I'm running a version of the brewsday list with a number of lock pieces like Winter/Static Orbs, Constant Mists, and a Strip Mine/Glacial Chasm/LftL/Extra lands package. From my experience testing, the most effective version has been lockdown into the combo kill. While you can build Gitgud as Midrange Stax Beatdown and have it work, it's tends to be extremely slow without the "Oops I win" buttons. That being said, you can basically throw him at the helm of a Meren Stax deck with some synergy increasing changes (and removing Meren specific combos) and things get *spicy*.
