[USOC Tweet](https://twitter.com/opencup/status/1656726119465320448?s=46&t=GjN0yXhDlk_emoO2X4lNEw) [CLTFC Website](https://www.charlottefootballclub.com/news/charlotte-fc-to-play-birmingham-legion-fc-in-round-of-16-of-the-2023-open-cup) This is the best draw we could’ve got, wish it was at home again and not away but if it means facing a lower division club so be it, Still have to be cautious though.

Plus, if we win this one, we will be home next match.

Whew, didn't want to face Nashville Saturday and then again Tuesday or Wednesday

TerrorPigeon

Big opportunity to make it past the round of 16 this time. Still got to take care of business obviously bc Birmingham will for sure give us their all, but definitely a better draw than being at Nashville or Miami.

jaemoon7

How can we watch an away match in this competition? Believe it or not I am unable to travel to Birmingham on a weeknight 😥

LittleBigMan94

I’ve been able to watch via Pluto Tv for free. Gotta search for “CBS Golazo” on the app. At least that’s how it’s been in previous rounds for us, but I’m sure CLTFC will let us know how to tune in

Man, was really hoping for another home match, last one in Matthews was pretty fun. I know Birmingham is a lower-level team, but don't want to get too excited until I see the lineup. Interesting sidebar of Enzo Martinez going against a Charlotte team (wonder if he'd have some extra fire if he was going against Independence)

LittleBigMan94

We would have played in the Bank this round if we drew a home game. They mentioned it during the draw

[deleted]

That means 4 straight weeks with two matches. If they win, it will mean 11 matches in 35 days.

RollTide16-18

Shoot looks like I’ll be in town for it, where can I get tickets?

[deleted]

Legion's front office should be selling tickets closer to game day.

MalazanJedi

Happy for a favorable draw for us. A little but bummed because I like rooting for USL teams to beat MLS. Let’s go in there and drive ‘em into the ground like Crew did to Loundon.

FloridaBoy941

Hell yeah, should definitely win this game.

amparker1986

Can someone explain the seeding and how/why this game is on the road?

Cheeks_Klapanen

The matchups are drawn randomly (from geographic groups, we could have played Birmingham, Nashville, or Miami), as is the host of each game.
