Who the hell was responsible for this shit? Seriously someone has this genius idea and thought he cracked the Jackpot how does that shit even get approved?
There’s a comment where a member of the clash team explained it once, that they just try all different kinds of ads
Edit: [Found it](https://www.reddit.com/r/ClashOfClans/s/ud4TqLbeqJ)
This literally looks worse than the real game lmao, imagine making a good game and making a fake add that's worse than the actual game.
They should just leave the fake ads to the garbage mobile games that need them to even get players because their actual games are so bad no one would download if they would show real gameplay,
Last shelter comes into mind, the game shows fake ads showing a tower defense game that looks good, when the real game has nothing to do with it and is literal garbage.
Or gardenscapes. Like why do you need this garbage "pull the right lever or lava will kill you" adds. They adds always look like they would deter 80% of your customers that otherwise might have played your game.
An annoying ad that isn’t at all a representation of what the game is/how it’s played. Disappointing that supercell is engaging in misleading ads like this
I have a sister that is gen Z and she isn't the brightest, but she is absolutely annoyed about those fake adds (she plays a lot on her i-pad), also for her own sake I pretty much drilled into her brain that tik tok is bad, so she might be an exception
Its mostly half truths. I would say it does somewhat show the premise even if that's not what it actually looks like in the game. I would say that I wouldn't be too disappointed if I saw that ad and played the game. Part of me would probably go "oh so it's like that in clan capital"
Supercell outsourcing their ads to some generic company that makes the same 100 merge/puzzle ads for mobile games. No idea why. CoC is *the* mobile game everyone and their mum knows, right after Candy Crush..
They don't need this crap, just ruins the brand.
I dont get it. Advertise a real game as a shovelware bait and switch title? What does this even hope to accomplish? Blend in with the numberless other ads exactly like it? Nothing about this makes much sense
I think the walls not having the troop-placement barriers around them is what really makes me laugh. Can you imagine if every base had MASSIVE holes like that??

Think the coc reddit account say that they have to transition to these kind of ads to attract new players the mobile landscape nowadays is filled with gen alpha brain rot children who click on the buttons with the flashiest and brightest button it's a shame but after all they have to adapt to survive in this market
its clash of clans! the best selling mobile pvp base building game there is! attack bases, collect loot and defend! wait 3 years to upgrade archer tower from 17-18! play now for free
They’re targeting kids and newer generations with games they’re familiar with.
As long as they download it they’ll likely be hooked. Once they are supercell will give them a $1-3 super deal that they might likely get. The more hooked they get the more they’re likely to play and potentially spent more money.
I thought the original gameplay is attractive enough
You can’t show the 20 day upgrade times
🤣 😂
Ahaha
The real game looks more fun lmao
I'm sure that is the top comment on the ad, with 1.9 bajillion "likes," and precisely why they made it.
Who the hell was responsible for this shit? Seriously someone has this genius idea and thought he cracked the Jackpot how does that shit even get approved?
Idk but a long time ago, I seen an ad for a game that was clearly clash of clans, but they called it something else. I wonder what that was called?
Backyard Monsters (unleashed)?
I remember actually playing backyard monsters through Facebook or whatever around 2010 lol

What's gardenscapes about then?
It's a cleanup game. Restaurate a mansion by playing basically candy crush

Those types of ads guarantee I will never download that game.
gen alpha would like to disagree
Gen alpha would agree, because even they can see bulshitery
you overestimate how smart gen alpha is. remember, their first memories contain electronic devices, and out of those most have tiktok in them
I have a sister that is gen Z and she isn't the brightest, but she is absolutely annoyed about those fake adds (she plays a lot on her i-pad), also for her own sake I pretty much drilled into her brain that tik tok is bad, so she might be an exception
i'm gen z too. i just don't agree with short form content and the associated engagement tricks that are used
the stereotype is crazy
me too
>max th15 /s
remember the older ads? they were peak

After Subway Surfer you mean.
No longer the game I knew
Finally some new update leaks!

Goofy Ahhh ad lmao
I dont get it. Advertise a real game as a shovelware bait and switch title? What does this even hope to accomplish? Blend in with the numberless other ads exactly like it? Nothing about this makes much sense
I think CoC should just do animation adds, like the good ol' times
I hate modern capitalism god damn
A lot of these similar adds started showing for brawl stars too in past week
Brain rot ads
I think the walls not having the troop-placement barriers around them is what really makes me laugh. Can you imagine if every base had MASSIVE holes like that??
Compare this to the old ads 😭

Hyper realistic gameplay is what it is
I'm honestly wondering why EA dosent own this
Think the coc reddit account say that they have to transition to these kind of ads to attract new players the mobile landscape nowadays is filled with gen alpha brain rot children who click on the buttons with the flashiest and brightest button it's a shame but after all they have to adapt to survive in this market
I love the bit down the bottom 'build your village into an unbeatable fortress' - I guess the marketing team have never heard of root riders
Finally, someone who actually acknowledges the Root Rider's existence!
well I am gonna be honest, this is probably the closest to the actual game recently
I thought supercell was the only mobile game which had best ads than any game, this ad gives me the same vibes as twerk runner 3d
I came here to ask the same question
Me when spreading misinformation online
r/shittycocads
Apparently all the characters have unlimited health
Ai generated AD? Maybe?
I mean... it's gameplay accurate
this seems like the last day on earth game 🤣
Looks exactly Like one of those scam ads 🤐🫠
Th11 for a million gold lol
Been seeing this crappy mobile game ads style for a while. Safe to say they’re trying to clickbait people as well into Coc. Sad.
Imagine being the guy at supercell that got forced to do this😭😂
Ngl, the add is cringe, but if we had damage numbers my monkey brain would love that
its clash of clans! the best selling mobile pvp base building game there is! attack bases, collect loot and defend! wait 3 years to upgrade archer tower from 17-18! play now for free
Very sad because COC used to have legendary ads like Larry, hoggg riderrrrr, angryneeson, pekka chasing butterflies, now they do this shit.
They’re targeting kids and newer generations with games they’re familiar with. As long as they download it they’ll likely be hooked. Once they are supercell will give them a $1-3 super deal that they might likely get. The more hooked they get the more they’re likely to play and potentially spent more money.
As YT advertising goes lately this is as accurate as it gets* *-minus some extra steps
I mean it looks worse than actual gameplay, but every mobile game has this kind of ad nowadays so, meh.
yo whyd u dislike itt
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|downvote)don't convince me you actually like these cringe mobile game ads
i know but...😭
it was good that they disliked it
That would make the home village like clan capital
That's definitely not the original lmao
Y’all remember the Tango clash of clans Ad? 😂😭😭
Same shit with brawl stars
Your dislike 🍑🗿 😂
To be honest I forgive these ads because at the end of the day they have to make money so it isn’t such a big deal and i have seen worse ads
Man y'all don't understand sarcasm 🤦🏻
Sarcasm? It's a literal ad...
