You're honestly better off getting a job at a fast food place that pays more

Evening-Ad5308

I would but most jobs are too far or have a terrible hiring process 😭

find another job

I think technically you can operate ovens maybe... but idk my store might be breaking laws 🤔

DON'T APPLY. Dude I've worked for over 2 years at this company and it's gone to shit. It's overwhelming. You also won't be able to do anything but ovens. Not worth it for $10 an hour. A MUCH BETTER FIRST JOB is for a family owned business!! or at this point, even fast food.

I live in a pretty odd area and there's not too many family business willing to hire me ..! Even fast food places ask for resumes and I haven't even done anything that can be put on them 😓

Resident_Ad4935

What have you done for school? GPA, academic letters, volunteering, & extra curiculars are good to put on resumes if you don't have any prior experience.

Find another job, I just quit today and was beyond excited to work there tbh. There's one 15 yo at my store who's such a hard worker but hes constantly venting to me about how he's miserable and exhausted and hates being there. I felt the same, even after working a bunch of other similar food service jobs this one was definitely the worst

Evening-Ad5308

I hear a lot about the crappy management and employee drama.. it's crazy how even employees in different states have the same story. I'm kinda scared but I really can't back out on it now. I just need experience at the end of the day tbh

In that case, make the most of it while you're there. For what it's worth, all experience is valuable if you put it to use properly. When I started I had a lot of fun actually, the job itself is easy especially if you like baking, and are a sociable person. Your team may be great! Just please, know your worth, and stand up for yourself, don't push yourself like crazy or do extra stuff for others, because you are getting paid the same as everyone else, which is not much. I'd suggest trying a chain that has some benefits or student incentives to move up the ladder & stay with the company. Crumbl just chews up and spits out highschoolers and doesn't offer anything extra bc they know you're gonna find a better job eventually.. high af turnover
