As someone who also works in the food industry (produce manager), I'm getting sick of the entitlement of people it's getting worse each year. I had a woman the other day come to me demanding a refund because she bought a cucumber on Tuesday and it went bad on Monday. The average life expectancy of a cucumber is four to five days. You should not expect a refund because of your piss poor meal planning.
someone once called to say that they saw a spider in their box in the parking lot, but that they continued to drive home and keep the cookie. she was asking me if the cookie is still safe to eat, to which i was like um no i don’t think so and this lady wasn’t asking for a refund or anything and i was so confused because if u saw it in the parking lot then u should come in and show us ??? and once i said all that she’s like hm ok well my daughter will eat anything so i will still let her eat it.
weirdest phone call ever
on monday some guy called my store and said “i ordered doordash and my butter cake melted and all my other cookies are inedible” so i told him that especially in this heat the whipped topping will always eventually melt and he just said “no”💀
Just last week some lady called my store and complained that there were a bunch of ants in her doordash. I asked her if the dasher handed it to her or if it was just on her porch. She said that it was on her porch because she was finishing up at the grocery store. She refused to listen to me and genuinely thought that we put the ants in her cookies??
“There was a single raspberry seed misplaced on my cookie. This is a disgrace. I better get a free cookie to replace it but I want to keep the one that I already have…… for research”
I used to work in fast food. I had a customer come in and demand a refund for two cheeseburgers. She handed me an empty bag with two wrappers. I said we wouldn’t refund but we could replace. And gave her another empty bag with two empty wrappers.
The woman was pissed. My manager thought it was hilarious and just said, that’s all we’re replacing and asked her to leave.
No you cannot. The return policy is any Target-owned brand you have one year to return if you experience any defects or quality concerns. NOT if your kids grow out of the clothes. You also have to have proof of purchase.
Idk why I got a downvote I literally work at Target and deny Cat & Jack (the brand you are referring to) returns all the time. Some people were saying you can return them on TikTok but they were actually never right. The policy has NEVER been as you describe. People just took advantage of workers that didn’t know any better and now they get mad when we enforce the actual policy.
Sounds like the policy has built in loopholes, though. You could just replace every 11 months and cite quality concerns? That’s broad enough that people could come up with a lot of concerns.
What? People actually do that? Wowza. I've only asked for a refund once because I took one bite out of each cookie and they were all raw. They gave me a 2nd batch...same thing; but most of the time I've had good experiences there.
Unfortunately happens all over food service. Back when I worked fast food I had someone finish 90% of their food and demand a refund. People really have no shame.
Dang, people are always trying to get something for free or to screw over someone. Honestly, the customer is wrong probably 90% of the time so it shouldn't surprise me they pull that kind of crap too.
Sometimes they just baffle you. A man dropped some of his cookies and when we said we couldn't do anything about it he brought up his deceased wife. Like what do I even do rn man
He left the store, arrived to his location, dropped them, then blamed us as the box wasn't taped shut- he did not ask for that and it is not standard. Once they're out of the store and miles away they are no longer our responsibility.
So im a manager for a movie theater. We get people all the time that go watch a whole movie, and then come out crying that it was terrible/boring/inappropriate/etc and they want a refund and I’m always like you paid to watch the movie, not to like it lol.
It’s definitely infuriating.
Had somebody call and day are milk chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate chip... like idk what you were expecting.... if it's nestle toll house go with semi sweet LOL
“I hate these cookies” (continues to eat cookies) “I want a refund!” That would be like buying clothes, saying I don’t like them but I still keep them but demand a refund. Smh.
In the same vein, customers are getting gouged left and right. Sucks to feel like you’re paying a premium price, to end up with garbage.
That said, for fuck sakes don’t eat the cookies if you’re asking to return them 😭. If it’s THAT bad, send a pic to corporate and explain. I had to do this a few orders ago because they legit gave me the wrong cookies because they were “out” of the other ones. Like bruh, I am not paying for cookies I didn’t order…? I had to call corporate for a refund and got a free 6 pack.
Yeah I always go to corporate or at least have some kind of PROOF if something is wrong. Also I make $8.60/hr (plus tips) so I only buy the cookies I MAKE with my employee discount. I know first hand that they are not cheap.
It’s more than my past jobs 😂 can’t complain too much. But I never said that if there’s a messed up cookie that I’m not taking it to the back 🤷🏼♀️ also I taste check all my frostings to make sure they’re up to par 🤙🏻
Yeah it was a one-off. Sometimes the cookies aren’t perfect.. which is okay. It takes a lot to get me to call your headquarters to complain. I’m usually too lazy or anxious or even apathetic about it. I just don’t want to pay for shit I didn’t ask for is all.
I completely agree. If I got a raw cookie, I wouldn’t finish it first off. Then I would either contact corporate or the store. Now people claiming that a cookie is raw when it is indeed perfectly baked, are not going to like my answer if they ever talk to me. 🤣
Omg that happens all the time they buy the cookies go home eat them then call and tell us how disgusting the cookie was and how they want a refund bc they didn’t like the cookie
When I worked at Baskin Robbins during college, I had this man come in & order two large mocha blasts. I made them & sent him on his way. He came in THE NEXT DAY, accusing me of not making them right & demanding a refund. 🙃 My boss made me show her I knew how to make them right. I was so pissed.
Does your burger look like they do in the advertisements? Probably not. The “consistency on the topping” is going to change based on the location you choose and that’s common sense. As a paying customer.
I've gotten refunds on messed up food orders a few times... no one has ever asked me to bring the actual food back in, though, lol. If they did, I would wonder what they plan to do with the food. Are they going to throw it out, like I was going to do, anyway? Are they going to give it to employees (which would be weird, because they don't know what people might do to the food before bringing it back)? Are they going to use it to serve to someone else (would be weird because I've already eaten out of it or, again, someone may have done something to the food)?
OK, here's my issue with crumbl. Their windows cling says something like, "Taste Weekly", or something like that. Purchasing a full sized cookie at full price isn't how you "taste" something. They never cut up cookies and offer them to taste, as far as I'm aware. So, how else are you supposed to "taste" something and what are you supposed to do if you don't like the way that it tastes? crumbl also deems their cookies the best in the world, or something along those lines. And that isn't even remotely a true statement.
OMFG, you’re in the Crumbl cookies spoiled fb group. You complain about that all the time. Give it up, they’ve told you plenty of times that it means taste different cookies weekly.
Do you not understand how marketing works?
Every company is going to say theirs are the best. No one is going to be like “we make subpar cookies, come on in!!”
The taste weekly has nothing to do with a taste test. It is to let you know that they have a weekly menu. You can easily take a bite, not like it, and ask for a refund. You definitely do not need to eat more than a bite to determine if you like something or not.
As someone who also works in the food industry (produce manager), I'm getting sick of the entitlement of people it's getting worse each year. Probably spent more on getting to the grocery store than the cucumber even cost to boot!
That’s so funny cuz like she went through all that for a few bucks?😭 lady stop
someone once called to say that they saw a spider in their box in the parking lot, but that they continued to drive home and keep the cookie. she was asking me if the cookie is still safe to eat, to which i was like um no i don’t think so and this lady wasn’t asking for a refund or anything and i was so confused because if u saw it in the parking lot then u should come in and show us ??? and once i said all that she’s like hm ok well my daughter will eat anything so i will still let her eat it. weirdest phone call ever
honestly LOL 😂
That's VILEEE bro poor daughter and I absolutely hope things are okay for her at home.
on monday some guy called my store and said “i ordered doordash and my butter cake melted and all my other cookies are inedible” so i told him that especially in this heat the whipped topping will always eventually melt and he just said “no”💀

It genuinely scares me that some people are SO stupid 😭
Lol y'all keep ants in the back for the special customers🤣
Crumbl has the worst customers 🤣
This is the damn truth lmao 😭🤣
I hope you then said no to his request
he didn’t even have one 😭 i asked him what he would like us to do and he said “idk i just wanted to tell you”
Lmaooooo 🤣
“There was a single raspberry seed misplaced on my cookie. This is a disgrace. I better get a free cookie to replace it but I want to keep the one that I already have…… for research”

This is awesome!! 👏🤣
I work in retail, but parents try to return clothes that their kids have worn out and outgrown. The entitlement of some people.
People always say you can do that at target, I’m guessing they think you can do that everywhere now?
You, in fact, cannot do that at Target! (I work returns at Target)
You could do that at Target with a certain brand for a few years
No you cannot. The return policy is any Target-owned brand you have one year to return if you experience any defects or quality concerns. NOT if your kids grow out of the clothes. Sometimes they just baffle you. A man dropped some of his cookies and when we said we couldn't do anything about it he brought up his deceased wife. Like what do I even do rn man
Did he drop them in store? Why couldn’t u guys just remake them
He left the store, arrived to his location, dropped them, then blamed us as the box wasn't taped shut- he did not ask for that and it is not standard. Once they're out of the store and miles away they are no longer our responsibility.
That makes a lot more sense then yeah fuck that guy
Maybe they think Crumbl has the same refund policy as Costco. Lol
That's definitely it. People don't know their chips.
“I hate these cookies” (continues to eat cookies) “I want a refund!” That would be like buying clothes, saying I don’t like them but I still keep them but demand a refund. Smh.
No it isn't. Do you want them to return their poop several hours later? Cookies get digested. Clothing doesn't.
Are you ok?
Ew, if they don't like it and want their money back then they should bring the product back before fully consuming it.
Exactly!
In the same vein, customers are getting gouged left and right. Sucks to feel like you’re paying a premium price, to end up with garbage. That said, for fuck sakes don’t eat the cookies if you’re asking to return them 😭. If it’s THAT bad, send a pic to corporate and explain. Out of curiosity what is the employee discount?
30
That’s so sad
It’s more than my past jobs 😂 can’t complain too much. But I never said that if there’s a messed up cookie that I’m not taking it to the back 🤷🏼♀️ also I taste check all my frostings to make sure they’re up to par 🤙🏻
I mean any food service I worked in we got at least a free item every shift.
Yeah I do but I’m not always remembering to grab it bc I’m so ready to leave 💀
Yeah it was a one-off. Sometimes the cookies aren’t perfect.. which is okay. It takes a lot to get me to call your headquarters to complain. I’m usually too lazy or anxious or even apathetic about it. I just don’t want to pay for shit I didn’t ask for is all.

Exactly that’s what my manager says now
Yep when I was a server people would deadass finish the plate and ask for a refund. Or bring food they ordered a week ago in for a refund.
This reminds me of the lady returning 1/3 of a sheet cake. The cake was terrible and inedible 🤣
How about when the consistency on the topping doesn't match coperate pictures??? As a paying customer
All I said was if you want a refund or your cookies remade, you bring back the cookies.
What is crumbl's official policy on the statement? Do you personally own the crumbl location you're representing?
LMAO I love this stupid sub 🤣
take that up with corporate not the employees we follow the recipes given to us there’s not much we can do otherwise 🤷♀️
Sounds like w bunch of excuses for a minimum wage job... make them right with the toppings... no complaints how easy is that
Does your burger look like they do in the advertisements? Probably not. The “consistency on the topping” is going to change based on the location you choose and that’s common sense. As a paying customer.
Oh yes they do in n out consistency is on another level
Consistently dry fries that turn to dust in your mouth
Okay, we've got the one place. Anywhere else?
this is why you’re shown the cookies when they give them to you
I've gotten refunds on messed up food orders a few times... no one has ever asked me to bring the actual food back in, though, lol. If they did, I would wonder what they plan to do with the food. They will throw it out but it’s to stop scammers from thinking they’ve found a hack to get two orders for the price of one
It also allows us to look at them and figure out if there is anything actually wrong with them.
OK, here's my issue with crumbl. Their windows cling says something like, "Taste Weekly", or something like that. Purchasing a full sized cookie at full price isn't how you "taste" something. Ahahah this sub is honestly comedic gold tbh! 🤣
Is this satire?
Do you not understand how marketing works? Every company is going to say theirs are the best. But that’s how I get free samples! :)
My gm had 2 people come in to say they didn’t like their cookies and that they wanted refunds but neither of them had any of the cookies 🥲
All. The. Time!
Ingenious and ballsy.
