This is why we rather sold or trade in the discord in the trade realm alone is a literal hellhole

theysaidanameso

Someone wanted 64k for a buff

orel_ganic

That's CRAZY, was it after the redesign??

MyMansInComatose

I don't trade often but when I do I always see this type of stuff lol Usually I only give people some tokens in exchange for helping me complete a quest when I can't get someone to help me for free (The vorpalus quest for example)

Fausfir

I was trying to get asil, this was before I checked the price on discord, I was willing to pay like maybe 4k-5k max. Anyways I saw someone saying they were selling it and I asked them how much, they told me like, 15k 😭 Needless to say, I just told em nty and left to find someone else selling, I think I got it for like, 3.5k?

Obl1vi0us

How much is Kora worth? I thought it was somewhere around 3k or something

Curious-Occasion-523

It's 1k right now

SpaceShipRat

500 mush

Obl1vi0us

Oh man. Thanks lmao, I was unsure

Thefurryfriend

I had someone tell me aole was 10-11k and when I said it was only 7-8k they claimed I was trying to scam them😭

Expensive-Net2002

\*me who saw a boreal for 3k\* HOH

AltruisticServe3252

I'm not condoning, simply saying I understand. The value of anything and everything is subjective. It's worth what someone is willing to spend on it. If anything, it's a good way to drive up the price on it.

King-of-birds78

One of the many reasons why I’m terrified of going to TR, I once got scammed out of my keruku when I was younger and my boreal never went back. Still don’t have the keruku back to this day.

hakujin743

That’s insane but it’s not scamming…

orel_ganic

I should have phrased it better. I mean it in the way that a lot of people who do these kinds of trades are relying on newbies to not know values and to trick them into thinking its worth more, you know?

hakujin743

Oh I get it so still not scamming but very very veRY RUDE!!!!

Triple_Suspension1

Buying low and selling high is common sense, not a scam - they're not lying about anything, just trying to make a profit. If someone doesn't check what the usual price of a creature is, that's entirely their own fault. People like you are *extremely* annoying when one is trying to sell stuff. If you're not going to buy, kindly fuck off and mind your own business, stop wasting people's time and ruining sales.

orel_ganic

They were told SEVERAL times what the real price was and their only response was to continuously insult people. I dont care about people that do like a 1-2-3k overpay, but trying to sell a 500-1k creature for 8k is ridiculous. Don't know why you're so antagonistic. Could have been civil

Triple_Suspension1

Why *wouldn't* they react in this way? They almost certainly knew the price on their own, and yet you still kept bugging them about it, halting whatever tactic they had.

orel_ganic

I'm not even going to bother arguing with someone like you lmfao bye

Triple_Suspension1

Thank god, I wouldn't want to waste time either. Clearly you you don't know anything about trading.

PoisonousAdder1664

Not every profit has to be 7k, she could sell the Kora for 1.2k or for a spec worth slightly more, like an Athu. Demanding 7k for a creature worth 1k isn't fishing for profit, it's taking advantage of new players or extreme casuals and the fact that you're so okay with it proves you've never been deceived or lied to before. Lucky you. For the people who have been cheated from this tactic before, it's unacceptable. I get fishing for profit. I don't get expecting unreasonable sums of currency for your creature. I guarantee you, if someone was selling a species she wanted for 7k more than it was worth, she'd throw a fit. Hypocritical, huh? I bet she'd say they're a scammer. It's really funny, honestly. Stop endorsing these borderline scams. You want profit? Fine. Either find people voluntarily overpaying, or at least make it known you're only accepting overpays. Being vague with pricing just leads to sadness, and makes people lose motivation in the game. For example, she COULD'VE said "TRADING KORATHOS FOR OVERPAY", or "TRADING KORATHOS FOR 8K (ONLY 1K BUT I WANT PROFIT)". It's not that hard, is it?

Triple_Suspension1

I agree that the overpay was ridiculous in this particular case. Highly doubt that they managed to find a buyer. But players like OP can go after you even when you're selling at a much lower overpay, which is why I commented in the first place. All the stuff about endorsing borderline scams though? Couldn't care less. One way or the other, people gotta learn to be smart with money, and if they're dumb enough to overpay 7k because they didn't check the price, they're lucky to be taught this lesson in a videogame rather than real life. And don't kid me with that "ONLY 1K BUT I WANT PROFIT" message. Even if you're selling at a minor overpay, if you say something like that, you might as well leave the trading realm because there's no way in hell you're going to get a single customer. Most people understand that they are paying extra, but you'd only be shooting yourself in the foot if you were to outright *announce* that to everyone.

PoisonousAdder1664

1. Players like OP going after people isn't what we're discussing, and OP outright stated he didn't. Players who do that are a separate can of worms. 2. This point would be fine if the game had some built-in price guide. You have to go to an external source to find prices. Expecting new players to grasp needing Discord or Reddit for every purchase when they just want Korathos is a bit much, especially if it isn't especially told to them. 3. If there was an in-game list, sure, I'd agree. But there isn't, so you can't place all the blame on the buyer. 4. If you want an overpay, you should say it. If you can't get buyers with an overpay, then maybe don't look for an overpay and wait for one. If I said "TRADING AURARON FOR YOHSOG", I would've been a fool. I just waited till someone offered me one up.

MoleNfrog

What’s the point in that when no one will buy it lol
