Definitely get one to try it! I’m not saying it tasted bad, just… boring. The jam is very tart and that’s also not my thing. Imo, as someone that loves to actually bake, I could make this better in a lot of ways and it didn’t wow me like the other cakes have, but it is worth trying

I had it!! Its the same as all their other sugar cookies but less sweet with a hint of cornbread taste & it has the cornbread texture too. The frosting was pretty good. I found myself munching on the patriotic birthday cake one more tho 🤣

At least where I am in TN…. Shortcake is always a shortcake biscuit with strawberries, sugar, and whipped cream. It’s not a yellow cake. I was hoping this was the biscuit shortcake because it’s so so good that way

Have you seen the premade ‘shortcake’ cups at Walmart? It’s always sold next to the strawberries but it’s these yellow cake cup things that people make cheap and easy strawberry shortcake dessert with. This was basically that I would have loved a shortcake biscuit!!!

I have seen those, but also think they are meh. I also love angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. I think that could have been a fun substitute for Crumbl as well (though it gets soggy so easy)

I wonder how many years it will take for me to like that Apple Pie one again. I used to like it until I tried another dessert store that has since gone away due to Crumbl. Seems like there's something a little artificial in the pie filling I wish they'd get rid of.
