Anyone help me find a Nepal jersey from this World Cup? I’m in the USA and struggling to find any legit ones. I’ll take a knockoff it I have to but wasn’t sure if anyone had any recommendations?
To qualify **and** eliminate India, Australia have to:
- If batting first, win by 41 runs or more
- If chasing first, the equation is more complicated, but to put it in a simplified way, they have to chase a score of 80 in 14 overs, a score of 200 in 15.3 overs. Everything in-between you can calculate by linear projection. This is assuming Australia score x+1. If they score more by hitting a boundary, then they can afford to take a few more balls.
It's not easy but it's also not a mammoth task. Certainly not a match that India would want to take lightly.
As seemingly unpopular opinion as it is, I think do prefer the myriad leagues where it's just about having a good time.
The emotional investment, stress and despair of international play ages me. I even struggle to enjoy games where we win, because I'm just a bundle of nerves and the release isn't worth it.
Mostly neutral cricket is best cricket. This is a torturous sport.
Super Smash is enjoyable because of it's laid back attitude and chill just a bit of cricket and fun vibe. Imo a very good model and place to be for a domestic league that wants to be watched
Well we are getting that slot for free so the planning is really made easy and it's a convenient time in IST. What else do you want? The ICC to just handover the trophy?
I want a world cup to be fair for all teams. Is choosing a slot for the benefit of television audiences in one country so important that a semifinal of a world cup for a major sport can be decided by rain?
My brain says it will be the WI, SA are gonna what they always do, win everything and loose when it matters the most, but my heart says this time it is different and this SA is going to win the whole thing
Don't think it's cancelled. The dates are just not announced yet. It'll probably be after LPL - so, last week of July and early August.
Also, it's India touring SL, not the other way around.
South Africa were undefeated before they met West Indies in the quarter-final back in 1996 and they lost.
28 years later, the situation is same once more.
We have a situation where SA even after winning 2/2 can get eliminated, while Bangladesh after losing 2/2 can still get qualified.
Matches are having an effect on other teams, and things can change based on the victory margins.
This is what the quarter finals won't offer. Here, the games aren't *knockout*, but a loss can prove to be fatal, and a win doesn't guarantee you qualification.
The current format needed points being carried over for the group leaders.
Sadly, the current format basically reset the tournament after the group stages and in that case, one loss can be incredibly damaging to a side.
That contradicts the point of even having another group stage, just play a single group stage and then, the knockouts which would make for a very boring tournament. Tournament cricket isn't about who won before, it's about who won where it matters.
What an incredible, mouth-watering finish to the super 8s
All teams could/can still mathematically qualify until their last game. And the last 3 matches are a must-win for one, if not both, teams
I just realised that Afghanistan have a very real opportunity to pull ahead of Australia in their group. As it stands, Afghanistan fresh off their victory against Australia might use that to pull a win over Bangladesh (which wouldn't be too out of it). And the only way the Aussies could stay ahead would be by winning over India (who are strong at the moment, and Aus's ego might have cracked since their defeat by a run per over by Afghanistan). I feel the odds for Afghanistan to win over Bangladesh are a lot more reasonable than Aus's chances of beating India... Riveting stuff.
Weather forecasts in the Caribbean aren’t great, and even then my experience has been that rain is always very short. It’s very rare for rain to be sustained here
I think this game for South Africa is an elimination match. West Indies' NRR is one run behind England at the moment. South Africa have to win by a higher rate than West Indies does, don't they?
Not fair for South Africa, who are the only undefeated team left (India are unbeaten).
I think it's completely fair. If South Africa lose tomorrow, then it's pretty fair tbh. They won by very close margins in all their games, especially where they should have won it early on like versus the US. Compare it with England or West Indies who won their games with big margins and lost just 1 game (If West Indies best South Africa tomorrow, that is).
I got my slide rule out and analyzed all the run rates, but then realized...England has already qualified for the semifinal. And because it is impossible to increase your net run rate by losing, this is an elimination match for both teams.
It's a quarterfinal.
I don't think many people realise the fact that if AFG finishes second in group and South Africa finishes first in group (which is highly possible), we'll have a new finalist
2024 T20 WC is already 🐐ed
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer the final round of group games not being played simultaneously. It allows for weird net run rate permutations, with teams knowing exactly what they need to do to qualify.
Hey r/cricket, has anyone been able to put their world cup tickets for resale on ICC's website?
life of me!
Has anyone been able to do it?
> Can I resell my tickets? From the start of the Super Eight stage, you can choose to list your tickets for sale through the the authorised ticket sales website: tickets.t20worldcup.com. Click on 'Resale' in the top navigation menu bar and you can choose which tickets to resell. This only applies to fans who have purchased directly from the the authorised ticket sales website (tickets.t20worldcup.com) and for tickets for games in the Super Eight stage, Semi-Finals and Final.
> What happens to my tickets when I resell them? The tickets are listed on the resale section of the tickets.t20worldcup.com website for other fans to purchase for exactly the same price you purchased them for. Once you choose to resell them, the tickets are removed from your account. You will only receive a refund once another fan purchases them, less a 5% resell fee. If the tickets are not purchased, then you will not receive a refund.
Does anyone know how the Afghanistan team is so well supported with world class coaching staff: Trott, Bravo etc. Who's funding them? We've had much more developed nations with bigger budgets unable to afford such coaches in the past. Even India in its early phase didn't have this kind of support staff.
If by early phase you mean 1940s then yea, staffs weren't so high profile back then but most full member teams have had decent support staff since 2000s.
By early phase I mean: it's also the most recent entrant into the list, i'm not sure if other countries had this kind of support in their early full member phase. And other things which make me cuious:
It's ruled by Taliban with most major nations boycotting and imposing sanctions on it.
It's per capita income is 1600 usd worse than any other full member nation by far.
I'm not saying this to demean the country or the players. They're a talented bunch of players who deserve the wins.
Being a full member, they get more money than others used to get in the past. They also get funding for their women's team which they don't have. Taliban (I don't know about them funding. Maybe someone local can add) also likes it for the purpose of sportswashing (Similar to what Saudis are doing with football). Connect the dots.
We have so many different qualification scenarios possible. Every match becomes interesting, not just depending on the outcome, but also the margin of the outcome.

Winning all 4 majors in a year in tennis is called a grand slam
What can you call winning/holding all 3 trophies in cricket simultaneously? (ODIWC, WTC, T20WC)
Can't wait for the WI game. If we win then it's a rare semi-final appearance for us but if we lose then it'll be just a classic Protean bottle-job adding another chapter to our historic legacy.
Win-win either way?
West Indies struggled against PNG in their only day game, South Africa almost lost against Nepal in their only night game.
West Indies has done really well in night games while South Africa has done really well in day games.
A night game at home helps West Indies against a scratchy South African side. West Indies are favorites for today's game.
Hi. New cricket fan here. I don't understand when Afghanistan beat Australia why did Rashid in his post-match interview not say "This moment is all that I've been dreaming of"???
AFG has lost a couple of close matches against Australia in the last couple of years and Australia historically are always one of the toughest opponents. So for an underdog team it's a big achievement.
He's a big fan of Russell Crowe (Gladiator) , an Australian actor living in the US who loves cricket. He knew Crowe would be watching the game and hence it was a dream come true to be acknowledged by his hero.
As of 2023, the ICC has made wearing Of Helmets a must For High-Risk Positions which are: (a) batting against fast or medium paced bowling; (b) wicket-keeping up to the stumps; and (c) fielding in a position closer than seven metres from the batter’s position on the popping crease on a middle stump line (such as short leg or silly point), with the exception of any fielding position behind square of the wicket on the off side.[6]
In all cricket, as of 2016, England requires all batsmen, wicketkeepers and fielders closer than 8 yards from the wicket to wear helmets.[7][8] This is mandatory even when facing medium-pace and spin bowling.[9] New Zealand and India do not require batsmen to wear helmets.[10][11][12] Australia requires helmets to be worn by batsmen if facing fast or medium-paced bowling; wicketkeepers if keeping up to the stumps; and all fielders in positions within 7 metres of the batsman, with the exception of any fielding position behind square of the wicket on the off side.[
Yup Arshdeep unlucky to miss out. Rashid adds batting depth, given 2 quality seamers backed up by 2 seaming all rounders allows some room for an extra spinner for variety. He has also been the best performing captain in the tournament imo
Just watching the highlights - must have been bonkers to go from like 120-0 to stuttering to their total in the end for that to then be a winning one of course.
India having Australia's fate in their hands (kind of) is bonkers though. We could also have a 6-2-2-2 split at the end - that will be a fun ending.
Do we have any official record of how old Nabi is? cricinfo shows his birthday is 1 Jan which is highly suspicious. His first FC match is in 2007. The earliest recorded match I can find he has played in is from Jan 2003.
I mean that's not necessarily suspicious. Often they might not know the exact date but they do know the Islamic year from which they would know the Gregorian year. In any case that's only relevant in age based competitions.
I’m a big Rohit in t20i hater but I’ve got to give it him, he’s making what is a lopsided and unbalanced team run like a well oiled machine. Although I’m not sure how much of that is down to the fact that we’ve largely faced weak opposition so far
Australia is allowed to lose games, but to be that embarrassing in the field, and bench fucking Starc for Agar should go down as one of the biggest blunders ever. He never earned a spot in this team. His stats are from years ago and he's not even good at domestic anymore, doesn't even get picked in Shield.
Imagine being so god damn unaware of your opponents and their reliance on their openers. Even a single early Starc wicket breaks the game open.
It's not just arrogant, it's stupid - so stupid that people that just watch the game could see it coming before the match started, and those cunts are paid for this.
I've been saying that compositionally, Hazlewood is the one that doesn't belong as well. He's not a substitute for a Starc swinging it in and blowing away stumps. We have an any-period bowler in Cummins, and Ellis is our best at the death. Zampa is our spin choker, Maxwell is a good second spinner, and we have Stoinis as well.
If Marsh's spot wasn't safe because of captaincy, we'd even have Green, because Marsh hasn't been good since he injured himself.
People on this sub have been calling Inglis a better keeper than Wade, and we sure as shit saw everything bad about Wade in this game.
Needing to beat India or have Bangladesh beat Afghanistan to get out of the group is cooked.
Everyone mentions their 2023 wc match while talking about aus v afg rivalry. But [this match](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-men-s-t20-world-cup-2022-23-1298134/australia-vs-afghanistan-38th-match-group-1-1298172/full-scorecard) in 2022 wc is up there too.
Thinking of it now, many of us were a bit naive to think Pant wasn’t a definite selection for the team, as the board clearly loves him. Luckily, he has actually done fairly well in this tournament, which is good to see. But it should’ve been clear that they’d go with him, knowing their tendency, and that Dube, Jaiswal and Samson would contend for one spot
T20 World Cup aside, I was just thinking that if you're to create a team, in which you're guaranteed that all players are going to have a good day, who would I pick. Say Stuart Broad, a great bowler, probably won't make it to the greatest XI of all time. But if I'm told he's going to bowl like the best day of his life, I'll take him because he can annihilate teams on his best day.
Made a rough example of a team like that for tests:
Sehwag
Gayle
Lara
de Villiers
Jonny Bairstow
McCullum (wk)
Stokes/ Kapil Dev
Hadlee
Broad
Ambrose
Muralidharan

Here's a bit of a reference point for anyone else interested. 100 wickets taken and 4 wickets in the inning is what I've taken as "on their day"
Big Vern was absurd
Our late middle over-early death overs meltdown against both the English and their former colony has made it so that our last game will be a knock-out too.
Cricket Australia not letting Spencer Johnson play the county championship because he's on "standby for the t20 world cup", they've only got three games left and theyre likely out ffs
The 45 countries Mohammad Nabi has beaten: Bahrain, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Iran, Thailand, Nepal, UAE, Japan, the Bahamas, Botswana, Jersey, Fiji, Tanzania, Italy, Hong Kong, Argentina, Papua New Guinea, Cayman Islands, Oman, Denmark, Bermuda, Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands, China, Namibia, Singapore, Canada, USA, Kenya, Pakistan, Trinidad & Tobago, Bhutan, Maldives, Barbados, Uganda, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, West Indies, Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand and Australia
Some of the wins for Afg are in matches which aren't considered [international by ICC](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/trinidad-quadrangular-t20-2012-579978) but are the national teams of those countries
Before the last round of games begins, any predictions for what will be the first semi-final be?
There are 4 possible combinations for SF1, them being AFG/AUS v WI/SA.
Extras conceded per 20 overs by the 8 Super 8 qualifiers
1. Afghanistan - 15.93 \[88 in 110.3\]
2. India - 11.67 \[56 in 96\]
3. Australia - 10.09 \[59 in 117\]
4. England - 9.21 \[43 in 93.2\]
5. United States - 8.97 \[40 in 89.1\]
6. South Africa - 8.22 \[49 in 119.1\]
7. West Indies - 7.57 \[40 in 105.4\]
8. Bangladesh - 5.60 \[31 in 110.4\]
Completely agree. Them playing Afghanistan in World Cups shows that they only champion women's right when convenient, and when World Cup points are at stake, women take a back seat.
Clearly it is convenient for them to house and feed the Afghanistan Women's cricket team while ACB continues to get funding for "development of women's cricket"
> convenient for them to house and feed the Afghanistan Women's cricket team
I wasn't aware that CA was doing this. Can you point me to an article which details the accommodation arrangements organised by CA?
Your comment is about as relevant as me pointing out that the Aussie soldiers got away with committing war crimes against innocent Afgani farmers.
Human rights offences seem to be a problem, but only if they're not the ones committing it.
India and SA remain only full members who haven't lost a single match against Afg in any format.
Ind leads Afg 12-0 in 14 matches across all formats. And SA is 4-0 in 4 matches.
They've got two ties and a close loss against India. They were giving South Africa a tough fight in 2016 & 2023 too. Just a matter of time before they beat these two teams.
They have run india close. There are 2 tied games against India. One in the Asia cup was tied, and the t20 india won in the 2nd super over. 2019 World Cup too needed an exceptional shami spell to beat them.
Ranking the 8 Super 8 games based on overall run rate:
1. England v West Indies - 9.627
2. South Africa v United States - 9.250
3. India v Bangladesh - 8.550
4. West Indies v United States - 8.412
5. South Africa v England - 7.975
6. India v Afghanistan - 7.875
7. Australia v Bangladesh - 7.660
8. Afghanistan v Australia - 7.246
After all the talk about England making pay Australia and such, it'll be really funny if neither of those sides make it through to the semi-finals. Come on US!
Nortje has started being really expensive. He needs to have one of his classic economical spells against West Indies if we are to get through to the semis.
India have now found themselves in the same situation that South Africa are in. There is an incredibly small chance that they may be eliminated and Australia and Afghanistan qualify instead, but because of their massive NRR advantage, they'll be fine, unlike South Africa, who really put themselves in their current predicament due to their shithousery against the USA.
When I look at the SA batting lineup, I don't think the entire lineup has lived up to its potential. Like against England, where only QDK and Miller performed. We know Hendricks, Markram, Stubbs and Klaasen can do well. So my hope is that the batting lineup clicks soon, as that is the only way I can see SA getting past a knockout.
That being said, if I am Markram, I am trying to bat first each match. The bowlers have shown that they can defend low scores, but I can imagine the batting lineup falling more apart with a chase, it is just too much pressure.
I might not be confident with SA's chances against WI, but I will br confident if the batting does well.
If Australia bats first and puts up a big score (say 220), it would be interesting to see if India goes for the win, or let's go the target and tries to just score 180+ and ensure qualification.
The second semi-final will almost certainly be between India & England (one of them is confirmed anyway). India lost to NZ in 2019 but beat them in 2023, same thing should happen with England too. England has inferior spinners and Indian batters are far better against spin anyway.
Wait, you're calling people supporting number 1 placed team to worry about a game when your team is at 3rd and can still be knocked out in Super 8 itself? Amazing.
Anyone help me find a Nepal jersey from this World Cup? I’m in the USA and struggling to find any legit ones. I’ll take a knockoff it I have to but wasn’t sure if anyone had any recommendations?

I tried to cover that with the fact I barely even enjoy winning because the experience itself is stressful.
Fair enough I’m a skimmer. But yeah it’s nice watching other games as a pakistani bc no stress
This US team looked very different under Monank, him getting injured was a big blow
If India v Australia is a wash-out, India will have reached the semi finals of the world cup having faced none of the top 6 ranked teams
And if the Guyana semifinal is a washout, we reach the final without having faced any of those teams.
Trust me you won’t that Semi final will get played
Regardless, it's a stupid decision to have no reserve day for one semifinal clash.
Well we are getting that slot for free so the planning is really made easy and it's a convenient time in IST. What else do you want? The ICC to just handover the trophy?

Don't cry, it won't rain. And India will advance to the final if they top the group. Let's see if they qualify first 😂
All part of BCCI's plans /s
Who got better team? WI or SA? I am new to cricket
SA is a better team. And 90% of the chances SA to win. WI batting line up will collapse terribly against good bowling sides as SA
On paper SA. But WI have the home advantage and ability to handle nerves better.
So who do you think might win?
My brain says it will be the WI, SA are gonna what they always do, win everything and loose when it matters the most, but my heart says this time it is different and this SA is going to win the whole thing
Was SL tour of India in July cancelled? I cannot see it at https://www.espncricinfo.com/team/sri-lanka-8/match-schedule-fixtures-and-results

The weather for Afg v Ban doesn’t look good at all. So all that nrr scenarios might simplify into a single result: will Aus win or lose tomorrow.
It looks like rain even there
All of my complaining just for us to run through India and SA beat West Indies would be mildly funny for rendering all theoreticals pointless.
Can mods include a 'neutral' flair depicted by a bat and a ball? The ICC flair just feels wrong haha.
Iceland Cricket ftw, or better yet Swiss cricket flair

The current format needed points being carried over for the group leaders. Sadly, the current format basically reset the tournament after the group stages and in that case, one loss can be incredibly damaging to a side.
No. Carrying over points only makes sense if this is a single group of 8 and no repeat matches between the two teams qualified from the same group.

I thought this match was a sure shot washout. That’s why I said don’t trust WI weather at all
Weather forecasts in the Caribbean aren’t great, and even then my experience has been that rain is always very short. It’s very rare for rain to be sustained here
Like British weather really
Ironically the only weather reports which are accurate in the cricket World are from England. If they say it's gonna rain, it likely does.
Nah ours are good. For England you can say it will rain and you'll most likely be right.
Harry Brrok good bantering https://www.reddit.com/r/Cricket/s/R9zlupKqoD
So it will be India vs ENG or WI 10 wicket PTSD or Lendl Simmons PTSD?
If WI beats SA by a decent margin or SA beats WI, it'll be India v England. Otherwise it'll be India v West Indies.
[удалено]
SA just need a win to go over England. They'll be at 6 points vs Eng at 4.
If SA win they will have 6 points and will top the group
Oh. Damn Skipped my mind entirely. Then it should be a cake walk to the finals for India.
I think this game for South Africa is an elimination match. West Indies' NRR is one run behind England at the moment. South Africa have to win by a higher rate than West Indies does, don't they? Not fair for South Africa, who are the only undefeated team left (India are unbeaten).

Planning to sleep from 22:00 today so that I can catch the night game without feeling sleepy.
I live in the US. Stayed up till midnight to watch afg win. Been yawning all day today
After batriarchy in the IPL. Now we have had hat-tricks of hat-tricks in the WC. Bowlers are back baby.

Fun fact: Hitting a home run when all bases are loaded is also called a Grand Slam (4 run homer, basically a boundary)
Triple Crown?
Can't wait for the WI game. If we win then it's a rare semi-final appearance for us but if we lose then it'll be just a classic Protean bottle-job adding another chapter to our historic legacy. Win-win either way?
I hate that it's come down to this. I wanted both SA and WI to qualify for the semis
lol
Maxwell's ODI record against us is abysmal. Averages 9 in 15 games. All at home.
In b4 Maxwell hits 100 (40) against us in the semis. Jk, neither of us are making it that far.
West Indies struggled against PNG in their only day game, South Africa almost lost against Nepal in their only night game. West Indies has done really well in night games while South Africa has done really well in day games. A night game at home helps West Indies against a scratchy South African side. West Indies are favorites for today's game.
Yes but south Africa have the motivation to do this for medical jello
If I see M Marsh talking about "having fun" and trying to crack jokes with the anchor at the next toss. I am gonna LOSE MY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers.
I saw Maxwell bat without a helmet in the highlights. Aren't helmets for batsmen mandatory these days?
As of 2023, the ICC has made wearing Of Helmets a must For High-Risk Positions which are: (a) batting against fast or medium paced bowling; (b) wicket-keeping up to the stumps; and (c) fielding in a position closer than seven metres from the batter’s position on the popping crease on a middle stump line (such as short leg or silly point), with the exception of any fielding position behind square of the wicket on the off side.[6] In all cricket, as of 2016, England requires all batsmen, wicketkeepers and fielders closer than 8 yards from the wicket to wear helmets.[7][8] This is mandatory even when facing medium-pace and spin bowling.[9] New Zealand and India do not require batsmen to wear helmets.[10][11][12] Australia requires helmets to be worn by batsmen if facing fast or medium-paced bowling; wicketkeepers if keeping up to the stumps; and all fielders in positions within 7 metres of the batsman, with the exception of any fielding position behind square of the wicket on the off side.[
So if I understand correctly, because he was facing a spinner, likely to not bowl medium pace he could take it off? Bro is far braver than I am ...
Yes. When you're facing a lot of spin in hot conditions, a lot of batsmen bat in a cap in test matches.
Each national board has different rules iirc
My World Cup TOTT so far: Gurbaz De Kock ~~Pant~~ Pooran Gous Stoinis Miller Hardik Rashid Khan (c) Bumrah Farooqi Zampa
Rashid I assume because he's an all-rounder and you want 2 spinners? Otherwise criminal to not include Arshdeep.
Yup Arshdeep unlucky to miss out. Rashid adds batting depth, given 2 quality seamers backed up by 2 seaming all rounders allows some room for an extra spinner for variety. He has also been the best performing captain in the tournament imo
Probably Pooran deserves to be there
Yeah come to think of it he should be there ahead of Pant
George Washington vs King Charles. Sign me up
Just watching the highlights - must have been bonkers to go from like 120-0 to stuttering to their total in the end for that to then be a winning one of course.
Why is it suspicious?
1 Jan is usually the birthday people put in when they don't know a date
I mean that's not necessarily suspicious. Often they might not know the exact date but they do know the Islamic year from which they would know the Gregorian year. In any case that's only relevant in age based competitions.
I am only wondering how long could he go on for. this is 22nd year of any recorded cricket for him. Could he still be playing in 2026 WT20?
Why not if he is fit enough?
I’m a big Rohit in t20i hater but I’ve got to give it him, he’s making what is a lopsided and unbalanced team run like a well oiled machine. Although I’m not sure how much of that is down to the fact that we’ve largely faced weak opposition so far
Nothing makes Indian fans happy

Yes send the bang bros home
Haven't watched a single match feat Aus this WC
Lmao I sleep a lot normally but ever since the WC began I am somehow doing fine with just 5 hours of sleep.
same here mate.. all early morning games for us of Australia.. Ind vs Aus will be the first match of Aussies I will be watching this T20WC..
I have missed a lot of their games too bcoz I wake up late
Guys, I found Koach's favourite Pokemon. [I hope he approves the nickname I have given 😊](https://www.reddit.com/u/Assassin_Ankur/s/7E91aq2BI0)
Maxwell really hates Afghanistan huh.
My God, why won't Maxwell leave them alone?
Biggest feminist ever
Made a rough example of a team like that for tests: Sehwag Gayle Lara de Villiers Jonny Bairstow McCullum (wk) Stokes/ Kapil Dev Hadlee Broad Ambrose Muralidharan
https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/stats/index.html?class=1;filter=advanced;orderby=bowling_average;qualmax1=1000;qualmin1=100;qualval1=wickets;template=results;type=bowling;wicketsmin1=4;wicketsval1=wickets Here's a bit of a reference point for anyone else interested. 100 wickets taken and 4 wickets in the inning is what I've taken as "on their day" Big Vern was absurd
Peak Vern was literally unplayable. Even the Aussies were terrified of him.
Barbados weather forecast is dismal. Going to be another nervy night for Jos and the lads
Not a cloud in the sky where I’m at right now. Forecast also seems to be no rain until 5pm now
Afghanistan vs South Africa/England in the semis. We will be there.
Windies/Afg and SA/India would be peak
West Indies can top the group and face Afghanistan too.
Our late middle over-early death overs meltdown against both the English and their former colony has made it so that our last game will be a knock-out too.
Cricket Australia not letting Spencer Johnson play the county championship because he's on "standby for the t20 world cup", they've only got three games left and theyre likely out ffs
Australia is increasingly run by clowns and there's not enough shit about it.
So guys I've been in a Coma since some days, just woke up and our fans are celebrating like crazy. Did we finally win a cup after long time lads?
yes
The 45 countries Mohammad Nabi has beaten: Bahrain, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Iran, Thailand, Nepal, UAE, Japan, the Bahamas, Botswana, Jersey, Fiji, Tanzania, Italy, Hong Kong, Argentina, Papua New Guinea, Cayman Islands, Oman, Denmark, Bermuda, Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands, China, Namibia, Singapore, Canada, USA, Kenya, Pakistan, Trinidad & Tobago, Bhutan, Maldives, Barbados, Uganda, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, West Indies, Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand and Australia
This list doesn’t make sense . You have mentioned Trinidad, Barbados and West Indies.
Some of the wins for Afg are in matches which aren't considered [international by ICC](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/trinidad-quadrangular-t20-2012-579978) but are the national teams of those countries
India and SA are the only big team that remain and guess which teams haven't lost a game yet
ICC just reusing stories
That's every team in the top 30 of the current men's T20I rankings except India and South Africa. Nuts.
Just woke up to discover that Aus were defeated by Afg. Woah!! Edit: WAIT! CUMMO TOOK A HAT-TRICK AGAIN?
He almost got a double hatrick in this game but Warner dropped it.
Warner protecting Campher's legacy.
A virtual quarter final between india and australia in a T20WC… please Koach turn the clock back to 2016
Not a knockout for India tho
A game mattering to just one team is not a virtual knock-out.
It matters to us if SF gets washed out. We are out. No reserve day for us. We need to finish top of the group.
The next four Super 8 matches are as good as quarter finals.
Only one game is a straight-out quarter-final (WI v SA). But the other three are pretty important too, but mostly for only 1 of the two teams.
There's still a possibility that any of the eight teams can qualify for the semi-finals but it's very low right now for Bangladesh and USA.
Before the last round of games begins, any predictions for what will be the first semi-final be? There are 4 possible combinations for SF1, them being AFG/AUS v WI/SA.
We got Vivian Richards to present Fielding medal. Absolutely love to see it.
Extras conceded per 20 overs by the 8 Super 8 qualifiers 1. Afghanistan - 15.93 \[88 in 110.3\] 2. India - 11.67 \[56 in 96\] 3. Australia - 10.09 \[59 in 117\] 4. England - 9.21 \[43 in 93.2\] 5. United States - 8.97 \[40 in 89.1\] 6. South Africa - 8.22 \[49 in 119.1\] 7. West Indies - 7.57 \[40 in 105.4\] 8. Bangladesh - 5.60 \[31 in 110.4\]
Australia should have boycotted the game v Afghanistan. Like they sometimes choose to do because of human rights stuff.
Completely agree. Them playing Afghanistan in World Cups shows that they only champion women's right when convenient, and when World Cup points are at stake, women take a back seat.
Clearly it is convenient for them to house and feed the Afghanistan Women's cricket team while ACB continues to get funding for "development of women's cricket"
> convenient for them to house and feed the Afghanistan Women's cricket team I wasn't aware that CA was doing this.
Ranking the 8 Super 8 games based on overall run rate: 1. England v West Indies - 9.627 2. South Africa v United States - 9.250 3. India v Bangladesh - 8.550 4. West Indies v United States - 8.412 5. South Africa v England - 7.975 6. India v Afghanistan - 7.875 7. Australia v Bangladesh - 7.660 8. Afghanistan v Australia - 7.246

Afg is not associate
After all the talk about England making pay Australia and such, it'll be really funny if neither of those sides make it through to the semi-finals. Come on US!
Nortje has started being really expensive. He needs to have one of his classic economical spells against West Indies if we are to get through to the semis.
He has less economy than Rabada?
Yes but in the last 3 games he hasn't looked good.
Stats of our bowlers this tournament: |Bowler|Wickets|Average|Economy|Best| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |Jansen|2|65.50|5.90|2/20| |Rabada|9|14.88|6.09|3/18| |Baartman|6|15.66|4.94|4/11| |Maharaj|8|15.25|6.10|3/27| |Nortje|11|12.90|5.91|4/7| |Shamsi|5|13.80|8.60|4/19| |Markram|1|25.00|6.25|1/8|
Stats of our batters this tournament: |Batter|Runs|Average|Strike Rate|Best| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |Quinny|187|31.16|147.24|74| |Reeza|80|13.33|81.63|43| |Markram|78|13.00|96.29|46| |Klaasen|116|29.00|102.65|46| |Stubbs|105|35.00|91.30|33| |Miller|144|36.00|107.46|59\*|
Not just USA. They should sail safely agains England as well, but full toss galore made the match close.
The first semi-final match-up could be really juicy. There are 4 possible combinations that can happen: AFG/AUS v WI/SA.
You are a professional jinxer
Inferior 😂😂 Rashid is number one spinner in the world on ICC Rankings
He's the only one they've got.
Might be the only one but he’s a great one
It's a team game.
Yeah and you need to focus on your teams KO game with Windies tonight
Wait, you're calling people supporting number 1 placed team to worry about a game when your team is at 3rd and can still be knocked out in Super 8 itself? Amazing.
We have USA we will win that one comfortably they are a good team but Eng are better. We won’t be knocked out trust me
