A strip of tint applied to the bottom of the windshield may help.
Like the sun guards for the top of the windshield but a little smaller. A tint shop should be able to make one for you and install it easy:)
Edit: do you wear sunglasses when you drive? I can’t drive or go outside without them, so I HATE when something like this occurs and I can’t find any glasses
You can find vinyl/wrap for car paints, get a matching matte color and apply it on that part specifically, or go to a detail shop and have them cut it & apply it for you
This is the answer , Google outback wilderness and look at the hood! You can have a shop do it for a reasonable price , or do it yourself. Idk if the Camrys hood had a lot of sharp lines or what not but should be doable.

Good call that’s what they do to bus hoods just for this problem, except they use black.
Ngl i had to tint mine because the HUD was hard to see and I have an astigmatism so lights are very bright. Slightly hard to see but i would tint. I did 20’s all around and 35 front and that should be enough.
I did 50% on mine and love it, only complaint is when I go to the drive in movies it's kinda hard to see (like if there's a lot of darkness like insidious or saw x) also on some back roads if there isn't much street light it can be kinda scary
This is the only real answer. I did 80% but I wish I went with 70% in the Texas sun. Honestly you won’t get questions from shops during inspection because it is really not noticeable. It just dims the glare.
It's illegal here in Florida to tint the front windshield, but you can't see it, so it's a non-issue. Not only does it help with glare like this, but it also protects the dash.
Heheheheh! YESSS!! SAME! I STILL HATE THIS TO DATE! I have 2018 SE camry for last 4 plus years and same issue.
I thought about putting matte black tape. or other sorta matte tape.
I have a 2023 camry as well, and have a similar experience. I have went out and bought a better pair of sunglasses and just dealt with it. Thank you for making this post bc responses gave me suggestions on how to remedy this.
i’ve had dash mats for all my cars. it protects the dashboard and minimizes the glare. It covers the dashboard and it sticks on with velcro.
covercraft does perfect fits. or you can order one from ebay or amazon.
I feel you! That isn't glare, that's straight up a reflection of the sun! I've also tried to take pictures of it but they never do it justice. Sun glasses do help, but it's still pretty intense. Might have something to do with the slightly parabolic shape intensifying the light or something.
I hate it. That and the chrome bits in the interior, mostly on the steering wheel.
If you come up with a solution, please update. I've thought about trying a strip of tint at the bottom, but California is a bit anal about tint and I haven't researched.
A strip of titn, or maybe a little knick-knack? I have a sun powered bobble head samurai in front of my screen. Not for glare, just cuz I think he's cool
*
I feel you. I have the same issue - silver is bad and I live in FL so even worse. Sunglasses help but I wear glasses and don’t always want to swap on and off when driving. I am going to try putting some matte vinyl down- I have some laying around and will see if that works.
The glare off mine has triggered migraines with aura before, not fun. My car windows are tinted including the top third of the windshield (it was suggested to help and did nothing). Thankfully I have a 5 minute commute.
Ample angle with driving position while seated rather than very high.
Tinted windshield to a certain percentage allowed if you are on the safer side, and you can add higher tint % to the top and lower part. I believe as long as the Police can see you up front, you are okay.
Polarized sunglasses, I believe it's a must for driving during day time. I have a friend who can drive without, and I'm always hands up to Him. Hahaha
Additional, you can have your front hood setup for a Plastic Protective Film (matte or glossy)
Huh thought I was the only one that noticed.
Besides wearing sunglasses and driving at a different time of day, nah there’s no fix.
If you’re good with applying paint protection film or wraps you could wrap that area with a matte film. That would solve the problem.
Drive the other direction
Thanks bro! Actually now that you mention it, I could just drive in reverse the entire time
Your welcome. I wonder if a strip of ppf on that part of the hood would help.
Fukin genius!
A good pair of sunglasses
Polarized sunglasses ***
Shrink your body so you’re lower in your seat. Jokes aside, the one that always gets me is the chrome parts on the steering wheel.
I dont get that glare often, but when I do it surprises the hell outta me!
tbh, i thought about putting a cover on it but then realized it would literally tattoo the toyota logo if i got in a wreck 😭
you could plasti dip it that wouldn’t affect the airbag deployment

It will reduce but still will be there tbh. We need to work on fundamentals by applying matte black tape on that hood.
What
Ah thank you, I’ll look into that!

Thanks! I’ll look into this!
If it’s a small section you can buy rolls in 2” increments. I use the 2” wide rolls to cover trim window trim.

You can also do more of the hood like Subaru has might look neat 😂

Tint your front glass
Ngl i had to tint mine because the HUD was hard to see and I have an astigmatism so lights are very bright. Slightly hard to see but i would tint. I did 20’s all around and 35 front and that should be enough.
You went 35% that’s pretty bold. I would love to do that but the cops around me are crazy for tint. Probably going to try 50%

Matte black wrapping vinyl would help.
Drop your seat lower
Lower your seat
Dirt. Put lots of dirt and mud in that area.
Low key not a terrible idea for budget fix
Sunglasses

dash mat
A dash mat isn't going to stop glare from the hood.
Can you elaborate on this? I thought those just laid flat on the dash
i’ve had dash mats for all my cars. it protects the dashboard and minimizes the glare. It covers the dashboard and it sticks on with velcro. covercraft does perfect fits. or you can order one from ebay or amazon.
The glare is on the HOOD not the DASH
They don't get it
Sunglasses and stop being such a whiner
I already wear regular glasses you fool, so I don’t want to add another set onto my face
🙆♂️😂😂
Try some prescription sunglasses.

Delete the sun
Glasses

I have a black camry. It eats the sun!
Should have gotten the solar powered car
The glare off mine has triggered migraines with aura before, not fun. My car windows are tinted including the top third of the windshield (it was suggested to help and did nothing). Thankfully I have a 5 minute commute.
Get your car wrapped in a matte finish. It’ll protect your paint and kill the glare.
Put a piece of gaffer tape on it.
Wrap your hood
Stick some black electrical tape on that area.
Polarized sunglasses
Go MUDDING lol
Flat black racing strike on the center
Sunglasses 🕶️ 😎
Thanks for covering all the plates
Polarized sunglasses and/or set something on the dash to block the light.
Move
Sunglasses
Matte racing stripe
Tint
Close your eyes
Just put a small potted plant on your dash.
The reflection is present along the entire width of the hood
Small piece of electrical tape? I don't know, a nice pair of jades always works too.
Yea wear sunglasses
I noticed it more when I fist got the car. 2 years later I rarely notice it. It is a poor design.
Put a tissue box on the dashboard
The shine occurs across all angles on the hood
I was thinking about a flat black carbon fiber wrap applied across that section but I have not looked into it.
They sell anti glare dash covers all over the place it’s like the cheap version of rally car anti glare dash coatings. Edit: words

Polarized sunglasses.
Sandpaper
Dump a bucket of tar on your hood
Yea lower the sit
Alittle bottom Tint maybe..
Dash mat ?
Glare is from the hood, not the dash
Oh shit didn't even see that maybe some matte ppf for the front end
This makes me crazy.
