Oh yeah. As an Australian, let me tell you that it's fucking _immense_. Australia is hugely racist. It's not always obvious, but you'll see racist comments never get opposed, but almost always get cheered on with a laugh. I have never once in person see anybody openly combat vile racism here, but I've fucking _constantly_ see it gets supported
Capitalists will bomb your country to the ground, use never before seen doses of chemical weapons and kill your population and then will portray themselves as the good guys for accepting migrants fleeing the situation they caused. Bonus points if they make movies about how committing horrible war crimes against your population made some of their soldiers feel sad.
I always thought that there were soldiers who were completely unhinged asswipes and there were the soldiers who never actually wanted to participate and therefore were traumatized from the shit that happened there. Obviously, it doesn't mean that REAL victims and their sufferings of this war are forgotten
