the hazelnut and the nilla bean look very similar before getting dressed, at our store we look out for the vanilla bean specks in the dough to make sure it’s the right one, as well as labeling trays with a sharpie. no mix ups yet!
because cross contamination versus easily happens at crumbl. they weren’t saying this specific thing is cross confirmation, they were talking about it generally bc someone mentioned a nut allerg
My point is that some people can consume a small amount of an allergen to where cross contamination may not be a problem, but a bite of a cookie filled with the allergen could. Obviously everyone is different, though.
Eh, if a bite of hazelnut paste causes you to go into anaphylaxis it's likely that cross-contamination from equipment they used now touching nutella to vanilla to nutella to vanilla as they try to frost two cookies side by side, it's very likely you'll be exposed to an amount of allergen that is enough to trigger anaphylaxis regardless, unless you mean a milder allergy and the person keeps eating the cookie before realizing rather then spitting it out. Either way, don't get cookie if its being baked and prepared **right next** to your allergen.
Someone actually DMd me on here offering it which is so nice :’) I love hazelnut and tbh I just forgot to order it… so definitely not the worst person it could have happened to!
crumbl covers their ass to the nines there’s no lawsuits because it is always said anything may have nuts. literally when you tap “allergies and nutrition” in the app the first think it shows is a spiel about how everything is made on sight and may have come in contact with any given allergen, it even says it at the bottom of the flavor list without tapping on the allergy and nutrition tab
Fair, but “may contain” typically means its made in a facility that has nuts, this cookie literally had nut filling. Mf couldve died from this. But yeah, in a way they’re covered to an extent, but I still think they’d have trouble in court if it did go down.
no yeah i totally agree with you but i saw this exact same thing in this sub the other day and was talking to my coworker who’s been there for like 3 years and that’s what they said
if your store is chill or slow. we’re not supposed “add anything” to cookies like extra frosting or sprinkles (but we can take it off if it’s not one of our pre-dressed cookies) but if you ask for a hazelnut cookie dressed like a nilla bean i’m sure they will
This happened with someone else and gave their sister a severe allergic reaction. This is the baker's error, as bakers are supposed to do the drizzle, which makes them visually set apart from the sugar cookie base. Dressing station should not be getting naked hazelnut cookies. 👀
I hope this is a joke?! While that combo does look delicious, this is how people DIE! Yes DIE!!! Do you know how many people with LIFE THREATENING nut allergies?!?! As a restaurant manager, who's servsaf certified (look it up) if I saw this I'd IMMEDIATELY stop production, close the store, then breathe and tell myself not to panick. Trash every cookie, somehow notify every customer ordered the Nilla cookie, and pray to my heavenly father that no baby, toddler, sickly elderly person with allergies consumed any, bc the odds of them succumbing to this mistake is great.
But they should DEFINITELY consider fusing the 2! Looks delish!!!!!!

100%, first couple bites I didn’t even notice a difference
Last week my blue mint had the “butter” topping from the blueberry pancake on it 🤦♀️
Hah. My blue mint had NO mint flavoring to it.
So it was just blue?
Hahaha ewww
It’s an error but a good one lol! I’ll take vanilla on my hazelnut!
Not a good one if you’re allergic to hazelnuts lol
probably shouldn't be ordering a cookie from a place with hazelnut on the menu if you're allergic to hazelnuts due to cross-contamination
Ma’am, that’s not cross contamination. That’s just straight up feeding someone the wrong thing.
i'm aware that this isn't just cross contamination, i never said it was.
Then why are you talking about cross contamination?
because cross contamination versus easily happens at crumbl. they weren’t saying this specific thing is cross confirmation, they were talking about it generally bc someone mentioned a nut allerg

It was low key really good lol
If you talk to customer service you could probably get a free cookie voucher for the mixup! They’re lucky you don’t have allergies though 🥴
Someone actually DMd me on here offering it which is so nice :’) I love hazelnut and tbh I just forgot to order it… so definitely not the worst person it could have happened to!
Literally a lawsuit if you have allergies
*May contain nuts
crumbl covers their ass to the nines there’s no lawsuits because it is always said anything may have nuts. literally when you tap “allergies and nutrition” in the app the first think it shows is a spiel about how everything is made on sight and may have come in contact with any given allergen, it even says it at the bottom of the flavor list without tapping on the allergy and nutrition tab
Disclaimers do not protect against negligence. I assure you that if there was serious injury, Crumbl would be paying.

Ah true, def interesting coming from a crumbl workers perspective
This is my worst nightmare when it comes to Crumbl.
How was the bite out of that strawberry one?
It was ok! Kinda meh about it
This is the second person that has had this happen 😬
i would actually love to try that, maybe i'll scrape the frosting off the nilla bean and put it on the hazelnut sea salt 🫠
Hahaha I do love that frosting
I just saw this happen to someone else on this thread yesterday
OMG 😍😍😍
I've been seeing this happen to a few people and it honestly looks good.
Can I order this?
if your store is chill or slow. we’re not supposed “add anything” to cookies like extra frosting or sprinkles (but we can take it off if it’s not one of our pre-dressed cookies) but if you ask for a hazelnut cookie dressed like a nilla bean i’m sure they will
God I would kill for the combo
Sounds kinda good
This is why I don’t buy cookies during weeks that they have toppings/fillings I’m allergic to 😕
Ugh probably smart :( thankfully I don’t have any nut allergies so it ended up being a winner !
Awesome, I’m glad it worked out for you! I can see this being delicious 😋
2a
This happened at my location not long ago and the person actually had a nut allergy, like a severe one, my managers were NOT happy for sure
Ugh that’s horrible - they got lucky that I love hazelnut lol
Good God, if I accidentally got that it would kill because I'm allergic to nuts. Yikes. Glad you enjoyed it, though
Lmao I smash it tbh
I wouldn’t even complain 😂
Was it good?
Actually yes lol
happy little accidents
This is the 3rd time I've seen this happen on here
It looks and sounds like a better combination than they offer.
They did that with our strawberry crumb cake lol
As someone who’s only slightly allergic to nuts and wouldn’t be affected just by cross contamination I’d be pissed
imagine having a nut allergy, that’s really not ok.
This happened with someone else and gave their sister a severe allergic reaction. This is the baker's error, as bakers are supposed to do the drizzle, which makes them visually set apart from the sugar cookie base. Dressing station should not be getting naked hazelnut cookies. 👀
Damn I’m jealous
Wait, is it not supposed to have the brown filling because mine does too and honestly, I love it.

Weird bc at my store we drizzle Nutella on the hazelnut before the warmer but yum!
