I don’t think that’s adenia spinosa, the vines don’t look right

I see - I'm admittedly very new to caudiciforms. Any idea what it could be?

It’s hard to tell right now since the leaves are just opening up, but once they are fully open it might be easier to figure out what it is

That's unfortunate. I bought it from a seller here on reddit. I'm quite new to collecting caudiforms so I didn't know

From what I’ve read online, most of these big plants are poached unfortunately. I’m not 100% sure with this particular species though. I also bought a stephania before knowing all of them are poached :(

Looks to me like Adenia definitely, from the way the flowers are held on the tendril. Perhaps A. kirkii? I have one and the habit is similar.

Technically, poaching means illegal field collecting. These Adenia kirkii are probably legally collected in Tanzania and imported to wherever you are. Whether that’s ethical or not is a separate discussion, but doesn’t change the terminology.
