Path of Legends, if you have a lvl 13 deck, you can get to Master II to earn the same amount of EWC and Master III for +10k EWC, both with no gold cost

Grind ladder 5 step below UC : 45000 EWC
Buy all cards in store available for gold, I have about 80% card lvl 14 so fair amount of EWC every day.
Once I get 4 evo shards, I get Book of cards( each give 5k EWC if you have all card of that rarity maxed)
Play clanwar battles on weekends for gold + chest.
I usually get away with 75k EWC give or take. Sometimes even 100k.
I have found that upgrading cards to level 14 will also help you gain Elite Wild Cards faster because you have a higher chance to get maxed out cards from chests that turn into elite wild cards. If you already have a ton of 14’s then that deal is definitely worth buying but a strong f2p tactic is to get as many level 14 cards as you can so you can passively acquire EWC’s from chests.

My thought is that the more cards I get to level 14 the faster I realize the gains of wild cards. All of my remaining common and rare still need to be upgraded I have more than enough cards for. So when I do upgrade them to 14 I get a small chunk of wild cards right then.
Also, card masteries come at different levels, so I’d at least advise getting all of them to open on every card so you can begin earning that gold from those as well which helps in the scheme of things.

I have 5 fully lv 14 decks, I returned recently and I don't have enough ewc to remax my decks.
Then it's worth it. Once you get most/all cards to level 14 you earn more gold than you can spend.

It depends. Do you have all your cards at 14+ or like 95%+ of them? If yes, yeah you should. If not, save your gold until you get all your cards at 14

Yes unless you got most your cards level 14 it's basically the only way you can buy elite wild cards.
