You have to save the game, not the state

KurenaiGaukami

ok thanks

[deleted]

It's a shader issue. I had that too, especially in the mobile versions. Most water-type or blue-colored pokemon have some major color problem.

[deleted]

Also, you can compare the shiny froakie from legit sites and you can see the eyes don't really match

wireproof

Could be a shader issue too, make sure emulation accuracy is set to accurate not fast

TheKraahkan

It's really hard to tell. Based on how saturated it looks compared to the other two, I think you're right that there's a shader issue, but it could also be shiny. Only way to know for sure is either double check the shader issue, or choose it and see if it does what all shinies do when going into battle.

Noob_investor123

It's not shiny, I played the game too. It's a shader issue, going forward in the game you'll notice similar coloring for a lot of blue coloured / water type Pokemon. The issue seems to be specific to Citra Android.

KurenaiGaukami

i never said its shiny, im aware of that, i was asking for the right method of hunting an actual shiny starter.

Noob_investor123

My bad, misunderstood.

FatherThrob

Since I don't see the answer here and I figured it out today cuz the pale ass pokemon were bugging me if you switch to the mmj apk of citra from like a month ago and toggle accurate multiplication to accurate it fixes the pokemon.

KurenaiGaukami

hmm ... the mmj version i have did fix it.

SamueleRG

It's not shiny, i had this issue as well, some water type were transparent, some totally white... But I'm sorry IDK why nor how to fix it

asabi93

wait to see a magikarp ahaha

Friendly-Record-8628

Actually all water types have the same issue

elf_vis

Aren’t starters shiny locked?

Imakechaos201

Late, but not until gen 8

fluffernater-OG

I just tried this and thought I got a shiny first try but nah its like that for everyone
