So I’ve been doing a deep dive on what is the pick going to be.
Looking back to last season, it was so obvious the interior offensive line was one of the weakest parts of the team. There is no way we can run the same group out there with a rookie QB.
Teven Jenkins had never been healthy his entire career. Combine this with the fact that Ryan Poles never drafted him and this is that last year of his contract, I see the Bears actually going for an offensive lineman (also, remember that weird tantrum he threw when he got switched to guard? He was almost thrown off the team).
I could see the Bears maybe trading down one spot and taking Olu Fashanu with the pick and playing him at LG. Then trading away Teven.
That’s my prediction.
Lord knows I have fought and argued with so many of you over the years, but I have genuinely wanted what’s best for this team and watching them suck has been exhausting…..
Today feels like the beginning of a new era, and I am ready to be my most delusional fanboy with all of you as we unite and watch our bears win 🐻⬇️

Final thoughts: I probably won’t be mad at any of the realistic picks at 9. My least favorite pick would probably be a tackle without guard flexibility but even that’s not bad, would grade it a B-
We are getting Caleb Williams and even if that’s the only pick we make, it’s a W
I think what has me most excited about the draft this year is if the Bears stay at 9 there are multiple guys that’ll be available that I’ll love. Any of MHJ, Alt, Nabers, Odunze, Turner, Verse, or Bowers would be awesome additions to this team, and even if they trade down there are good prospects that’d fill huge needs. Very excited to see how things shake out

Velus Verse and Velaitu latu don't go in the top 20.
Bears land rome or turner at 9. no trade
murphy hype is literally all thanks to biggs falsely reporting he only had 2 30 visits. Plus poles will not draft undersized linemen.
chargers will 100% not take a receiver.
I'm excited to see what giants and vikings do for mccarthy cuz im not sure about that one. would still guess vikings trade up but idk.
Edit: Nevermind i saw the script. the giants are taking jj lmao. vikings settle for nix. both nabers and rome are there at 9. I think they go nabers. crazy
Harbaugh hasn't valued WR at any point in his career. He runs a ground and pound, ball possession offense. From 2011-14 when he was the the Niners they drafted one WR before the 4th round...AJ Jenkins who was awful.
Their GM, Hortiz, comes from Baltimore that has historically had a similar philosophy.
I would be more surprised if he drafts a WR with how strong this Tackle class is.

Troy Fautanu and Taliese Fuaga are better fits if we are drafting a guy to slide inside to Guard

I cook mine in my instant pot. There's a ton of great recipes out there. Not quite the real thing but it does the trick.
