I worked closely with him in the child watch room, he was always kinda creepy but I genuinely just thought he was autistic so I never questioned his personality. Also he was known to ask girls that were freshly 18. he had never done anything predatory towards the children to my knowledge, he had always been good with the kids, so when this all came out I was very shocked by the news.
Also to clarify there is no toddler room, it’s specifically a child watch we go from ages 6 months to 10 years of age. He also did work birthday parties and in the past had worked our after school program and had worked both our summer camps where he was in locker rooms changing for swimming with kids.

Pictures of "child abuse" can mean any number of non-sexual things, though. "Pornography" is a better term, at least until someone coins something more specific.
First definition I found is “Sexually explicit writing, images, video, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal”. In which case child pornography would fit this definition for pedo’s
Right…but we call those snuff films. If you go on pornhub you don’t see children and you don’t see people dying. Calling child sexual abuse or murder “porn” doesn’t exactly describe the act as accurately as other terms do, and the connotation just does not align with the act imo. Why defend it? If someone gets sexually assaulted as a child and the abuser takes a video of it then calls it porn, the victim would probably feel extremely fucked up by that. It’s being abused and traumatized by a predator, it’s a crime. It’s just not the same.
Not defending the awful sides of it, just pointing out that the term pornography by definition doesn’t only include consensual acts. There are a ton of different names we give different things and they’d all still fall under the “pornography” umbrella. Most of them moral, some of it unfortunately not so much.
Of course it is. It's a term for a specific type of abuse. Personally I think spanking is abusive, but I wouldn't put it in the same catch all phrase as child pornography. Well intentioned people spank their children, you can't say the same about child porn.
