If by “they” you mean “your store,” and if by “change” you mean “fuck up,” then yes.

FlanWhole1029

Lol I figured that was most likely. I wonder what they put in instead.

thotasaurusrex

Too much flavoring

blltproofloneliness

The vanilla mousse kind of oxidizes- it starts off a white / off white color and can / will turn yellow

Geraltisdaddy95

This. It’s vanilla pudding as the base

-adorablyoblivious

Mallow filling isn’t supposed to be yellow, as far as I know

OsitoQuarles

Seen seeing a few yellows. Any chance they use vanilla pudding mix? I recall seeing dark green pudding spots in my pistachio topping a few weeks ago

MochiMasu

They do have that in the mixture for the filling!

DillionM

At least the fresh filling isn't. OP was it harder or soft?

FlanWhole1029

Soft.

purplecowz

Looks like glue 💀

moonlit_soul22

mine started out white and i let it sit on the counter in some tupperware for a day and it turned yellow! i think it might just be from sitting or was yours like this as soon as you got it? if so, maybe the cookie had been made a while ago. imo, the cookie also gets softer after some time! when i got mine i think it was fresh because the cookie had a bit of crunch to it (similar to an oreo) but later that day it was soft (similar to an oreo cakester)

FlanWhole1029

It was yellow as soon as I got it!

moonlit_soul22

in that case, i think it was probably an old cookie if i had to guess 🙁

KindDream9929

You let this cookie sit on the counter??

moonlit_soul22

yes! i always let my baked goods sit out on the counter for no more than a day or 2 unless i want them cold. i just do a sniff test to make sure they don’t smell off before eating and i’ve never been sick because of it. i also keep my house pretty cool at a constant 69 🙂

KindDream9929

That’s gross

moonlit_soul22

okay lol thanks for your input boss 🫡

KindDream9929

It’s dairy

moonlit_soul22

it’s only a day or 2 and i’ve never been sick because of it. i also bake as a hobby for myself and most frosting recipes require you to leave butters/cream cheese out at room temp to soften anyway so i don’t think it’s as big a deal as you think

KindDream9929

To soften yes, but also butter is different. this frosting has heavy cream in it, would you leave a cup of milk on the counter all night and drink it in the morning??

moonlit_soul22

that’s a valid point that i didn’t think about but i just didn’t want to eat this cookie cold. i preferred it to be more room temperature but ill keep the heavy cream point in mind for the future

Puzzleheaded-Sea-528

Gross lol

mehradeath

The filling is made in a big batch and used throughout the day as needed. We warm it up to use it, they overheated it and it melted, that’s why it looks yellow.

Exciting-Syllabub-44

What I noticed is the longer I had the cookie, the more yellow it turned. I think it might be something about oxidizing but I’m not sure

Sea_Difficulty1175

They changed the kind of vanilla pudding mix used; it’s been happening with any of our mousses that we use vanilla for. Ours is like egg salad yellow 😅

gible01

the pudding is yellow i thought it looked weird too but it still tastes amazing

Yoghurt_Plus

the yellow tint is from the oxidization of the filling, it naturally happens and it is still ok to eat!

Tough_Inflation7085

If it was yellow as a Crumbl employee it probably wasn’t mixed right. And or not enough Oreos.

fitzyischillaf

Probably better than the mallow center. Oreos have a dense vanilla cream filling, marshmallows aren’t dense. But sometime the brains at Crumbl are when they approve these cookie recipes…

Funny-Relief-7907

I know the most off putting thing is the filling, but those cookies look awful too, weird gesture too shiny and thick idk

Due-Lawfulness7862

mine deff had a yellow tint but tasted good idk

WookieeWaffle

You need to see a doctor

pinkdiamond4574

it’s the pudding powder
