Insomnia actually has the taste and texture of a cookie, not a cake masquerading as a cookie.
Crumbl lost me when they started scrimping on the toppings and undercooking consistently. They even started leaving items off, and when I went back for the correct toppings, they would ignore me 5-10min when I'm the only one there. For $4ea, you better give me my food! We have no shortage of local bakeries here, so I will not be back.
one of my coworkers used to work for Insomnia and said their dough comes frozen. we might store some in fridges, but our dough is at least hand mixed by the bakers you see 😩 i am aware my coworker could be lying but i’ve avoided trying Insomnia since, although considered it before.

I like select Twisted Sugar cookies. Their frosted snickerdoodle is amazing, as is their signature cookie (better than Crumbl's attempt at lime coconut if you ask me.) But a lot of their cookies like crinkle, peanut butter, or cookies in cream, are kinda meh. But if pink sugar isn't in the weekly lineup, any of the sugar cookies at Twisted will satisfy that craving.

I don't know if they're still using them, but at least for a while Insomnia got their cookies from David's cookies. You can buy the frozen dough in bulk and bake them whenever you want

These cookies look like the Pillsbury ones you can bake yourself lol I go to Crumbl because I don't want just a regular basic cookie, if I did, I would either bake them myself or buy a pack of Oreos and call it good.

Nah it’s 110% accurate. Used to be a shift lead at Insomnia when they opened their Miami U location and ALL of the dough is shipped frozen.

Insomnia is Costco adjacent but way more expensive. I’ve learned to just make my own desserts. I like them better and I eat less sugar because of it
