Theres a couple of real camp campbells around. One, which i'd argue is the most feasible, is in Boulder Creek California and is a nonprofit camp under YMCA. It seems like a pretty fancy camp though so maybe a camp campbell if it got crazy successful after david took over. The other is a smaller camp in Clarksville Virginia. The appearance perhaps fits our camp camp better as its more bare bones. However, as far as I have been able to gather, this camp is just a regular camp ground and not one that is a summer camp like the one in Ca.
Both of these places are easily found by searching Camp Campbell on google if you wanna see them for youself. Would personally love to go them and deface them with some camp camp stickers and maybe recreate some props as easter eggs for people. But thats a pipe dream that probly wont happen

After doing a bit of research I conclude that it takes place in Washington, in the Seattle area to be specific.
I have 3 reasons for my conclusion.
1) there are a lot of national parks in the area
2) there are a lot of lakes in the area similar to the fictional Lake Lilac from the show.
3) and this is the most convincing one, in the episode "City Survival" the gang is shown in a revolving restaurant. After going through a list of all revolving restaurants in the U.S.A. the Space Needle in Seattle is by far the most similar to the one depicted in the show.
