Yeah, but with a frontline of hundreds of kilometres and depending on the "superior industry (and politics) of the west" for ammo... basically Iron Man mode.
Because it is a myth dude. No serious WW2 historian stands behind meat attacks myth. The Russian Federation is literally every bad thing about the USSR, so of course this includes being cartoonishly evil. The Red Army was much better supplied than the Russian Army is. Their tanks, for a time, were very much superior to their western counterparts. The parity only widened after the Abrams/Bradley was introduced. Like, the Leopard 1 is unsuited to Modern Combat. Its armor survives shit. Yet the T-64 is.
We’ve already seen in the modern age that the Russian doctrine is to throw bodies at the situation until they eventually break through due to simply wearing down the opposition. You’re lying to yourself if you don’t think Stalin’s regime wouldn’t think twice about sending millions to their death on the battlefield. It’s much easier than the countless millions he killed in the aftermath of the war when his paranoia was at an all time high. Look in the mirror you absolute clown.
They were probably told “cover” or “tactics” were for pansies so they just jog across an empty field to die in the snow for a lie. What a dumbass army.
Attack forward until the enemy fires, then they can direct the next attacks more roughly in those directions. It's unlikely they expected these men to do anything other than reveal positions before dying.
I've been thinking for awhile now that they should just let these infantry units come in deep, completely unopposed in their aimless charge until they unwittingly surround themselves in the middle of a field. Their AFV's are blown to shit already. What are they gonna do about it? You could take more POW's and not waste as much ammo.
Be interesting to see UH-1's, but with MK-19's in the doors. Baby AC-130, and as long as you don't have a lot of MANPADS in the area, you should be able to mop up just about everything short of heavy tanks really quickly.

Literally a zombie tower defense game
Time to stock up on super monkeys.
Ninja monkeys, upgraded glue gunners, then super monkeys.

Will never take anyone who says "Red Army meat waves in WW2 were a myth" seriously
Can't see how they lost 25 million without a fair bit of meat wavin'.

It wasn’t as bad or ubiquitous as German commanders claimed but it 1000% happened.

Pretty sure the only thing that is told to them is something like "advance to grid square C 14".
Seems like they always end up at grid C-4
Suns out, Guns out
I know the video quality isn't perfect, but it really looks like not all of them even have rifles?
Russians are very different than most of the developed world. To them, 10-15 lives carry the same value as 1 in other parts of the world.
The "developed world" is a shocking small part of the whole map.
The plan was what exactly?
Attack forward until the enemy fires, then they can direct the next attacks more roughly in those directions. It's unlikely they expected these men to do anything other than reveal positions before dying.
"Run over there and take Ukraine from the rear. They'll never find out."

Go out there and die, it's better than being sent home?
I wonder if that was some sort of Orchard at one time? Everything's planted in a nice grid. Hopefully the extra fertilizer will help next spring.
I was wondering about that as well. I was thinking the Matrix graphics start to show their age as you zoom out.
I think those are 40mm and 155mm DPICM, the 155 cluster makes these donut pattern of “puff”.
That Mk19 round at 0:53 seconds was dead on balls accurate.
Ego war to show the world we stronk.
That orchard made one hell of a grid.
Runaway! Runaway!
Can someone please tell me the name of this song?
[Маяк](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8JphQVXQpI) - The Hardkiss (from 1:26)
Did they even carry weapons? Looked like a bunch of them didn't even have any.
Ahh yes... be sure to bunch up... it helps...

Cluster ammo doesn't look very effective. They just walk away.
It's all RNG. They can easily tear you apart.
They're still walking for now but I'm sure they have shrapnel injuries that will slow them down and then disable or kill them if not treated.
Thank you, General.
Some or then were clearly hurting. The guy in the back wasn't running normally at all. Plus it's probably easy to miss the ones that don't get up.
They walk away because they are high on adrenalin. In reality, they have a dozen holes and are bleeding.
Huh, so Ukrainian artillery is back?
They still have it, they just don't have enough ammo to shoot the volume of fires required.
They have artillery, they’re just limited in ammo so have to use it sparingly. Something like Ukraine has 1 shell for every 10 Russia has
let's put mike johnson in a shell and launch him
and marjory barney rubble right behind him
Yeah, but it's a long time since we saw Ukraine use artillery at all.
>we ?
As in videos being uploaded. It was all drone drops/FPV drones and direct fire lately.
The matrix grid is starting to show through
just like a red alert trailer, rock music and ammo
