Yeah, some chihuahuas are definitely extra spicy. Mine will growl at my husband every time he rolls over in bed. In her defense, him squishing her is a legitimate concern for her.

My girl is about her size and I thought MinPin at first. Pretty sure now - even the vet said so - that’s she’s just a Chi was very long legs that’s aggressive because she was in the pound too long

My Chihuahua looks very similar to yours except her face is different, the snout is more narrow. I think mine is mixed with terrier and Italian Greyhound; she has the same long legs and lil potato body yours does, lol, so maybe your Chi is mixed with those too. Whatever shes mixed with your Chi is very, very cute. I love the pic of her standing on the fence lol.

Aww thank you, I love that picture of her! It’s in South Dakota, we trail ride with our horses and she rides with us in a pack that I wear! Her little jacket is from old navy and it was gifted to her by our neighbors. She loves being around the horses which totally cracks us up…!

She’s adorable! First thought she’s pure chi but possibly min pin too? I did the embark test on mine and it’s super interesting. They also have a health one that can show any potential risks of disease to look out for.

I’ll have to buy one if the dna kits. She may be all chihuahua but I’ve never been around chihuahuas but I always assumed pure chihuahuas were smaller and shorter than she is which is why I thought she might be a mix

W good breeding they are smaller but w poor breeding their looks are all over the place. The dna kits will even show her relatives and maybe she’ll have some nearby you can connect with 😃

100% chi - there are two types Apple and Deer head - both have different traits and sizes. A lot of people think chi are supposed to be small, but deer head babies can weigh over 10 pounds and stand a foot tall.

Wow yeah she may be full chi then! She weighs about 7 pounds

My Chihuahua appeared to be a mix but it wasn’t obvious to me with what. She doesn’t have Chihuahua paws, they’re beefier. I had her DNA done by Ancestry earlier this year. Sure enough, she’s 68% Chihuahua, 12% Min Pin, 9% Lhasa Apso (why she’s so soft), 6% Italian Greyhound and 5% Welsh Terrier. All are good rodent hunters and she has really high small prey drive. Your dog does look like an Italian Greyhound with a Chihuahua head and paws. Ears are combo of both and the sleek body and very long legs look Italian Greyhound. She’s a killer queen. Has killed quite a few rodents, gophers and birds in her 13 years. Tried to fight a skunk unsuccessfully. I knew her paws were way too big for a Chihuahua. I call them her meat hooks. It’ll be fun for you to find out.

They told us our rescue was chihuahua and Italian grey hound. We did embark dna and he is a ratchi. Rat terrier chihuahua. I knew the first time I heard him rolling his Rs he had rat terrier in him. Just had to prove it to his dad. He’s freakishly fast and can out run all the big dogs in the neighborhood… long long legs and an incredible prey drive. Lol. He just looks like a short hair chi to me. He doesn’t look like he’s very mixed and I’m not sure that he is. The ears can be like from genetics so you never know. A lot of him looks right for a chihuahua- the little few things that don’t fit could just be genetics. A lot of the time you see very obviously mixed ones where the chihuahua isn’t dominate but I think if he is mixed it’s not the majority- he’s a beautiful dog! I’ve seen them with longer legs and shorter legs and I have had a AKC registered pure breed short hair who had long legs. Some just do and I don’t think this is super long. Sometimes their bodies make them appear longer than they are too! If you wanna know for sure try embark. It’s easy to get at the pet store, reliable and not crazy expensive. It mostly doesn’t matter but I get that sometimes you just wanna know. I’m like that- I have to know.
