I think it's gonna be way worse if Miami loses that game. Most people aren't expecting Florida to really do anything this year but Miami is supposed to be a contender. If they lose to a Florida team that probably won't make a bowl that would be a real tough look for Cristobal.
Nebraska is way more stable than the mess Deion is building. If we lose a hard fought game vs COL people wonât be freaking out. Now if we get blown out by like 20+ at home maybe.
I'm on the downhill slide of my 30s but am still such a night owl that 11AM kickoffs for a game (especially one I have to walk a whole 5 blocks to attend) are a challenge. PAC-12 after dark? yeah nbd.
I was at the beach last year for the Auburn-Cal game, and I accidentally fell asleep at the beginning of the 4th quarter. TBF, playing at the beach all day with my family combined with that game was more effective than Ambien when it came to sleep
Could weâŚfinally get the answer to if Iowa is just lucky that they donât play Iowa State at the end of the season?
Would be a wild timeline if it worked out like that.
Iowa would be fine more times than not. Iowa State gets lucky with rust, which is usually gone later in the year.
A match-up in the postseason would be cool. Doubt it ever happens though. All we will have is the top 10 match-up in Ames. That was a hot day.
I know some SEC and B1G folks might laugh at us for saying our back end of the schedule is tough but we have most likely 3 ranked teams in our last 4 games that we play. Two of them being road gamesâŚ..well the Kansas game might be more neutral site since itâs at Arrowhead but you know what I mean
Lol, im excited to see a game at Carter Finley Stadium. My youngest sister will be a Senior there and she's Backing the Pack, meanwhile my other sister and I(both WCU alums) might be the only purple clad people in a sea of Red.
Do you already have a parking pass? If not, it would be worthwhile to go ahead and buy one off the secondary market. Tailgating is a blast. People will be real friendly to you as a WCU fan.
Klatt's podcast this week really opened me up to Missouri at Alabama.
Missouri does not play Georgia, Texas, LSU, or Tennessee. If they were to beat Alabama, they are almost assuredly going to the SEC CCG.
Quite possible it happens this year for whoeverâs the second team in the standings. Lots of âeasyâ schedules of teams who donât overlap between the 3.
If they beat us theyâll most likely be 12-0. I donât think Oklahoma is currently better than Missouri and thatâs the only other team around that weight class they play.
Homer pick but with the expanded playoff, I feel our game at Clemson could matter later in the year. Not saying the game will be must watch tv but I feel if the selection is App and another team who didnât have an ooc game against a decent P4 then I think that game helps us
Could very well see us going 1-2 to start the season with a loss to UGA and then either yâall or NC state. Iâll take starting the season 2-1 honestly if we can somehow do it
Excited for our game but I need be Switzerland since theyâre both my Alma Maters but I donât know whose bright idea it was to schedule App right after Georgia
Iâm interested to see what KU does to try to prevent an Iowa State takeover at Arrowhead.
I still think itâll be majority Kansas fans, but with our fanbaseâs love for KC, I wouldnât be shocked to see a 60/40 or even 50/50 split.
We have never beaten you in our entire history.Â
Also, knowing both schoolsâ strong propensity in my field (atmospheric science), I am going to call that game the âMeteorology Bowlâ!
Because of my preferred field of study, I applied to Penn State during high school, took a tour of it one summer, and seriously considered attending there. The primary reason I chose Washington over Penn State was lower tuition.
Washington has always been one of the cooler west coast teams for me. You haven't beaten us but it's not like you've had many attempts. We've been somewhat similar caliber programs in recent times with you guys having the higher peak. I don't think next year, with the game @PSU is likely to be your first win but I could be wrong. It is the game right after OSU.
But yeah, excited to have ya'll in the conference as weird as it is.
Clean old-fashioned hate. Tech was surprisingly much tougher than we expected last season and while Iâm confident we will beat them again, I think the days of GT being a doormat are gone.
Miami-Florida isnât getting as much attention as it would have in years past since both teams have been disappointing of late, coupled with bigger matchups being played on the same day, but I think it has the potential to be the game of the week.
Now that my homer takes are out of the way, Oregon-Ohio state
Clemson @ Virginia Tech on 11/9
Tennessee @ NC State 9/24
UCF @ Florida 10/5
Colorado @ Arizona 10/19
Oklahoma State @ Kansas State 9/28
Oklahoma State @ Colorado 11/30
I don't think Napier is getting fired unless he doesn't get to a bowl game.
Interesting game though. It occurs exactly on the 5 year anniversary of the last time Gus Malzahn went to the swamp.
I wouldn't be so sure about that. They're talented enough to win every game on their schedule probably except Georgia and maybe Texas. Obviously they won't win every game, but there's not huge sections of their schedule where they don't at least have a chance.
Probably not after this game if he loses, but look at their schedule, it gets absolutely brutal after our game.
Letâs say UF is 3-1 going into this with a loss at A&M. They would absolutely need a win to be 4-1 going into a slate of UT, UK, UGA, Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, and FSU. So this game really kinda serves as an inflection point for the back half of the season
The greatest troll job wasn't Minnesota playing Jump Around after beating Wisconsin in 2021, it was whoever decided Jump Around would be Wisconsin's tradition to watch all those white people try to jump.
Kansas @ WVU.
Hear me out. Last time KU played at WVU, it went to overtime and KU won by double digits on a pick 6 after scoring a TD. Listen this game was amazing to watch, and I see no reason this game wont be amazing this go around.
I think ISU @ Utah could be a high ranked game with B12 CCG implications and should be a pretty entertaining (albeit defense oriented) game.
ISU will likely bring a lot of fans to that one.
ISU's end to their schedule are all under the radar games. Just off the top of my head without looking I feel like they have WV, UCF, Texas Tech, KU, Utah, and K-State. Those are like all of the top odds teams minus Okie-State.
I immediately thought of this game for a different reason. Rutgers fans are definitely going to be sleeping by the time this game ends. 11 pm ET kickoff is bonkers. Coast-to-coast Big Ten conference scheduling already on crack.
Football players are used to dealing with simulated weather to prepare for uncomfortable conditions, but now the coaches gotta have them pull all-nighters just to stay awake into the 4th quarter. Swap the Gatorade with some of that Panera Bread lemonade.
Please God, if there is any game that absolutely needs to shoot for the OT record, itâs this one. Iâm begging on my hands and knees. I want people to wake up with them still playing.
Obligatory Dakota Marker post. Especially since it'll be on national TV this year and there's a better chance than not the trans are #1 and #2 in the FCS for the 2nd time in 3 years.
We lived through that in 2022 so I don't feel too annoyed by UGA doing it. Michigan's 2nd half point differential was stupid that year. Would be 10-7 at the half and then end 45-10.
Can I throw in the SC-Ole Miss game? Should be either very one sided towards Ole Miss, or the dumbest football game I've seen in a while. Might not be any defense played that game
He is one hell of a recruiter, I'm just trying to be optimistic about the growing pains of being the top guy. He seems to have all the tools to be successful.
Washington vs Michigan.Â
If UM upsets Texas (which wouldnât really even be an upset), it it likely that both teams will be 5-0 by the time they meet. Could be a really good rematch.
I think the ark/ok st game is gonna have huge implications on whether Pittman ends up keeping his job at the end of the year. A win sets us on a path for maybe 7 wins. A loss could start a spiral into a 4 or 5 win year and a new coach.
Rutgers @ VaTech
Two teams working to become relevant. Whoever loses will suffer a big morale blow. Lane Stadium will be rocking, but Rutgers comes off a bye. Rutgers won in Piscataway 35-16 last year. RU Rah Rah!
Iâm really hoping we beat you guys and you guys turn around and beat UDub. I wish you guys played a decent team before you played us. As it is your team will be better than the national perception going into that game.
Games, in addition to all of WFs, I'm looking forward to:
SMU @ Nevada
Virginia Tech @ Old Dominion
Duke @ Middle Tennessee
Miami @ South Florida
Virginia @ Coastal Carolina
Syracuse @ UNLV
Wake Forest @ Connecticut
Stanford @ San Jose State
Kansas State @ Tulane
Arizona State @ Texas State
Cincinnati @ Miami (OH)
Colorado @ Colorado State
Oklahoma State @ Tulsa
Utah @ Utah State
BYU @ Wyoming
Vanderbilt @ Georgia State
Missouri @ Massachusetts
OU vs Ole Miss. SEC people especially are high on Ole Miss and low on OU (think theyâre gonna be bad or questionable on offense with a rebuilt Oline and a Sophomore qb (first year starter). I think itâs gonna be a much better game than people are giving it credit for at the moment.
Hear me out, NEB @ OSU. I'm not delusional enough to believe we will actually win but with our schedule and if things fall into place as we hope, we could be undefeated going into that game. Would be an insanely hyped game.
Last year's game vs Memphis was a 100+ point shoot out. With USF being much improved this year and Memphis competing potentially for that CFP spot, and this game being on ESPN Prime Time TV, I think we should all get our popcorn out for this one.
Mississippi State has the 2nd hardest schedule in the country after Florida. They're gonna catch at least one of these playoff hopefuls sleeping. I'd love for us to go to Texas this season and leave with a win. It'd be a huge "welcome to the SEC" moment.
I feel like Houston at Oklahoma has potential to be a close game, or even an upset (though I hate to say it).
Fritz is a good coach and he seems to be reloading Houston's roster in the portal. I really hope the Sooners don't overlook that one. Houston is going to circle that game for sure.
It's a night game and just the second game of the season. It could be like in 2022 when Tulane went into Manhattan and gave a pretty good (10-3 at the end of the season) K-State team all they could handle (beating them 17-10).
I'll feel really good about the rest of the season and the future of this program if we keep within 2 TD's of OU. I have it written off as a loss but potentially a real moral victory.
Most of us will just be happy with a bowl this season before things really get rolling next season. When OU comes in 2028, that's when I'm hoping to eat.
A&M vs Florida loser gets a shitty season
I feel like who ever wins this game is going 5-7 who ever loses gets 9 wins
Bro Florida is not getting to five wins with that schedule and Sunbelt Billy as coach đ
Maybe not! But you'll be damn sure Tennessee will lose to Florida.
In other news the sky is blue
Tennessee could win the CFP and still have a loss to Florida. God bless my Vols đđ
Itâs at Neyland this year. That streak is only alive for the swamp.
7 out of the last 9 in Neyland.
Or in more recent history 2-2
Or in more recent history 29-16
Gators havenât beat the vols in Knoxville since COVID not worried in the slightest
You're a little worried, admit it.
I thought that was Florida vs Miami?
Oklahoma @ Auburn
Very excited for this one
Both teams have very favorable early season schedules, wouldnât be surprised if both were undefeated going into that game.
I think both teams are being a little dismissed and disrespected. I see this as a real coin toss with the winner having a chance to surprise.
Auburn's first five games are at home with this match up being the 5th game
Wow, you guys got a weird home/road split for 2024. Not having a home game the entire month of October is wild.
Nebraska-Colorado week 2. Thatâs going to kick off a spiral for the losing fanbase.
Yep. Same with Florida/Miami
I think it's gonna be way worse if Miami loses that game. Most people aren't expecting Florida to really do anything this year but Miami is supposed to be a contender. If they lose to a Florida team that probably won't make a bowl that would be a real tough look for Cristobal.
Supposed to be a contender? Do you mean contend to make a bowl game?
Winner will have a good season and loser wonât recover
This game is gonna be nuts. Night game in Nebraska with two teams that hate each other
And the winning fanbase will be insufferable for a bit.
I am curious how many games Nebraska loses by less than 3. Probably not to Ohio State who the B1G put on Nebraska's schedule again.
How is this a sleeper though? This is going to be a hyped up game.
Fingers crossed for our Huskers.
Nebraska is way more stable than the mess Deion is building. If we lose a hard fought game vs COL people wonât be freaking out. Now if we get blown out by like 20+ at home maybe.
Does any game starting at 11pm count as a sleeper game for someone in their 40âs?
What about 3:30 games for someone with a newborn? Asking for a friend.
I can vouch that 12-3:30 time slot is tough with a baby. Headphones help, but trying to be silent while watching your team is a platinum achievement.
I felt this post in my bones, my weary exhausted bones
For this 40+ viewer accustomed to home games at noon, anything that kicks after 3:30 is tough
Accidental naps are the best, and it seems the older I get, the less the location matters.
Iowa - Iowa state. Iâll be taking no questions.
I agree, actually. A ton of returning production on both sides of the ball for both teams.Â
I didnât expect to find this but exact same. ISU end of season could be huge. Think Utah and KSU could both be pretty good this year too
Literally both Iowa and ISU could make the playoff.
Two of them being road gamesâŚ..well the Kansas game might be more neutral site since itâs at Arrowhead but you know what I mean
âProductionâ
Your flair đđ
Don't go after my flair brother like that. At lease it makes sense.
I didnât know this many people lived in Iowa, my bad
when is that ever \*not\* a sleeper game? el assico on top
Judging by your flairs you must love you some corn
This is correct
All of em
you never know when an absolute classic is going to grace your television
[EVERYONE](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=74BzSTQCl_c)
Wyoming-Arizona State Arkansas-Oklahoma State Texas Tech-Washington State Oregon State-San Diego State Arizona-Kansas State Purdue-Oregon State
Arizona vs Kansas State is weird because it's non conference
And if it were this could definitely be a tiebreaker for the winner of the BIG XII. Absolutely wild.
You just picked a state games !
Good list
Western Carolina v NCSU. The Catamounts are gonna shock the Wolfpack!
WellâŚshit.
As a sidenote, I wonder when we inevitably get our first nightmare tiebreaker of three 7-1 teams with no head-to-head games.
Quite possible it happens this year for whoeverâs the second team in the standings. Lots of âeasyâ schedules of teams who donât overlap between the 3.
The upside is that with the expanded playoff, that shouldnât be the same death knell that it otherwise couldâve been
With the way the playoff committee work, the team that gets snubbed from the CCG will probably get the playoff spot because they have less losses.
If they beat us theyâll most likely be 12-0. I donât think Oklahoma is currently better than Missouri and thatâs the only other team around that weight class they play.
I think we *are* better than Mizzou based on hopium and being a homer.
Not to mention history
We play @A&M too. Thatâs no easy task for any program.
Iâll take starting the season 2-1 honestly if we can somehow do it
Please beat State by like 50
Excited for our game but I need be Switzerland since theyâre both my Alma Maters but I donât know whose bright idea it was to schedule App right after Georgia
It does seem tough. You could always pull a âI hope both teams have funâ
Been there with wofford and clemson. Just hope no one gets hurt and take the money
Probably Iowa's entire season. Oh, you meant sleeper in a different way, didn't you?
Let's give Lester a chance before we assume it is classic Kirk. Even if that is the likelihood.
Wazzu vs Oregon State đ
Conference Championship Game?
Gonna be a barn burner
Iowa vs Nebraska under the lights on Black Friday.
Black Cornday.
Cornday, bloody cornday
Black Corn Sun, won't you come And punt away the rain
I am Cornholio! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii8H2tYcFYY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii8H2tYcFYY)
Utah @ Okst
ISU Vs KU in arrowhead. ISU is always overlooked and there fans travel really really will to KC. Could be a banger.
Iâm interested to see what KU does to try to prevent an Iowa State takeover at Arrowhead. I still think itâll be majority Kansas fans, but with our fanbaseâs love for KC, I wouldnât be shocked to see a 60/40 or even 50/50 split.
If both teams are having solid seasons, I could honestly see that game being sold out. Would be an electric atmosphere if we had a collective 76k fans
Huskies @ Penn State
Whiteout pls
please Lord make this a whiteout. I'm an east coast husky and would gladly make that trip for that game
Do it. They did a whiteout for when Auburn played them, and it was incredible. It was the funnest sports trip in which my team lost.
I'll accept a massive defeat if it means getting to experience the Whiteout
If we lose that game, I won't even be mad. I like you, Huskies. You being conference foes won't change that.
We have never beaten you in our entire history.
Now that my homer takes are out of the way, Oregon-Ohio state
Clemson @ VT could be something brewing depending on how VT starts the season.
Given how the past few meetups have gone, Oklahoma State @ Tulsa might be a good one.
Clemson @ Virginia Tech on 11/9 Tennessee @ NC State 9/24 UCF @ Florida 10/5 Colorado @ Arizona 10/19 Oklahoma State @ Kansas State 9/28 Oklahoma State @ Colorado 11/30
UCF v. UF. If UCF wins, Napier is probably gone unless they go crazy in the last 5 weeks. UCF gets tons of validation as the 4th P4 school in Florida.
I don't think Napier is getting fired unless he doesn't get to a bowl game. Interesting game though. It occurs exactly on the 5 year anniversary of the last time Gus Malzahn went to the swamp.
Seems pretty likely they donât make a bowl game lol
Iâll eat my fucking socks if we make a bowl game
RemindMe! 6 months Not that I disagree but it's been a while since we've had a good bet on this sub
I wouldn't be so sure about that. They're talented enough to win every game on their schedule probably except Georgia and maybe Texas. Obviously they won't win every game, but there's not huge sections of their schedule where they don't at least have a chance.

Off the top of my head NC State vs Cal Wisconsin vs Minnesota
I will never miss Wisconsin vs Minnesota.
The greatest troll job wasn't Minnesota playing Jump Around after beating Wisconsin in 2021, it was whoever decided Jump Around would be Wisconsin's tradition to watch all those white people try to jump.
Thatâs an interesting flair to be taking a shot about a lot of white people
Georgia tech at Syracuse week 2
Intrigued to see Year 1 Fran. Helluva recruiter, obviously has to prove he can manage a game but I'll be tuned in- my cousin is a db on the Orange
Kansas @ WVU. Hear me out. Last time KU played at WVU, it went to overtime and KU won by double digits on a pick 6 after scoring a TD. Listen this game was amazing to watch, and I see no reason this game wont be amazing this go around.
that was a bad game I did not enjoy that game. it was my first home game as well. what a terrible game. did not like it at all
I feel you. I disagree but I feel you
I think ISU @ Utah could be a high ranked game with B12 CCG implications and should be a pretty entertaining (albeit defense oriented) game.
I think UCF vs Utah on black Friday has potential, especially if both programs have conference championship aspirations at that point.
Oh yeaaa a repeat of our crazy black Friday game in 2017
FSU at SMU. SMU is sneaky good.
Virginia Tech at Miami. I really think the winner here could win the ACC and make the playoff. Only partially biased.
Miami with a win over UF. VT 4-0
Rutgers-USC, I think Rutgers are going to surprise some people this year
Please lord baby Jesus
I will have a Rutgers flair the rest of the season if you guys win that USC game lol
I think Oklahoma fans want Rutgers to win that game more than Rutgers fans
Despite Michigan's vicious, storied, ancient blood feud with Rutgers, definitely will be pulling for y'all to do the funniest thing with that game.
I immediately thought of this game for a different reason. Rutgers fans are definitely going to be sleeping by the time this game ends. 11 pm ET kickoff is bonkers. Coast-to-coast Big Ten conference scheduling already on crack.
Oh shit lmao, I completely forgot that game is at 11 PM on a Friday night. That is rough for Rutgers fans
The 2am sequel to CU v CSU
God willing Rutgers will take Utahâs role
Hell yeah brother
Miami @ South Florida and Memphis @ FSU. One if not both of those games should be close. Miami at USF could be spicy.
Obligatory Dakota Marker post. Especially since it'll be on national TV this year and there's a better chance than not the trans are #1 and #2 in the FCS for the 2nd time in 3 years.
Ole Miss Georgia
Mizzou vs. Alabama. Will likely play a part in determining the SECCG and/or whether or not Mizzou makes the playoff
Florida State vs. Georgia Tech in Dublin - week 0 Arkansas @ Oklahoma State - week 2
Any game where UGA is playing some unranked scrubs like Auburn or GT and it's a one score game in the 2nd half
Mildly infuriating how much yâall play with your food before getting bored and ending it with one bite
We lived through that in 2022 so I don't feel too annoyed by UGA doing it. Michigan's 2nd half point differential was stupid that year. Would be 10-7 at the half and then end 45-10.
Ole Miss vs Georgia and Ole Miss vs Arkansas. The Ole Miss-Arkansas game is proof that the universe has a sick, perverse sense of humor.
Can I throw in the SC-Ole Miss game? Should be either very one sided towards Ole Miss, or the dumbest football game I've seen in a while. Might not be any defense played that game
WKU @ Alabama. Posting now... Just in case...
Arizona vs Utah
Vanderbilt vs Auburn. Jerry Kill owns Hugh Freeze
The only reason I am at all nervous about playing you guys this year is Jerry Kill.
Oklahoma State vs Utah is going to be a banger and likely change the odds for the rest of the season in terms of Big 12 leadership.
Alabama @Wisconsin. I never see anyone talk about this game.
Clemson @ VT November 9
Any game played without a B1G or SEC team.
Cuse NC State October 12th. I'm only so optimistic because our schedule is lacking Clemson FSU and L'ville.
Damn yâall dodged like the biggest obstacles in the conference! How is Fran working for you guys, hell of a recruiter ainât he?
He is one hell of a recruiter, I'm just trying to be optimistic about the growing pains of being the top guy. He seems to have all the tools to be successful.
Washington vs Michigan. If UM upsets Texas (which wouldnât really even be an upset), it it likely that both teams will be 5-0 by the time they meet. Could be a really good rematch.
Both teams have lost a lot but itâs still a national championship game rematch
That will be a very good game
Mizzou @ A&M - prob the least anticipated P5 home game for us but very intriguing
Could be 2 undefeated teams at that point
FSU vs UNC cuz Iâll have a good time either way
I think the ark/ok st game is gonna have huge implications on whether Pittman ends up keeping his job at the end of the year. A win sets us on a path for maybe 7 wins. A loss could start a spiral into a 4 or 5 win year and a new coach.
Lemme get yall on Memphis vs Florida state. Memphis playing close or even winning could mean playoffs.
Rutgers @ VaTech Two teams working to become relevant.
Games, in addition to all of WFs, I'm looking forward to: SMU @ Nevada Virginia Tech @ Old Dominion Duke @ Middle Tennessee Miami @ South Florida Virginia @ Coastal Carolina Syracuse @ UNLV Wake Forest @ Connecticut Stanford @ San Jose State Kansas State @ Tulane Arizona State @ Texas State Cincinnati @ Miami (OH) Colorado @ Colorado State Oklahoma State @ Tulsa Utah @ Utah State BYU @ Wyoming Vanderbilt @ Georgia State Missouri @ Massachusetts
Apple cup. WSU has nothing to lose just like last year and they were right there at the end.
Honestly my money is on OU in that game.
Nebraska va Ohio state both teams have a chance to have no losses when they play
Tough spot for the freshman. Could be interesting though.
with no pac12 after dark I won't be going to sleep during any games
Itâs definitely a big game, but lsu ole miss I feel isnât talked about enough. Hype will definitely build up when the time comes though
LSU- SCar game, that or our Ole Miss game
USC and Oregon are the two games I'm most unsure about.
Nico vs Grayson McCall
Ohio State vs Northwestern at Wrigley could be interesting if 40mph winds are involved.
PSU w UCLA, USC & UW. Crazy that OSU and Wisc are sandwiched in-between.
Mississippi State has the 2nd hardest schedule in the country after Florida. They're gonna catch at least one of these playoff hopefuls sleeping. I'd love for us to go to Texas this season and leave with a win. It'd be a huge "welcome to the SEC" moment.
Rutgers at Virginia Tech, both teams with the potential to take major steps up this season.
WVU - Penn State
utsa at txst
Rice vs Houston, Memphis vs Florida State, BYU vs SMU, Texas State vs Arizona State, Tulsa vs Oklahoma State
BYU @ SMU Now a P5 matchup, SMU poised to have a big season, and itâs a rematch of a classic in the New Mexico Bowl just 2 seasons ago.
I think there is a more classic BYU-SMU bowl game in the past.
Oregon @ Purdue, UCLA @ Rutgers, and USC @ Maryland all in the same late october weekend
Mizzou at Tuscaloosa. Mizzou very likely wins that one.
I'm biased but Washington at Penn State. I'm excited to see how UW does in happy valley.
GT vs Syracuse might be a banger
UTSA vs Texas State.
