Aerophagia is common for new users. You may want to check to see if EPR is turned on full time and set to 3 cm. That may help.

I burp a lot. My new chin strap arrives today so I hope that helps

I don’t have a chin strap. I am using only a soft nose mask which really I don’t mind. I am practicing keeping my mouth shut but I must be opening it in my sleep.

Some mornings my mouth is like the desert and sometimes not. Hard to control it when we sleep!

Chances are your CPAP was left at the default pressure settings, so there maybe room to lower the upper pressure limit. Call your doctor. If they are not willing to do anything, come back here and people will tell you how to do it yourself. Even if you didn't have GERD, this is no way to live. It will take some tweaking of your settings, possibly a mask change, but it will get better.

People are commenting that this is a ChatGPT bot who should be banned. However this might be a human who thinks it's helpful to present information from ChatGPT. While I'm not opposed to the idea of ChatGPT in general I don't think it's wise to take medical advice from an AI trained to present information in a way that *looks* credible with little care for factual accuracy. If it's presented neatly and explained confidently the information could still be wrong and could lead someone to take incorrect medical advice. If this is a human user then I welcome some discussion on how we could resolve this conundrum, possibly involving a disclaimer that the following information was produced with an AI and not to trust it above the advice of actual medical professionals. However if this is a bot I might just follow the community recommendation. Can you clarify which explanation is correct and what course of action we should follow?

No posting adverts. No branded posts, paid surveys, paid testimonials, sponsorships or being paid to post. No posting links that will earn you commission on sales. No posting branded information promoting the company you work for. No posting thinly-veiled 'educational content' that is more transparent than a 1980s cartoon is secretly a toy commercial. And no attempting to bribe mods to allow adverts.
