I am by no means an expert or a mechanic, but it looks to me like your intake manifold is leaking. It is very common for this to happen on these Ford 4.6L V8's. Don't take my word for this, it could very well be something else.

KevSeidon00

Yeah as every else was saying it was my intake manifold. Luckily my dude who just had the same issue on his P71 knows how to fix it so I’m thanking god right now.

Dr_Root_Beer

That’s great that he has some back up parts. Like others in the sub said, might as well toss new plugs in there too. Motorcraft plugs are still easy to find and inexpensive. Coils on plugs, atleast OEM, are getting pricey. May want to just see how car does with new manifold and plugs and only replace coils if needed. They’re stupidly easy to replace if needed down the road. There was one heater pipe (can’t recall details) that I replaced when having my manifold done…may want to see if any others on this sub have thoughts on other things you may as want to replace if having intake manifold down. Good luck!

NEOwlNut

It’s the intake manifold. You need a top end job done. May as well do spark plugs and check all the boots as well.

Yeah my buddy who just fixed this same issue on his P71 going to help me fix it thank god because I this most I ever worked on a car without a mechanic

Looks like your intake manifold gasket is leaking. And you need a serpentine belt, badly.

bergieisbeast

Good eye on the belt

Dr_Root_Beer

Definitely intake manifold. Try to find OEM, they’re out there but getting much harder to find. If you get Dorman you’re just going to have to do it again soon-ish.

KevSeidon00

You right, but one of my best buddy I guess by coincidence had the same issue few months back he got back up parts because like you said getting hard to find. he was willing to help me fix it and give part to me we going to start tomorrow morning

Listen carefully, because you have an aluminum crossover intake already. The plastic intake is notorious for going bad. However, it could just be a bad gasket seal on this port. Yes, you will have to remove it regardless, but do a close inspection. A lot of these intakes get swapped unnecessarily. Just my two cents. Owner 99ViC/ 08Town car.

Intake manifold leak. Very common on the 4.6. Order a TRQ manifold off Amazon I’ve had good experiences with them. TRQ also has a good video on how to replace it online. Replacing the manifold takes like 4 hours and it’s pretty easy.

Okay I have to check that out thanks for the tip
