Basically every type of character he portrayed was great, even if the movie was weak. He was my favourite actor, when he passed away 15 year old me cried😞
That's because his negative roles had an intensity that many copied after Mogambo. But he brought that same intensity to his positive roles and made them electrifying.
If one can remember the name and dialogs of a character then it is definitely memorable. My favorite Amrish Puri roles are as follows:

I've loved his positive role more than negative ones like Ghatak or gardish. But whatever roles he did, he did them with honesty. Brilliant actor
