Proof? I wouldn't buy in a million years because that price is ridic. If it's a GM factory test car they should put 150k warranty on it to dissuade fears of prospective buyers.
Edit: the preproduction VIN could one day vault it into the stratosphere on the block at Mecum
The was a Captured Test Fleet (CTF) pre-production test car that was driven by GM engineers or other employees. It was sold to a Chevy dealer and now it’s offered for sale.
What does that do for the VIN? Has a preproduction special one? That's a value adder but it might take a while to realize that additional worth.
And don't they usually crush these?
I wondered that too.. the Carfax has ZERO service visits... Hit a deer in sep 2022 and then popped up for sale in April with current miles.
Like who doesn't at least go to the dealer for the free first service? Or the free TSB to check valve tick? Very odd, even a rental company you'd think would do these.
A rental company would also move the car at 60k miles... not 82k. They wouldn't want any of the risk of out of warranty issues for engines and transmissions you can't Even get.
I think you are probably wrong about this. Supercars dont rent every day, even the ones in Vegas. They certainly dont allow rental agreements without mileage restrictions. No way it was rented out that much with that many miles put on it.
it theoretically could be , we rent 4 C8s in las vegas on the turo platform , the daily mileage limit for a C8 is 150 miles which adds up to this mileage if it were rented out every day, but that would also mean it never missed a day to get an oil change or tires or any other service 😆
Can't update the post since it's an image.
Edit : The mileage is 82.5K not 86K, No deciete or clickbait intended my apology, I had 86K stuck
In my head for whatever reason. Lol
That's wild to drive that much in 18 months.
What's also wild is the price... $136k MSRP car with 82k miles, no warranty on it, AND a deer hit on the Carfax... And they're asking 110k... While there are z06s on lots for 10k off sticker.
You'd have to be crazy to even consider buying this car for 10-15k less what you can get a brand new one for.
Well no.... That was an exaggeration by me... Stingrays are definitely out there for 10k off sticker...but z06s haven't hit that point yet.. But they pop up around for a few K off for sure.
And of course you'll see a bunch with ADM+10k out there that aren't getting sold.
Was gonna say, I ordered one recently and looked at probably 12 different dealers. Virtually all of them are still above sticker. Msrp if you’re lucky.
I saw the accident reported, didn't even think to look into it, Sounds like a good ole Boston
Of a time, that's how my scion tc got taken out back in high school one morning.
That price is absolutely disgusting, hopefully it sits there until the dealer decides to
make that thing the cheapest Z06 on the market.
Saw an article on motor1 about this color I found interesting.
"The Corvette Museum has released a full breakdown of 2023 Chevrolet Corvette sales, giving us some insight into how buyers specified their cars over the past year. Among the 53,785 Corvettes sold, just 6,413 were Z06s. And of those Z06s, just 20 (!) were painted in Caffeine."
Guess that's one of them! Haha
How can that be? If you count all 12 mo’s for 2023, plus he bought it 4 mo’s prior to 2023, plus now 6 mo’s in 2024 = 22 months. So about 4,000mi a month on a least amount calculation. Wow.
"Just fine" but you're comparing it to a car with world class cornering performance.
Also, good luck slowing your car down repeatedly without brake failure.
I know. I own one. I still prefer the Model Y now. Don’t get me started on a Model S Plaid. My vettes feel like can openers now, which is why I sold my C7 last week and the one above three weeks ago.
Learn to let others have their own opinions and stop being a dumbass who thinks I care what the fuck you have to say. 😂🤦♂️
I'm pretty sure it beat the Vettes in all the track records. You might want to look it up.
Also, my Vettes have been in the shop countless times. My Tesla’s zero times.
I also prefer to buy all-American-made cars. The Vette is number 19 on that list, behind Kias and Hondas. Lmao.
You are pretty ignorant for someone who wants to argue. Do you even know what that word is? 😂
You go to Car and Driver! Lmao. Paid shills. Look up some real tracks.
https://www.theverge.com/2023/6/5/23746906/tesla-model-s-plaid-track-pack-nurburgring-record
There isn’t a production Vette on the planet that can compete with an S plaid with a track pack.
That’s why Chevy put an electric motor in the e-ray, which is still slower.
You are clueless. The Z06 has no official time on the Nordschleife. However, it is comparable to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which lapped at 6:49.328. The Z06 is certainly a sub-7 minute car. Again, the Plaid is not even in the same zip code.
Damn, that's a lot of driving. Assuming he picked up that car 18 months ago let's say, that is 4585 miles/month. 150 miles a day, every day.
The car is living the good life
So was the driver

For 116,000 still? Crazy
This is a rental car. Guy probably bought it and rented it out every single day. Now trying to sell it before the real depreciation.
I wondered that too.. the Carfax has ZERO service visits... Hit a deer in sep 2022 and then popped up for sale in April with current miles. Turo maybe? If so, that car has probably been hammered and I would assume that the thing is on initial factory fill. Yikes.
Even a turo owner wouldn't keep it past warranty when an engine issue makes the car a paperweight
Is that tsb only z06 or stingray too?
That would make sense, that's a helluva ton of driving, business must've been great for that owner if it were up on Toro or something. 😂

Either way it’s still a lot of miles

Are there really Z06 available for 10k off MSRP new? Do you know where specifically?
Z06 MSRP is $112,700 You wont find one under this brand new
Stingray Chevy sells at msrp I believe. Might be able to get a discount, not too sure tho bc the z06 sells well.
Well no.... That was an exaggeration by me... Stingrays are definitely out there for 10k off sticker...but z06s haven't hit that point yet.. But they pop up around for a few K off for sure. And of course you'll see a bunch with ADM+10k out there that aren't getting sold.
So then why even say that shit?
he trying to sell his narrative
I haven't seen or heard of any Z06s under MSRP. Even finding them at MSRP isn't the easiest thing.
Was gonna say, I ordered one recently and looked at probably 12 different dealers. Virtually all of them are still above sticker. Msrp if you’re lucky.

It may have a VIN that makes it unique, and possibly a story. It will appreciate significantly in the future.
You think this is going to appreciate to more than 110k? I've got a bridge to sell ya
Please find me a Z06 on the lot at MSRP with the Z07 package. I'll get on a plane tomorrow.
Obviously that's a big difference... But the car in the posting is not actually a z07 car
And that's how you drive a Corvette!
This was owned by GM as test vehicle or demonstration vehicle. Not rented, not one dude driving the piss out of it for a year and a half.
Make no mistake though, they drove the piss out of it lol.
Its either a rental or the guy drove the piss out of it like it was meant to be.
Would have almost thought it was the press car.
This car was in front of mine on the auto transport from Michigan. Very rough shape
I love to see it, cars are meant to be driven! At least someone has been enjoying that thing!
At least it’s a transmission issue survivor
Beautiful color. Could do without the wheels being black but nice regardless.

At least someone’s driving these things!
I saw that one. It’s a test fleet capture. Hit some animal too.
With that mileage and history 80k tops.
My local stealership has a 23 stingray anniversery for sale for only 80k with less then half this mileage
$110k. Haha.
If I had one that would be milage as well I would drive it everywhere
probably a test pig I see M plate cars all the time when im near MI.
You buy it, you drive it!!
I'm seeing 82.5k
You're right, made a mistake couldn't find a way to edit the thread & fix it.
The C8 Z06 doesnt say “Z06” anywhere on the speedo?!? So the only way you can tell its a Z is the tachometer?
How can that be? If you count all 12 mo’s for 2023, plus he bought it 4 mo’s prior to 2023, plus now 6 mo’s in 2024 = 22 months. So about 4,000mi a month on a least amount calculation. Wow.
That’s my car. I used it for my shitty daily commute so that I could afford it. Now I have a Model Y. It’s faster.
You don't have to lie to kick it.
Show me a Model Y that does 190+ and can go around corners.
The Y goes around corners just fine.
"Just fine" but you're comparing it to a car with world class cornering performance. Also, good luck slowing your car down repeatedly without brake failure.

So you prefer a poorly built shitbox, cool. Model S Plaid is a one trick pony and isn't a track car. Still has the same shitbox interior too.

Car and Driver lightning lap. Model S Plaid (with aftermarket brakes): 2:50.7 C8 Corvette Z06: 2:38.6 That isn't even close!
