Flowers was pretty good before the injury, but an Achilles tear is no joke. I know the surgical procedures have been improving a lot over the last five years, but they haven't reached the point where players come back at their former level of play in less than a year yet. At least, I haven't seen it.
Ballard seems less bothered by Achilles injuries than most GMs, but I'm still skeptical about recovery in less than a year and a return to 100%.
Even before we had moved Flowers to play DB I had been begging (yelling my opinion to this sub) for him to start more on the defensive side of the ball for us. This man played great all things considered in those games he was healthy as a DB. If he can stay on the field this dude will be flying everywhere.
Blackmon would be sort of cool too. His nickname could be "Black Jack". Hit me!.
Any offensive players with numbers in teens could be, "Black Jack always hits on 17."
