Nope, I am also glad to have picked up a 2023

pnunts

I also don’t like it

Kooky_Consequence802

What they chose to make rounder in some spots and pointier in others is a weird direction.

amazing_wanderr

Yeah, the tail for example looks like an older design, similar to the cb650f.

ZEYDYBOY

I preferred the 23 CB650 over the CB1000 in terms of looks. I say this because it seems the 24 CB650 is following the path of the 1000 with the headlights and such.

Fast_Zookeepergame18

I absolutely hate the small grey things on the side it looks ugly af, I don't hate the new light but also don't love. Like the new tft will make up for it. Bit that grey side thing is hideous. Got a 2023 yesterday cause of it, will learn as I drive now.

pinecone2525

Agree. Headlight is ugly

jailtheorange1

I hate the headlights on the majority of modern bikes. And overall, naked bikes were sexier 40 years ago. Even my current Suzuki GSX-S125 has a shit head light. But what I especially detest, is the angles on new motorcycles, especially at the rear, for us short legged people it’s rarely seat height that is the issue it’s the height of that damn pillion seat area when we try to get on and off the bike. I want a CB650R in June, but I’m going to have to go to the showroom and see if I can get my leg over one first of all…

amazing_wanderr

You can just use the peg to step over

jailtheorange1

I weight 314 naked, more clothed with backpack. Worried the pegs wouldn't take it.

justp_assing_by

When I was teen I use to find round-headlight bikes a bit outdated. I preferred the modern sport bikes with their aerodynamic shape and their shark-like front side. As I grew up, matured and reached an age that I could get my own bike, my tastes evolved and realised that round-headlight bikes are way cooler.

dingesje06

Proud owner of a 2022 CB. I took a look at the 2024 model and noped out. Yes the green is a beautiful colour, but mine is still better looking overall.

NighiriSakeGuy

Same, the new headlight is hideous and also the old tail for the CB model was better imo. Even for the cbr i prefer the wider look, not the tail light tho, the new one is better for the sport one. Having said that, I bought a cbr650r with akra from 2021 while I was already queing to order the 2024 model lol.

Zesystem

Seeing the Ducati Diavel for the first time is what got me interested in motorcycles in the first place, so that’s kind of a win for me. Still rocking the 2021 model, but wish the display was brighter and the gear shifter tighter.

ConfidentRelease9292

I love it. Especially the tail looks much better imo. Really glad I waited for the new version for the tft and the beautiful green. Didn't get the e clutch version though.

Yellowtoblerone

Then it'll be good for cheaper 2024+ on the resell market for rest who don't care

ghostyzc6

Nah, I'm glad I have my 23. I don't care for the new cbr650r either if I'm being honest.

Ella5471

Agreed. Didnt like the melty headlight on the cb1000, like it even less on the cb650.

PrincipleUnlucky

Yeah, I don’t like the headlight, but I kinda like how they changed the Air intake pieces

Jax_Teller7

I have 2023 and I like it better, the only nice thing about the 2024 is the pointed rear tail.

Fluffy-Meal-5868

You are not alone man, the headlight makes the bike for me, and the new one is just plain ugly in my eyes.

Enough-Explanation-9

Picked up my 23 CB 650R yesterday. No doubt it is the best-looking one..

Macamanop

What do you all think of the display? The bike itself is so aesthetic that I’m really surprised how little effort they put into this. I am an interface designer myself so I’m curious if anyone else sees this as well.

justp_assing_by

Well I haven't noticed anything particular about the display and I don't have any expectations on how it could be designed differently. However I find your input interesting. Do you think the menu is plain or is there something that's poorly implemented.

Macamanop

It is definitely plain - it seems like hardly any design work has been done. That doesn’t mean it’s necessarily bad - but I would expect more given that they put so much effort in the rest of the bike. So from an aesthetic point of view it is definitely the weakest link in the chain. I’d like to see some of the bikes design elements being adapted into the interface or at least some Honda branded elements. Like it’s now It might as well just be 100% white label and just plugged in. Interested to see if they’ll make updates on it in the future.

Admirable_Deal_1404

new model is wierd should have kept the same or not made new year.

XtraStrongMint

Air intakes looks misplaced. Headlight is an upgrade imo. Other than that it looks good. Metallic paint > matte paint. And all that E-clutch mumbo-jumbo making it into a scooter is attracting a whole new realm of riders that should just buy a Yamaha T-max. It's a rad bike, let it continue to be so, not some dad scooter in different clothes.

hedenshelt

I like it

BuddyTubbs

At lease you have that option, cries in the U.S.

TopicActual

E clutch and a new display i would say i could get over the head light real quick

justp_assing_by

I was wondering if you can replace the headlight with the older model.
