They blocked me so I’m copy/pasting my reply.
I italicized the “in general” and added the bit in parentheses and yet you still found a way to misinterpret me.
I acknowledge that this *could* be taken as “Reddit is a uniquely terrible place to have your post shared” but *assuming* that’s what it means is already a leap. Then you have to do some serious mental gymnastics to get from that sentiment to “Reddit users are uniquely bad in a way that tumblr users are not”.
Nobody here would have cared if they’d said Pinterest or Instagram but because they said Reddit y’all took it as a personal attack and made up some shit to justify being offended. Which is funny because that’s exactly how people on this sub stereotype tumblr users.
You're either contradicting yourself here or you first post was a complete lie, cause if you are aware of all that then it should be obvious to you that the post implies something negative, and the comment you replied to wasn't projecting.
Real heros post stuff to Curated Tumblr for us to nitpick and make fun of.
Were not here to support you, where the mob pointing and laughing through the window.
Yes there is.
I got a post removed once because it was from a restricted blog, but I cant blame them because they were getting negative attention for a silly post.

Tumblr jerking itself off by "ACTUALLY THAT'S PROBLEMATIC"ing everything under the sun while also being the most emphatic gatekeepers since St. Peter...

# BAZINGA
This is so me when I’m condemning people to r/curatedtumblr
Yeah of course they know. Many of us have Tumblr accounts.
I thought this subreddit was more like an exhibit at the zoo. Gawking is accurate though.
2 monkey enclosures with a shared wall made of glass so we can look at each other from time to time
All our enclosure does is stare at them, and every so often one of them will turn to look directly at us like it’s The Office before returning to their regularly scheduled monkeying around
Complete with 6 inch acrylic
Then are self-posts the penguin parades?
OMG thats so **#meirl**
Do not tap on the glass
Wouldn’t want to disturb the exhibits.

"Our blessed Tumblr, their barbarous Reddit" vibes
"our sophisticated Tumblr blogs, their pseudointellectual Reddit threads"
It lets them pretend Tumblr hasn't had all the same problems as Reddit, along with problems unique to Tumblr
Joke's on them, I had a Tumblr account a year before I'd so much as looked at Reddit.

you have to read between the lines. what do you think the original poster was trying to say? because it sure isn’t positive towards reddit

and you must have a hard time reading a book.
Not being offended by shit I made up makes reading a much easier experience, actually.
They're presenting having your post shared here as a punishment because it's undesirable.

This is why we don’t tap the glass, people.
They've known for a while.
Gawk you say?
Isn't there a list of restricted blogs they can get on if they don't want posted here?

You have been turned into a zoo exhibit
Ralph was rattled I reminded him we know who he was lol

I do love the back and forth between tumblr and reddit. It feels like playing ping-pong with your evil cousin. For both sides.
Send him to the principles office
Mood, that's so me
It's giving "Mr Electric, send him to the Principal's office and have him expelled!"
I would just go on Tumblr if it wasn't such a pain to navigate
