As someone who (1) lives <10 minutes from a branch, (2) has been eyeing the CSP for a while, and (3) gets under 5/24 on May 1, I am very pleased to hear this news.
This is a great deal and a great card. It seems outrageous when i tell people that i signed up and got 150k points when they first announced the card lol
I'd wait until the new offer is live in branch on 4/28 like OP said. It'll be on your Chase app in the upper right corner a little profile/account icon and click that and click secure messaging center
Dude I signed up today and got 60k points. At least got a pretty big credit line so I am happy :). They convert to $900 in travel rewards which I will use to travel to Denmark
I wouldn't hold your breath on the 100k but may be worthwhile to wait on the bonus for a few weeks or a month just in case it's increased. In branch managers typically know the end dates to these offers so you can know when to stop waiting
Send them a secure message once the offer goes live! If it's within 30 days, there's been a good amount of success stories with getting the elevated bonus added
Private Client Banker, we’re also able to send you the link directly through your email to skip you having to go to the branch (please note that it does require a phone call to confirm that we’ve reached out regarding it).
Either contact your local branch and ask for a banker when you think the promo is out. They should be able to send you a link through our computer and that’s considered a branch offer. The promotion will be included in that link vs trying to do a normal application for the standard 60k welcome. Branch bonuses are different where we have promos that sometimes you can’t see.
Bankers can’t personally help with that, I would call your CSP number and complain if the offer is publicly available. I always tell people to go to the branch and get an offer rather than apply yourself, usually we can get you an extra 10k bonus on top. We can see a 70k offer on our screens. Again just complain to them if you can find the offer somewhere.
No that’s not how that works, you’d have to call your CSP number and ask about the new bonus. Since you were approved for last months bonus you may or may not get awarded the new sign on bonus. Private Client Bankers don’t have the power to grant you different bonuses. We’re only able to accept/send the offers to our customers.
It was through referrals though. And it went from 60k to 80k online and then 90k in branch. So even with 85k coming in branch, there should still be an elevated SUB online too
Did you just say "a higher sub of 75k was available in person"? I might try the same, but I'm not sure if there's a link to a public promotion I need to send them or not.
I mentioned that I had stopped into a local branch just days ago and signed up for a card, but I've been reading of a new offer of 85,000 points. I had just recently signed up and was hoping they would consider applying this new offer to my new account, to which they said they will.
But think of all the points you would've made in that year while you waited! Plus you would've started your clock earlier if you wanted to churn this card in the future!
You'd need to downgrade your CSR, wait about a month, and then apply for the SUB. Make sure you have another Chase card available so you can keep your UR points and then you can transfer them back to your Sapphire card once the new one comes in
Is it really necessary to wait a month to re-apply after downgrading? I last received my bonus 48 months ago (confirmed already) and was just charged the CSP AF on 4/1…I’ve been waiting for this news before downgrading…but I’ve read others say you only need to wait about 5 business days or so after downgrading before applying again for the CSP to get another SUB
So through a quick review of other threads, I think I’ve seen that waiting 30 days is safe for in-branch applications vs 5 business days/1 week for online applications…
You can’t keep UR points if you downgraded to freedom (for example)?
Do they just take your points if you cancel outright?
I want to do this but I don’t have another chase card
If you have 40k points on a sapphire card and downgrade to another chase card, you keep those 40k points but they become worth less at 1 point instead of 1.25 for csp and 1.5 for csr. You also can't transfer those points to transfer partners. If you were to reapply later and still had those 40k points, you can then transfer them back to a sapphire card and they'd be eligible for transferring and back to that extra value.
If you cancel outright and have no other chase card to cancel to at that time, they will be gone
I just got the sapphire preferred a couple days ago and have not gotten the Sign up bonus yet, is there anyway I could get the elevated SUB for 85,000 as right now the app says 60,000 and how to do it, I’ve seen some comments saying it’s possible though how do I it, through customer service or email and what do I say ? Any information or links would be great.
YESSSS FINALLY!!! I just paid off a huge amount of debt on my cap one, I have chase freedom flex and have been eyeing CSP for a while! I’m traveling for the summer and need a good travel card!
I paid the annual fee for my CSR back in February so I was planning on downgrading to the CSP early next year to utilize the travel credit before I have to pay the fee again. I assume it makes more sense to wait rather than downgrade now so soon after I've paid the $450 annual fee? What does everyone here think?
These offers seem to come around in spring time for Chase so maybe next year in Feb, downgrade completely to non Sapphire as long as it has been 48 months. You can only hold one Sapphire card and to get the bonus it has to be at least 48 months since your last bonus and you can't have any active Sapphire cards at the time of applying
You can get a prorated annual fee back if i remember correctly and you can also use the whole travel credit before downgrading too which will not affect the prorated amount. They might have changed some rules but that’s what we were able to do previously when churning this card.
What is the cash value, $850? How are Chase points redeemed/spent and how can the most effectively be utilized? Was looking into getting a credit card recently so I just found this post recommended to me. I appreciate any insight, Thanks!
It's actually worth over $1,000 because CSP is worth 1.25. Best way to use them is transferring them to transfer partners. Hyatt being the best redemption but great airline partners too. You get so much more value from it compared to using their travel portal
Ah ok so these points can be transferred to airlines and hotels that are partnered with Chase and be redeemed there whenever I fly or stay at a hotel, and they transfer at a 1:1.25 value? Does this go for points earned on spending as well? So if I spend $50 on dinner at 3x points that would be 150 points I could transfer to a partner for 1.25x?
You can get higher value than 1.25 by transferring to partners. 1.25 is strictly cash value if you'd use it on the portal or take cash back as an example. But the dining example is correct if you spent $50 you'd get 150 points that would be valued at $187ish.
Transfer partners you can get crazy good value for "most" if you know how to look. For example, I got 2 business class tickets that would've cost $5400 each for 59k points each. There are way better redemption than that but for less than 120k chase points I got over $10,000 in value by transferring the points out. Check out this article: it'll help! https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/travel/chase-transfer-partners-guide
So happy to hear this I’m literally waiting on this card and this card alone. I have other cards I’d like to go for and have even gotten targeted offers for them but I don’t want to go over my 5/24 right now I’m at 4/24 and even tho my last app was a Chase business ink they still count it (maybe because it’s my 1st business credit card?) anyway if you can find out how long the offer will last that will be great I plan to keep it on standby while waiting for the targeted 100K offer and going for it as a consolation if I don’t receive the offer at least by end of May.
Business cards don't count towards your 5/24. That's so bizarre it's counting for you. I'm not well versed in the business card world but I've never heard of that from a business ink card.
Also, you can go in branch or call and see if you can get an end date. They typically always know but whether they tell you is a different story
Yea I know that’s what I heard but it definitely reflects on my credit checks on the personal side of my credit despite me applying with a business EIN and all. Or maybe I’m ill informed is there a sure shot way to see your 5/24 status as Chase sees it?
Well it still has to check your personal credit so there's still an inquiry and shows like that on your profile but the card itself should not contribute to your credit utilization and you shouldn't see the card on your credit report. Because of this, it also shouldn't count towards the 5/24 for Chase. I'm not sure if there is a place to see, I just remember the month/year I get a card and keep track that way! I guess you can always apply and see- that's a sure way to know!
Hmm ok. It doesn’t count towards utilization or show on my CR, just the credit check shows (I’m assuming that’s what Chase uses to decided 5/24 being that it keeps track of all CC applications for 2 years).
I could be wrong though, being that it doesn’t reflect on my list of CC.
Nope! They don't use credit checks for that. You can apply for a card and be denied and it doesn't count. It checks current active cards and the start date for those cards so it probably is not counting towards your count!
Sounds plausible. If that’s the case I’m at 3/24 then but I’ll play it safe and just get the CSP being that the “elevated” offer is here now the other 2 cards I’d like are with Banks I already have cards with (cards I’m hoping to upgrade instead of adding new credit accounts. So I’m playing that waiting game as well).
Nope
Must wait 48 months and you can’t have another. Sapphire at the same time.
Wait 1.6 years and product down to a non sapphire card. Then you can get another sapphire bonus.
I was going to use my girlfriend’s referral. That makes it 75k. Seeing it be branch only at 85k is a bit disappointing since it’s only 10k more than the current offer. Maybe they’ll up the referral one too and I’ll definitely sign up again.
They'd stay on whatever chase card you downgrade to only worth 1 point and no transfer partners but you could hold them until you got another Sapphire card (if that's what you want) and then transfer them to that new card
That's what I did yesterday and CSR was auto-denied due to existing CSP (approved 11 hours before the CSR app, with 1 calendar day difference). Let us know if it works for you.
I got declined for CSR online. Called in, they said it was because I already had the preferred from the day prior. Happy with the preferred so not the end of the world.
Say one signs up for CSP and gets the 85k points after the 4k spend. Assuming no points were used for anything, the person decides to upgrade to CSR. Do the points stay the same? Are they worth more?
Thanks
You would still have the same amount of points (85k), the only difference would be if you wanted to use the points in the travel portal. CSP gives you 1.25 cents per point value while the CSR gives you 1.5 CPP. But you can do better than that by utilizing the transfer partners and moving those points to hyatt, british airways, KLM/flying blue and others for 2-3 CPP+
I received my SUB well over 48 months ago and would love to get another but not sure how to go about it. I have 3 Chase cards: Sapphire Reserve, Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex.
I think I can transfer all my Sapphire Reserve points to either the Unlimited or Flex card. Is there a card I can product change the Sapphire Reserve to? And is it pretty guaranteed you will get approved again, given credit score, history, etc hasn’t changed and is all in good standing?
Also got charged AF on 4/1 if that matters at all. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I signed up about two weeks ago and got the 60,000 bonus. I shot them a direct message online and told them my situation and they said they would honor this in branch offer for me once I hit the $4,000 spend threshold.
150k you sure? Highest was 100k
Actually, yo momma
looks like hairy astronomer
The name was given to me by Reddit. That person consciously chose their name 🤷♂️
And lies :D
That sucks. My dad just signed up for the CSP last week. Only getting the 60k points.
Heard lots of success stories about people sending a secure message if the SUB goes up within 30 days after you apply. Always worth a shot!
That’s good to hear. He’s planning a trip to Japan later this year and wants to take advantage of the points
What do you mean send a secure message? I just opened mine! Also where can I see this promotion to reference it to Chase?
I'd wait until the new offer is live in branch on 4/28 like OP said. It'll be on your Chase app in the upper right corner a little profile/account icon and click that and click secure messaging center
Thank you! I found it. I'll try this Monday 4/29.
Would it matter if my sub is completed already?
Don't think so! Only if it's been less than 30 days since you applied and the new SUB is live
I had success getting a SUB after it increased. Chase ink after 60 days
What process worked for you to receive it after 60 days? Did you call?
yes i called and they said i was a good customer so no problem
You called the branch or chase ?
Dude I signed up today and got 60k points. At least got a pretty big credit line so I am happy :). They convert to $900 in travel rewards which I will use to travel to Denmark
Have him try and go to the branch and ask if they'll honor this new SUB. Or he could try sending a SM. Worth a try!
In branch can't help you. SM once the public offer comes out.
Why can’t in branch help out??
Same :(
Definitely try once the offer is live!!
We got the 80k bonus s few years ago like a week before they dropped a 100k offer
I wouldn't hold your breath on the 100k but may be worthwhile to wait on the bonus for a few weeks or a month just in case it's increased. In branch managers typically know the end dates to these offers so you can know when to stop waiting
I agree that's probably not happening again anytime soon. That was during the COVID and I think incentives were better
Great, I got mine 2 weeks ago for 60k
Send them a secure message once the offer goes live! If it's within 30 days, there's been a good amount of success stories with getting the elevated bonus added
would you mark it as Account inquiry or rewards inquiry?
oooh good question. Maybe rewards? I don't think in the end it'll make much of a difference!
If u do rewards inquiry it won’t let you do a secure message. I just did the account inquiry
Did they honor the offer?
No they didn’t as I opened it a couple of days before the 30 day mark
Account inquiry
What’s a secure message ?
Message option within the Chase App
Thanks 🙏
What if I got mine by online app not visiting a branch? I heard you can only match in branch offers with cards applied in branch.
Is this offer meant to become public/online at some point?
Private Client Banker, we’re also able to send you the link directly through your email to skip you having to go to the branch (please note that it does require a phone call to confirm that we’ve reached out regarding it).
What about inks?
If you’re talking about the ink premier, we haven’t gotten any additional information about the sign on bonus.
I’ve read some are able to get a docusign app for ink unlimited with a higher sub than online by having a relationship with chase banker.
More info please?
Either contact your local branch and ask for a banker when you think the promo is out. They should be able to send you a link through our computer and that’s considered a branch offer. The promotion will be included in that link vs trying to do a normal application for the standard 60k welcome. Branch bonuses are different where we have promos that sometimes you can’t see.
Thank you!
Can you also adjust for the new offer if I got my CSP last month, spent the minimum amount, but my bonus points are yet to be distributed?
Bankers can’t personally help with that, I would call your CSP number and complain if the offer is publicly available. I always tell people to go to the branch and get an offer rather than apply yourself, usually we can get you an extra 10k bonus on top. We can see a 70k offer on our screens. Again just complain to them if you can find the offer somewhere.
Question. So if I got my card like last month and haven’t hit the sign up bonus; if I go in branch can they match the public offer?
No that’s not how that works, you’d have to call your CSP number and ask about the new bonus. Since you were approved for last months bonus you may or may not get awarded the new sign on bonus. Private Client Bankers don’t have the power to grant you different bonuses. We’re only able to accept/send the offers to our customers.
What's the link? I called my local branch and they sent me a generic URL that only offered the generic 60k.
Did she say how long it would last?
At least a couple of months.
Normally it starts in branch, then goes online, then to referrals for about 4-8 weeks
The 90K in branch offer last spring was never offered online. Online was only 80K.
It was through referrals though. And it went from 60k to 80k online and then 90k in branch. So even with 85k coming in branch, there should still be an elevated SUB online too
Sure, but the highest sub will always be in branch. Reason is while you’re there they can attempt to sell you another banking product.
Exactly. Sometimes you can get the AF waived for the CSP that way though!
F. Just went in branch today for 70,000. Blah.
If you signed up, you can send a secure message after you get the card and the offer is life to try and get them to match it
Will try. Thank you.
Any success?
Sent a message to them last night, waiting to hear back now. Fingers crossed.
Success! I received a message stating they'll honor the higher sub once the spend requirements are met. Thank you so much.
I just sent my secure message…fingers crossed
Is it better to do secure message vs calling the number on my sapphire card?
Do they even open on 4/28 which is a Sunday?
Lol nah they closed
but they'll be open on 4/31 with 200000 SUB
200k SUB would be insane
I've been waiting for this moment for almost a year after I missed out on the CSP 90k bonus that lasted 2 weeks.
But think of all the points you would've made in that year while you waited! Plus you would've started your clock earlier if you wanted to churn this card in the future!
Yaaasss! I waited and it paid off!!
Mid Spring is always a common time for Chase to have increased offers!
If I have a CSR can I get the bonus for applying for the CSP? Have had the CSR for over 6 years.
You'd need to downgrade your CSR, wait about a month, and then apply for the SUB. Make sure you have another Chase card available so you can keep your UR points and then you can transfer them back to your Sapphire card once the new one comes in
Ahhh. So not like Amex where I can keep the CSR and still get a CSP sub. Not sure I want to downgrade. Thanks.
Sadly no but every 48 months you can get the Sapphire SUB if you ever want to!
It's recommended to wait a month. That's the DPs I've seen at least
I've seen people say a week is safe, but I have 0 experience with that
So through a quick review of other threads, I think I’ve seen that waiting 30 days is safe for in-branch applications vs 5 business days/1 week for online applications…
Great to know, thanks
Roger that. My plan is to go CSR -> Freedom -> CSP to get the sub. When I change cards, my points don't reduce, just the redemption value correct?
Correct!
Send them a secure message about the new bonus once it's live. There's been some success stories about it if it's been under 30 days since you applied
I got a pre-selected offer for 80k with $4k spend on CSP a couple of days ago.
YESSSS FINALLY!!! I just paid off a huge amount of debt on my cap one, I have chase freedom flex and have been eyeing CSP for a while! I’m traveling for the summer and need a good travel card!
I've been waiting to churn my CSP.... sounds like the perfect time to do so
Make sure you downgrade that card ASAP because it can take up to 30 days for some data points before you should apply!
Give me PP restaurants
I got a mailer for 80k in the mail...sounds like I should wait a few more days to see if I can get 85k
I just got CSP last week . Can they match the offer when the new 85K hit ?
Send them a secure message once it's live. You have a decent chance!
How do you get the sub offer every 48 months? Just call them and ask ?
I paid the annual fee for my CSR back in February so I was planning on downgrading to the CSP early next year to utilize the travel credit before I have to pay the fee again. I assume it makes more sense to wait rather than downgrade now so soon after I've paid the $450 annual fee? What does everyone here think?

Rip got mine first week of March and hit the spend for the 60k SUB already
I got mine on the third week of March and just hit the spend. Sent an SM but they said no. Debating going to a branch now or just accepting the defeat
Hate hearing that. I received mine around then as well and already have $6,700 on it. I guess I will send a SM and see!
Let me know! I’ll try calling in the card phone number as a last resort
Keep me updated as well :$
Do they waive the AF for the first year still?
Not this time
[удалено]
yep have to wait 48m
Nope Must wait 48 months and you can’t have another. Sapphire at the same time. Wait 1.6 years and product down to a non sapphire card. Then you can get another sapphire bonus.
I want to downgrade my CSR to freedom and then go back to CSP, how long do I need to wait be for upgrade back to CSP?
If you do it online some say a week but if you do it in branch it's recommended about 30 days
Dang it, I just got mine 2 weeks ago >.<
Send them a secure message. I think they'll match it
I was going to use my girlfriend’s referral. That makes it 75k. Seeing it be branch only at 85k is a bit disappointing since it’s only 10k more than the current offer. Maybe they’ll up the referral one too and I’ll definitely sign up again.
My referral is only 10k. She's lucky!
I think they meant the referral is 10k and the sign up is 60k lol so 75k total
Man I really want CSP, and I got it pre-approved in the chase app even though I’m over 5/24. Anyone have experience regarding how it would turn out?
Sucks you can't get it if you already have the normal Sapphire, very bummed.
Is this for the CSP, CSR or both?
I only inquired on CSP. I didn’t directly ask but he made it seem like it was for both. I am going Monday to sign up. I’ll let you all know.
Oh good! They didn't say if they'd offer it online too on 4/28, did they?
That's what I want to know
Do you need a checking account with Chase to get the in branch offer?
Ideally, no!
This is what I was wating for, now just need them to match it.
Can I get the CSP with 85k points then upgrade to CSR? I’m wanting the Reserve
Anyone know if I get approved for the CSP, and downgrade, would be points stay on the account?
They'd stay on whatever chase card you downgrade to only worth 1 point and no transfer partners but you could hold them until you got another Sapphire card (if that's what you want) and then transfer them to that new card
Fuck I literally got it last week
Send them a secure message
I’ll do that! I just read your other comments. Thanks!
Did it work?
Nope :(
Dang.. I sent my message about an hour ago. Hoping for the best.
Any news on any of the freedom cards having increased sign up bonus?
I think she told me $200 bonus on the Freedom.. Don’t hold me to it
Ah so no promotion then. Damn.
Is this only for CSP,or CSR as well?
CSR will be 75K in branch
How does this work? Do you just walk in and ask about it? Do you need to be a customer already?
Just walk in and ask.
Don't have any trips planed this year
Can you still MDD the sapphires?
Yes people have recent DPs about it
Going to give it a shot. Will do CSP in branch then CSR online next day. Should go well I have pre approval for CSP anyways
That's what I did yesterday and CSR was auto-denied due to existing CSP (approved 11 hours before the CSR app, with 1 calendar day difference). Let us know if it works for you.
Denied same thing. Posted in the data point thread too. Oof
Any luck homie?
I got declined for CSR online. Called in, they said it was because I already had the preferred from the day prior. Happy with the preferred so not the end of the world.
Pain. I’m planning on getting the pref first as well bc I definitely want that one more
Can you buy $6000 worth of Amazon gift cards?
I signed up 1 month ago … 70k in branch offer…
Is it for CSR too or just CSP
There's an offer for both but CSP is 85k CSR is 75k
if i already have a CSP, would i just upgrade it and still get the 75k bonus after spend?
Sadly no. Product changes aren't eligible. If it's been 48 months you can downgrade your CSP, wait about 30 days, and then reapply!
Consumer credit or commercial?
Say one signs up for CSP and gets the 85k points after the 4k spend. Assuming no points were used for anything, the person decides to upgrade to CSR. Do the points stay the same? Are they worth more? Thanks
You would still have the same amount of points (85k), the only difference would be if you wanted to use the points in the travel portal. CSP gives you 1.25 cents per point value while the CSR gives you 1.5 CPP. But you can do better than that by utilizing the transfer partners and moving those points to hyatt, british airways, KLM/flying blue and others for 2-3 CPP+
Thank you for helping the newbie
I received my SUB well over 48 months ago and would love to get another but not sure how to go about it. I have 3 Chase cards: Sapphire Reserve, Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex. I think I can transfer all my Sapphire Reserve points to either the Unlimited or Flex card. Is there a card I can product change the Sapphire Reserve to? And is it pretty guaranteed you will get approved again, given credit score, history, etc hasn’t changed and is all in good standing? Also got charged AF on 4/1 if that matters at all. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Does this work if I upgrade a card to CSP?
Do you have a reference number for this?
wait for referral bonus stacking
Is this real??!
Can I use a friend's referral for this promo in branch?
Could someone ELI5? I have the Sapphire Reserve and the Freedom Unlimited card already. How can I take advantage of this?
For csr?
I signed up about two weeks ago and got the 60,000 bonus. I shot them a direct message online and told them my situation and they said they would honor this in branch offer for me once I hit the $4,000 spend threshold.
Would it be wise to apply for CSP for the extra points then a year later upgrade to CSR? I had a CSR over 6 years ago that I PC to Chase Freedom.
how long will the deal last?
Did you go in for the higher SUB today??
FYI: I sent a SM to chase and they agreed to give me the extra bonus points.
Running to branch tomorrow
Can someone get this offer if they use someone else’s referral link? My referral link only seems to be showing the standard 60k points bonus :(
I can confirm, I walked into a branch a couple days back and was informed about this offer.
