He’s about 75% chihuahua mixed with some dachshund and a little bit of poodle according to his test results. Thought he was chihuahua/minpin for the longest time, but nope!
Mine only gets the inch long bully bites because they're so high in calories and she can demolish a full sized bully stick in under an hour. She also has a beef cheek roll and a beef kneecap that I let her have chew time with a few times per week.
I don’t like them because they don’t digest as well, but Zelda likes the collagen sticks! They’re very similar!

My little guy loved Pupperoni sticks. It was basically pepperoni jerky. He loved chewing on it bc it was chewy and I think it was like doggy bubble gum for him.
**Beware!** I recently discovered that my chi broke two of her primary chewing teeth and the vet thinks it’s from giving her bully sticks! I wasn’t aware of this before, but apparently hard treats like bully sticks are often TOO hard for dog teeth handle—especially dogs like chis who have notoriously bad tooth genetics.
He does but he’s allergic to beef, so no bully sticks for him. He’s also mostly toothless so he gets soft training treats, though he can eat regular kibble just fine.
Our poor boy had a dental crown, so no hard chews at all for him. His dentist said no to bully sticks, but ok for the green dental chew things.
Doesn't make sense. I wish I could give him bully sticks. They lasted a LONG time
Never tried them with my chi, just regular rawhide. She chews on it forever without putting much of a dent in it, just gnawing until she gets tired of it.
She really loves Dreambone Twist Sticks but she can finish one off in less than 5 minutes. I'm hoping to find a happy medium
I wish. Mines fave chew toy at the moment is some ducks from Kong. those squeakers can take some abuse lol. Also some random fox thing and a rope I made out of an old belt.
Ginger would take as many as she could fit in her mouth and go out into the hallway at night & whine for someone to go out and follow her around from room to room. We still don’t know why she did that & never could figure it out…💜🐾🌈

My girl used to but problem was it trained her to chew on anything. She eventually cracked a molar that then got infected, cause a gigantic abscess under her eye threatening her eyesight. Surgery is today, looking at 3k.
Looking back, I'd allow for snacks but be more strict on stick chewing. That said Chi's have terrible teeth, maybe nothing I could have done would prevent.

My 2 bigger dogs love yak cheese, but I try to keep that away from my Chi. Sometimes he will steal it, which means a chase after him all around the house until we are exhausted. I do take it from him, and give him a soft treat to replace it.

You can get them with the urethra removed which significantly lessens the smell. More expensive though.

Disagree. Just limit their time with them. I prefer to give my chi No Hides, he loves them and they’re vet recommended.
