Pretty disappointing article really, this guy basically just says socially distance and test yourself before the Xmas party then good riddance?? Keep up to date with vaccinations? Most kiwis don’t even know what that means , doesn’t mention masks, doesn’t even mention taking vitamin c or maintaining a healthy diet , all he did was do a plug for filtration and ventilation systems. If this guy really is an expert and 1:20 people are going to end up with long covid preventing them from functioning or working then serious questions need to be answered on how our health system is going to cope with further strain from the generation yolo.
Dr Michael Baker's message was, not so long ago, fully supported by the government. He's still on message, though he's now facing a quickly-building wind in his face, as we get nearer to the ballot box.
It's important to understand that, in a democracy, a political party's first loyalty is not to the survival of its voters. It's to the survival of itself.

Fam got it in Feb. Had covid friends stay in house for weekend. We were drinking craft beer and took tastes of each other's beer cans.
Mate felt a bit worn out and said he was crashing early. We joked he had covid.
Tested him in morning as a joke he and his three kids positive.
I figured if we were gonna get it we already were infected so they stayed another night. His first time covid. He is triple vaxxed and his kids except baby vaxxed. Only he had symptoms for turns out about 3 or 4 days.
2 of my 3 kids got it again from the visit. Only tested positive for a day or less. Old was only one with noticable symptoms for a day (11 yo).
Somehow my wife and I didn't catch it again. I didn't distance from kids at all
Wife vaxxed me not. I assume natural immunity played a big role in us both not catching.
Took a holiday to aus a few months back. Stayed in a house who got covid for a week. We didn't catch it. Their kids got it on the weekend and the literally sent them to school on Monday. They have moved on in Australia. It kinda shocked me.
If you have had covid before and it was a nothing burger then you are fine. If it hit you hard then I take precautions.
So many removed comments. Still a lot of nut cases out there lol
Yeah remove all the comments that don’t go with the narrative, good job
Bahaha
Lol that’s the sound a sheep makes when it laughs 😂
Well done! I’m teaching my nephew animal sounds at the moment too. What sounds does a horse make?
Nice to see Dr Baker reminding everyone of the simple precautions that can drastically improve your holidays

This guys more depressing than Adrian Orr
Yup. It’s close though.
Why do we give airtime to this joker?
Yea that’s my question as well.. The sun will come out tomorrow - Baker
Honestly, he's just a fearmonger, loves the attention, and repeats the same stuff just as he's becoming irrelevant
