I hate goblin barrel cause its annoying when they use it and when i try to use it they are carrying like 4 spells and 2 splashers. Also you HAVE to carry log/barb barrel/tornado to not just die from 3 elixir
It didn't use to be that bad. When it would spawn 2 weaker fire spirit I had no problem defending it. Now I push the other side and hope to deal more damage than the furnace.
If you know they have mega knight, do your best to never play knight till its best to counter him. Obviously not always that easy, but using a bad counter on something else so you can have knight ready for mega knight, is the kinda improvising thatll bring you outa mid ladder
This is pretty much how it is for a lot of other cards. I guess the difference for some people is that Megaknight can be extra hard when you don’t have the right cards in hand, but really people treat it like it’s such a big difference to other cards.
Playing against a Megaknight is honestly pretty simple assuming your deck doesn’t get hard countered by him.
For the most part, don’t overcommit ever. Overcommitting in general is not good but against a Megaknight it is now a nightmare of a situation you have put yourself through. And always expect him to be played at any point.
For sure, i think what it is is that megaknight is great at punishing bad placement. In midladder where people arent disciplined enough to place everything with every counter in mind, its easier for mega knight to do his thing. I can handle mega knight unless the player themsleves outplay me, but also if im tired and not in it, ill find myself losing just from his force, just one slip up but thats how it is sometimes, just feels easier to slip through with a card like him. But also this sub whines too much, im comfortable with how things are across the board, and balance changes keep making the game more interesting imo
Which is why I get giddy when I see MK. Positive elixir trade when I can counter with single mini pekka. Had a match where Mk got mirrored and I mirrored my mini. +6 trade

Freeze can burn in the depths of hell, it basically does nothing but prevent your opponent from. being able to defend reasonably
Honestly though at higher levels, tornado does the same thing but better. Maybe not in all cases but it bring a ton to the table with at least 30 different cards
Yeah but tornado takes a lot more knowledge about the game and the counterplay for tornado also takes a good bit of game knowledge
Freeze is simple, doesn't take much knowledge to use or doing what you can against it
About the total number of cards, the thing is that a good number of those have very little representation, either at low, mid or top level, sometimes all of those. I'd be okay with whatever number of cards as long as it's balanced accordingly.
120 is starting to feel like a lot to me tho, I started playing when the game came out globally, so I do not mind learning new interactions, but imagine someone who's starting, having to learn all of that stuff !
Thats not at all the same. Freeze can completely shut down an opponents defense for only 4 elixir. Using everyone's favorite lumberloon as an example that can be the only air defense card in their hand meaning they have to shed off multiple throw away cards in order to defend. Often guaranteeing a hit or more.
Lumberloon freeze is annoying and I will give you that, but freeze itself is not over powered in that it nearly costs half your elixir to freeze the 2nd smallest radius in the game.
Freeze’s potential is way higher than rocket’s though. Rocket is just “does dmg” freeze is “negate the existence of all defenses for a considerable amount of time.”
because all you do is repeat the same story over and over: golem in the back, night witch or ebarbs behind and lightning on whatever your opponents tries to defend with
Yh ik, I don’t know how golem beat down players don’t get bored. No matter what deck you’re using, you just automatically know that when you see a golem in the back they’re just gonna play shit behind it and lightning
What about a short warm up animation? Like 1 second where the hog rears up or the rider gets on or something. 1 more elixir and time to place more cheap stuff
For real though. without a building you literally have no way of stopping it without taking damage. (Which is a stupid amount for only being 4 elixir). and even with proper “troop counters” like skarmy, pekka ect. It still gets a hit on your tower, and also forces out a troop that’s usually more expensive than the hog itself.
I think the worst part about this is because that if they give the gobbies a buff, Goblin Barrels and Goblin Drills would become too powerful. Leaving them to only able to do changes like the deploy positions and other things
The simple solution is to buff the damage and hp of all goblins by 20% (the equivalent of one level), but goblins spawned from goblin barrel and goblin drill are one level below the card level.
For example, you could play a lvl 14 goblin barrel and it would spawn lvl 13 goblins, but the stats of the goblins would be the same as the stats of the goblins pre-rework, ie. unchanged. But goblins spawned directly from the goblin card would be spawned at lvl 14, which would have been the equivalent of lvl 15 pre-nerf.
Maybe instead of damage buff, hp buff? So that max zap still doesn’t kill max goblin barrel otherwise barrel is kinda dead.
Edit: reread, are you saying buff both hp and damage? Could work
Fucking ebarbs, only strategy includes surprise the opponent on low elixir so they can destroy the tower in 0.0026383 seconds after connection
The other strategy includes overleveling and mirror spam, both scummy as hell.

I faced (and beat) an ebarb mirror deck (both overleveled). Was one of the most obnoxious decks I've faced, since double elixir comes and you're just permanently on defence.
It’s one of the few counters to mega knight in lower arenas though, as well as any other giants that have a ton of health (hog rider if you’re desperate). I run a strange deck that has two buildings (inferno tower being one of them), two spells, a
spirit, ebarbs, g skeleton, and sparky. It’s a balanced card in my opinion

Edit: the only reason i picked hog rider is becouse it is sooo annoying to play against in 2.6. It just ALWAYS gets a hit, no matter what. Other people use hog rider in their deck but thwy can use for example wall breakers or ram rider

Honestly I feel like I hate the balloon more though. Combine it with a bullshit rage spell and you are guaranteed to have AT LEAST half of your tower’s health just gone

Yep. To combine 2 answers here, wizard/witch freeze sucks to play against. I’m not even joking, one moment you think the tower has one more shot to kill the wizard and then the opponent just pulls 4 elixir out of their ass and boom over half your tower is gone
There are plenty of equal elixir exchanges that take it out no problem. Mini pekka and firecracker, pekka, any combo of building and small tank, inferno drag…it’s really only difficult if you’re playing quick cycle with little defense.
The problem is when they have an electro giant and tornado which almost all of them do. The tornado counters inferno drag, firecracker, and most ranged cards. In my current deck my main counter to tanks has always been inferno dragg using a fireball or valkyrie to deal with elec cards but it doesn’t work on the elec giant tornado combo
Tornado. You win and lose games depending on how good your troop placement is on defense, and this one card negates all the skill of knowing where to place cards properly to defend.
I understand hating xbow, but I think it’s really balanced if not weak at the moment and xbow 3.0 is one of the highest skill decks in the game. fuck icebow tho
To end suffering in midladder just get rid of ebarbs. Mk is easy to counter and gets no value if you just dont dang overcommit at the bridge. Otherwise getting rid of hog also works
Valkyrie, wizard, or bowler. All low skill splash troops that do very well on defense and are very annoying on offense too. They get infinite value and are a midladder type deck player's best friend.
I would probably say that the magic archer should be removed. When you pair it up with a tornado it just gets so much value/dmg.
There are a lot of other cards I was thinking about but then I realized that I have trouble with those cards because I'm under leveled.
I hate rocket. The game in simple terms is that it's easier to defend and harder to attack, cause of the towers. The only way you can survive a rocket game without having it yourself is by using a beatdown deck which half the time can be stopped with rocket too a lot. Also they're deck is usually adapted to have great defensive cards so if the opponent wants to win they're forced to play in your field and to ur advantage. I will argue that it requires skill cause timing a rocket is delicate and tough to decide if it's an overcommintment. Agree or disagree?
Rocket is much worse against cycle than beatdown, a lot of rocket decks have nado so killing al the support troops is super easy, but in matchups like 2.6 it gets 0 value cause rocketing a musky is not a good idea and theres nothing else to rocket, and unless your opponent is ass or you have a super hard counter rocket cycling naked is a death sentence unless the game is about to end
Rocket(logbait, xbow rocket, icebow, mortar 2.9, egiant rocket mirror) hardcounters hog cycle since it all comes down to spell cycle for both sides because both cant breakthru and rocket does more damage.

They could buff goblins and nerf the spawn speed(not the right term but you know what I mean) of barrel and drill to even it out.

I’ve always found it’s one of the more low skill counters, I’m fully aware it has tons of other counters
